Bear is a 4-year-old goofball with a big personality, an even bigger grin, and the bounciest run you’ve ever seen. He’s a total ham who keeps himself entertained with his favorite toys, especially his blue squeaky ball, which staff often hear him happily rolling around his kennel.Bear knows how to enjoy the little things while he waits for his new home: jogs with his favorite volunteer, cozy snuggles with his friends, frozen peanut butter KONGs, pushing around his big yellow herding ball, and working hard to get every last treat out of his KONG Wobbler. He also never turns down a good sunbathing session. He’s lived with other dogs before and would love a family who can help him channel his goofy, energetic spirit into fun and positive outlets. Dodge is a 5-year-old Husky with striking blue eyes and a whole lot of heart. He’s been at HSNEI since early December 2025, and while he soaks up love from staff and volunteers every day, shelter life just isn’t his style. This smart boy is ready for more adventure and a place to call home.Dodge has the cutest habit of carrying his big stuffies everywhere he goes, even bringing them along on walks and bathroom breaks. He also gets out for weekly hikes with a volunteer, and his favorite so far has been exploring the Dug Road Trail and Community Prairie in Decorah. If you happen to spot him out and about in his “Adopt Me” bandana, don’t be shy, he’d love a hello! He truly lights up when visitors and volunteer groups stop by to spend time with him, but what he really wants is a family of his own. If you’re looking for an intelligent, affectionate companion with a playful streak, Dodge is ready to be your adventure buddy.
