Story
Bailey is a sweet bulldog mix who just turned 4 years old. She is affectionate, silly, and loves to snuggle, cuddle, and give kisses. She brings laughter to our home every day — especially during her morning zoomies. Bailey does best with people and is good with adults and kids. However, she must be the only dog in the home. Despite growing up with our other dogs and completing training, she does not do well living with other animals, and this has become unmanageable as our dogs have aged. This decision is absolutely heartbreaking for our family, but we are committed to finding Bailey a loving, stable home where she can thrive as the only pet. We are seeking a serious, understanding adopter who is willing to respect this requirement and provide her with the love and attention she deserves.

Story
🐾 Meet Hangman & Coyote: Two Timid Hearts Ready to Bloom 🐾Hangman and Coyote might just be the cutest bonded besties I’ve ever met. These one-year-old pups do everything together including sharing food, sharing a bed, and curling up tight in the corner of their kennel when the world feels a little too big. 💛They’re very scared right now, so scared that I had to carry them outside because they couldn’t bring themselves to leave their kennel. 😭😭But the second their paws hit the grass in the outdoor run?✨ They come to LIFE. ✨ZOOMIES. FULL. SPEED.I have videos of them racing around the yard, side by side, like two little kids finally let out for recess. It’s impossible not to smile. They’re incredibly timid with people, but here’s the beautiful thing...during my very first interaction with them, both pups let me pet them. That tells me that under all that fear is a whole lot of trust just waiting to bloom in the right home.🏡 What They Need:• A kind, gentle, patient human willing to go slow.• Another confident dog in the home would help them immensely.• They don’t have to be adopted together, but their bond is something special.• Each weighs under 50 lbs so they are small, sweet, and still so young.I’m scared they’ll keep getting overlooked because they huddle silently in the back of their kennel, but I promise you, once they feel safe, these two will shine.🌞If you’re the type of person who sees the scared ones and says, “Come here, baby, you’re safe now”, these pups need you to see them. 💕 They are underdogs in a very full shelter.Hangman and Coyote are at the Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter. Come by the shelter and ask staff to help you meet them Wednesday-Saturday, 12-5pm or Sunday, 12-4pm. Or apply for them online and let us know you're interested in meeting one or both of these boys. https://www.moaspets.com/adoptable-dogsPlease call the shelter at (706) 795-2868 to schedule a meet and greet.Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter is a non-profit shelter serving over 720 square miles. We are open intake, meaning we can not turn away animals from either county we serve. Our shelter intakes double or triple it's capacity every month so it is essential we place animals quickly into adoptive homes. Since so many animals enter the shelter we often don't have enough volunteers to write an individual bio for each. Please feel free to call the shelter Wednesday-Sunday to inquire about the animal you are interested in. 706-795-2868.Viewing and adoption hours at our shelter are Wednesday through Sunday from 12 PM to 5 PM. All adoption fees include age-appropriate vaccinations, flea treatment, deworming, and spay or neuter, microchip, and adoption packet. Fees:Dogs over 6 months old: $100Puppies under 6 months: $200. Cats and Kittens are $75 ($65 without microchip). For your convenience you can fill out an adoption application for any of our current residents at www.moaspets.com. Story
❤️Meet Sweethearts Tate and Tucker❤️We can’t sugarcoat their story. Tate and Tucker are scared. They are sweet, gentle souls who desperately want to trust, but we don’t know what they’ve lived through or what kind of hell they may have known before now. What we do know is that they are trying. Desperately. These boys don’t jump on you. They don’t demand attention. They run from you.But if you sit quietly, offer a few treats, and speak in kind, soft voices, something beautiful happens. Slowly… timidly… they’ll come closer. And once that trust begins to form, they’ll reward you with the softest “thank you” kisses.🥹Tate and Tucker are both 1-year-old males, gentle in every sense, with so much potential. They will need a patient, understanding human... someone willing to show them that love can be safe and humans can be kind. They are not broken. They are not hopeless. They are worthy of love. The right home will change everything. Please call the shelter at (706) 795-2868 to schedule a meet and greet.Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter is a non-profit shelter serving over 720 square miles.
