Story
Emily is a very special girl with a gentle soul. When you first meet her, she may be a little shy and reserved — but give her just a little time, and a ride or two in your car and you’ll discover the incredibly loving dog she truly is.  She needs a family with a rescue heart and a little bit of patience. With people she knows, Emily becomes friendly, affectionate, and even a little playful. She has a beautiful way of looking right into your eyes and becomes your best canine friend It’s no surprise that everyone who works with her becomes a big fan. Emiy is a reluctant owner surrender, from a woman that can no longer live on her own. Her orignial mom told us "Emily is a very special girl, and needs a special family", so that isn't just the opinion of our volunteers.   Dogs and puppies are spayed or neutered, Heartworm negative, microchipped, appropriately vaccinated and treated for parasites. Applications to adopt can be found at harthumane.org. If you cannot adopt a pet at this time but would like to support our rescue, donations can be mailed to Hart County Humane Society P.O. BOX 1062 Hartwell GA. 30643 or online at harthumane.org. The Hart County Humane Society is an all-volunteer rescue, we receive no government funding and rely on donations to fund our lifesaving programs ##2695635##

Story
Meet Stubbie (aka Stubbs) — a delightfully mismatched masterpiece. He’s got the head and body of a black Lab… perched proudly atop the short, sturdy legs of what can only be described as a basset hound–dachshund collaboration. The result? One perfectly unique pup who turns heads wherever he goes. Tipping the scales at 52 pounds, Stubbie is all Lab on top and all “surprise!” on the bottom. He gets along famously with dogs, cats, and pretty much anyone willing to admire his excellent proportions. He did have a home for a while, but through no fault of his own, he was surrendered when his people realized they didn’t have enough time for such a big personality. The silver lining? Stubbie comes fully equipped with house manners, leash skills, and is already housebroken — no assembly required. Come meet this one-of-a-kind, little(ish) black dog with a giant heart and an even bigger personality, and let Stubbie show you exactly why “perfectly unique” is his best feature. Puppies and Dogs are spayed or neutered, Heartworm negative, microchipped, appropriately vaccinated, and treated for parasites. They are available to inside only homes where they will be part of the family. Applications to adopt can be found at harthumane.org. Our adoption fees include the spay/neuter surgery, deworming, vet exam, and up to date vaccines. It also includes microchipping as well as heartworm testing. If you cannot adopt a pet at this time but would like to support our rescue, donations can be mailed to Hart County Humane Society P.O. BOX 1062 Hartwell GA. 30643 or online at harthumane.org. The Hart County Humane Society is an all-volunteer rescue, we receive no government funding and rely on donations to fund our lifesaving programs. ##2631951##

Story
Once upon a time, there was a little puppy named Zorro who didn't get the kind of beginning every puppy deserves.  Life started out a little hard for this sweet four month old lab mix, but somehow, through it all, Zorro never stopped believing that people were wonderful. In fact, if you ask Zorro, people are the very best thing in the world. Sure, he enjoys toys and can happily entertain himself with a squeaky friend  or a game of puppy make-believe.  He's clever, curious, and always ready for a little fun.  But if given a choice between a toy, a treat, or a meal and a warm lap?  Zorro will choose the lap every single time. This little boy has never met a stranger.  Every person he sees is simply a friend he hasn't had the chance to love yet.  Affection seems to ooze from every pore of his body.  He leans in for cuddles, melts into your arms, and looks at you with hopeful eyes that say, "Will you stay a little longer?" Zorro is discovering how beautiful life can be.  He has safety now.  He has toys.  He has full meals and soft places to sleep.  But there is still one piece missing from the fairy tale he dreams about. His person. The one who will be his family.  The one whose footsteps he'll follow from room to room.  The one whose lap will become his favorite place on earth.  The one who will love him with their whole heart -- and be loved right back with a devotion so pure and complete that only a dog like Zorro can give it. Zorro isn't looking for a perfect world.  He isn't asking for a castle or a grand adventure.  He's simply hoping for someone to choose him.  Someone to tell him that his hard days are behind him and that he finally, truly belongs. And if you are lucky enough to be that person, you'll discover what everyone who meets Zorro already knows:  this sweet boy has a heart big enough to fill an entire home with love! Story
Meet your new best friend! This beautiful 4-month-old Mastiff mix girl is proof that sometimes the biggest hearts come in the sweetest packages.  Tiger has a gentle, loving personality that wins hearts wherever she goes.  While she enjoys playing with toys and exploring her surroundings, what she loves most is being close to people. Tiger's favorite "move" is to quietly settle in beside you, lean up against you, and gazeup at you with the most adoring eyes.  She has a special way of making you feel like you are the most important person in the world - and to Tiger - you are.  Her calm, affectionate nature makes her the perfect companion for anyone looking for a loyal best friend. Tigers gets along wonderfully with everyone and loves making new friends, whether they have two legs or four.  She is curious, intelligent, and eager to learn.  In fact, one of her brothers, who shares the same easygoing, gentle temperament, is currently being trained as a service dog - a testament to the wonderful disposition found in this litter. Tiger is looking for a family that is committed to helping her learn and grow.  In return, she promises a lifetime of devotion, companionship, and unconditioinal love - and don't forget the loving "leans" that she saves for her favorite people.  If you are looking for a puppy who is equal parts sweetheart, cuddle buddy, and loyal friend, this precious girl may be exactly who you've been waiting for. Story
If puppies could choose a career, Checkers would probably be a professional people pleaser. At four months old, this sweet Lab mix has already figured out what matters most in life:  being close to his people.  While some puppies charge head first into every new adventure, Checkers likes to take a moment to see how things unfold.  He's not usually the first one to race off toward a new horizon - but he is definitely not the last.  Once he knows everything is safe and exciting, he's right there, wagging his tail and ready to join in. Checkers has a gentle confidence about him.  He watches, learns, and then happily follows along, always wanting to do the right thing.  His greatest joy isn't finding the next big adventure - it's sharing it with someone he loves.  Whether he is sitting beside you while you work, following you through the yard, or curling up nearby after a busy day, Checkers seems happiest when he's part of the team. There's something incredibly endearing about a puppy who looks at you as if your approval means the world, and that's exactly who Checkers is.  He has a kind heart, a willing spirit, and a quiet devotion that makes people fall in love with him almost instantly. Now all Checkers needs is a forever family to call his own -- a place where he can unpack his little suitcase, settle into a life filled with love, and spend his days doing what he does best:  making his people smile. If you’d like to meet Checkers, please fill out an adoption application: https://luckydaypuppies.org/adopt/ ##2698539##
