Story
We have had Sadie all of her life. We got another dog when she was 1 year old and unfortunately due to changing circumstances we no longer have the time or money to take care of them both. She is EXTREMELY friendly, completely house trained, can be trusted to be left alone for extended periods of time. She tolerates small children but does really well with older children and adults. She gets along great with other dogs and cats as well. Sadie does have allergies that require some dietary consideration. We noticed a significant improvement when we switched her away from chicken- and beef-based food. Unfortunately, the food that worked best for her became difficult for us to afford.I want so desperately to find a good home for her. We love her very much but belive it isn't fair to her for us to keep her when someone else may be able to give her a better life. I hope to hear from you, thank you!

Story
Cooper just turned 5 years old. He is a high energy very alert dog. He doesn’t miss anything and wants to be the center of attention. He enjoys running around in my large fenced in yard chasing rabbits, squirrels and whatever. Loves to go on walks. Cooper has only been around me so that’s all he knows. Due to job change I can’t leave him inside house 15+ hours a day. I really think he would love a farmhouse atmosphere where he could run indoors and out. He loves treats and when it’s food time I let him eat in peace because that is his time and I don’t bother him. Inside he likes to find the near AC vent and plop down. He is my best buddy but he deserves a family that can give him more time and not being inside so much by himself. He got his first few shots at Vet but hasn’t been back. Cooper is potty trained. He has never went inside and always wants to be around someone or just always being nozy. He loves to play with his toys. I need to find him a good home soon. Thanks for looking.

Story
Lily is a very loving, hyper girl. I got her as a puppy from a no harm shelter. The place I’m living won’t allow her to come inside and I’m moving very soon, so the place I’m moving to won’t allow me to bring her. She needs a home that will show her lots of love and attention. She hasn’t been around other animals, so I don’t know how she will be around them, she is hyper and tends to jump on kids wanting to play. She also would do best around women owners. Men can be present, but not as sole owners. She has a fear of males, but can tolerate them if a woman is present.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Jesse, a young Border Collie about 2 years old, is up for adoption through the Midwest Border Collie Rescue in northern Illinois.  Jesse is a terrific boy who hasn't gotten the attention he should because he is a bi-color smooth-coat BC, which may seem unusual to some.  (However, smoothies are the best when it comes to coat maintainence, you should know!) Jesse is being fostered in northern Illinois and MWBCR says that he is truly a gem of a dog:  loyal, smart, loves to learn, gets along with all other dogs, not over-the-top in energy level, and with great house manners.  He's very treat and ball-motivated, which would seem to make him an excellent candidate for dog sports.   If you're interested in meeting or learning more about Jesse, please reach out to Midwest Border Collie Rescue about him. About 1 year old • Plymouth, IN Toby is an adorable young Border Collie mix with a heart full of love and a toy box full of favorites! This boy lives for toys — toss one, squeak one, crinkle one, and he’s instantly your biggest fan. He rides beautifully in the car, enjoys daycare, and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. He’ll happily chase the foster’s cat for fun, but he’s never shown any intent to harm. Toby can get overwhelmed in new environments and is suspicious of strangers at first — but once he feels safe, he becomes incredibly affectionate, silly, and totally himself. In places he knows, he’s a very normal, happy, fun dog. Toby’s Highlights LOVES toys — seriously, they’re his love language Great with other dogs Rides well in the car Cat-curious but harmless Very affectionate once comfortable Enjoys daycare and is social there Needs time and patience in new environments If you’re looking for a sweet, sensitive, toy-loving boy who will adore you once he trusts you, Toby might just be your perfect match.   Fostered in Plymouth, IN   Please contact stephodellbc@hotmail.com if you have any questions about Toby.  You can complete an application to adopt Toby or any of the dogs on our website at www.comebyebcrescue.org .    ***  The potential adopter will get a refund on the Application Fee if it’s determined by the Foster Parent that it’s not a good match for the dog and the dog for them, if we do not process their application.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 11, 2026, 11:55 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact alhargarten@gmail.com for more information about this pet.Meet Mongo!! Border Collie/Australian Shepherd Mix — Male, 2 Years Old Mongo is a beautiful red-and-white Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix weighing about 55 pounds. He was found roaming in Batesville, Indiana and picked up as a stray, so we don’t know much about his past. What we do know is that he’s social, affectionate, and eager to connect with both people and animals. Mongo is very interested in other dogs and cats and has not shown any aggression toward them. He is friendly with new people, adults, and children, and he loves attention. Because he doesn’t always realize his size and is prone to jumping up on people, he will need continued work on manners. For now, he may be best suited to families without very young children or older/frail individuals who could be knocked over. His energy level is moderate-high, but he still benefits from regular exercise and structure. He enjoys walks, is good on a leash, and does best with several outings a day to run off some energy. Mongo is crate trained, still learning his house manners, and shows a lot of potential as he continues adjusting to home life. He is being fostered in Westville, Indiana.  Please contact alhargarten@gmail.com if you have questions about Mongo.      *** The potential adopter will get a refund on the Application Fee if it’s determined by the Foster Parent that the foster dog is not a good match for the applicant and we do not process their application.
