Meet Sophie. She will be 10 in October. She’s also deaf. I didn’t know she was deaf when I adopted her and not able to give her the support she needs. She lost her hearing over time. I was recently in the hospital & that was difficult for her. I’m getting older & need to find a home where she can live out her best life. Adopter must have a fenced yard or a safe place to walk on a leash. Safety is everything. I prefer someone with experience in caring for a deaf dog but someone willing to learn is good. She’s really a sweet girl. Routine is a big thing for her & would do better with someone that’s home most of the time. She knows when it’s treat time & will let you know. She quickly learned a couple of hand gestures like come & stop. She learns quickly & is highly food motivated. Are you the special person that can work with Sophie and help her navigate the silence?
