Story
Emily is a very special girl with a gentle soul. When you first meet her, she may be a little shy and reserved — but give her just a little time, and a ride or two in your car and you’ll discover the incredibly loving dog she truly is.  She needs a family with a rescue heart and a little bit of patience. With people she knows, Emily becomes friendly, affectionate, and even a little playful. She has a beautiful way of looking right into your eyes and becomes your best canine friend It’s no surprise that everyone who works with her becomes a big fan. Emiy is a reluctant owner surrender, from a woman that can no longer live on her own. Her orignial mom told us "Emily is a very special girl, and needs a special family", so that isn't just the opinion of our volunteers.   Dogs and puppies are spayed or neutered, Heartworm negative, microchipped, appropriately vaccinated and treated for parasites. Applications to adopt can be found at harthumane.org. If you cannot adopt a pet at this time but would like to support our rescue, donations can be mailed to Hart County Humane Society P.O. BOX 1062 Hartwell GA. 30643 or online at harthumane.org. The Hart County Humane Society is an all-volunteer rescue, we receive no government funding and rely on donations to fund our lifesaving programs ##2695635##

Story
Meet Rocket — a tiny smooth-coated sweetheart with a thoughtful spirit and a heart full of love. This charming black pup, a mix of purebred Chihuahua and purebred Patterdale Terrier, may not be the first to dive into the action, but don’t let that fool you — he just might be the smartest of the bunch. Rocket prefers to take it all in at first, quietly observing his siblings as they tumble and explore. He studies the scene, figures out the plan, and then confidently joins in, ready to make his move. It’s clear he’s a clever little guy who likes to think before he leaps - then enjoy every moment once he does. While he enjoys playtime, Rocket’s favorite plan is simple and sweet: find a warm, loving lap and settle in. That’s where he’s happiest, soaking up affection and giving it right back.  If you’re looking for a puppy who blends intelligence, calm curiosity, and snuggly devotion, Rocket is ready to land right in your heart. Story
Meet Stubbie (aka Stubbs) — a delightfully mismatched masterpiece. He’s got the head and body of a black Lab… perched proudly atop the short, sturdy legs of what can only be described as a basset hound–dachshund collaboration. The result? One perfectly unique pup who turns heads wherever he goes. Tipping the scales at 52 pounds, Stubbie is all Lab on top and all “surprise!” on the bottom. He gets along famously with dogs, cats, and pretty much anyone willing to admire his excellent proportions. He did have a home for a while, but through no fault of his own, he was surrendered when his people realized they didn’t have enough time for such a big personality. The silver lining? Stubbie comes fully equipped with house manners, leash skills, and is already housebroken — no assembly required. Come meet this one-of-a-kind, little(ish) black dog with a giant heart and an even bigger personality, and let Stubbie show you exactly why “perfectly unique” is his best feature. Puppies and Dogs are spayed or neutered, Heartworm negative, microchipped, appropriately vaccinated, and treated for parasites. They are available to inside only homes where they will be part of the family. Applications to adopt can be found at harthumane.org. Our adoption fees include the spay/neuter surgery, deworming, vet exam, and up to date vaccines. It also includes microchipping as well as heartworm testing. If you cannot adopt a pet at this time but would like to support our rescue, donations can be mailed to Hart County Humane Society P.O. BOX 1062 Hartwell GA. 30643 or online at harthumane.org. The Hart County Humane Society is an all-volunteer rescue, we receive no government funding and rely on donations to fund our lifesaving programs. ##2631951##
