Roscoe is just an absolutely outstanding boy. He makes no mess in his kennel and is very gentle and well mannered on leash. We have paired Roscoe with various other dogs and he is always tolerant and playful. Please come down to Macoupin County Animal Control and view Roscoe for adoption. Our hours are Weekdays 10-2, closed Tuesday, and Saturday 8-12.

Millie aka Potato aka Loaf aka Butterball is the most wonderful girl. She walks perfect on and off leash, does not mess in her kennel and does not show any interest in cats. She doesn’t beg food from kids and she gets along well with calm dogs. Millie was reported to have been thrown from a car and left on the side of the road and we just can’t figure out why. Millie desperately needs a diet and some walks. Come down to Macoupin County Animal control and give her a few squeezes and possibly take her home. Our hours are Weekdays 10-2, closed Tuesday, and Saturday 8-12

Wolf is a sweet, smart, active dog. She will be 3 years old on Dec 25, 2026. I have had her since she was 6 weeks old. She’s great with my other 2 dogs, good with older children, but does not like cats. Or squirrels! I was gifted this dog but have never really been able to spend the time with her that she requires to live a full happy life due to my own special needs children. She’s current on shots and spayed. Potty trained, crate trained, knows basic commands. HIGHLY food motivated, she loves cheese! She needs someone who is able to take her on long walks daily, throw the tennis ball outside with her, and allow her to grow into the brilliant beautiful happy dog that she truly is!

Maisie is a 55lb, 2-1/2 year old, 3/4 Bernese Mountain Dog-1/4 Australian Shepard Mix. We adopted Maisie from a lady that was needing to rehome her due to a housing situation in early September. Our issue with Maisie is that she doesn't get along with our 2 indoor cats, as they have become skittish of her and their eating habits have changed significantly because they are being herded. Then at night Maisie will only sleep until 2 or 3am in her crate as the cats move around the house and get her attention. Someone is usually home with her most of the day and once the cats settle in for the day Maisie settles down and is calm and contented to be by your side and follow you around the house a bit. Ideally, Maisie would find a home with no cats to herd or distract her and a fenced in yard to let her stretch her legs and get the zoomies out. Also, she loves to go for car rides and is very calm as she travels.

We adopted Juniper several years ago from a shelter. She’s a very high energetic dog and needs lots of exercise and room to run. She is also very affectionate and loves to cuddle. She would do best in a home that had plenty of space and someone who can spend time with her so she can get exercise. She does best with older kids due to her strength and energy level.We’re unsure of her breed. We were told Lab Shar Pei mix but we think she’s Lab Vizsla mix due to her high energy and hunting dog tendencies.
