Story
Meet Rocky, the goodest good boy! Recently diagnosed with diabetes insipidus, Rocky now takes a simple pill a few times a day—and since starting his medication, he’s feeling so much better! This playful young guy sometimes gets so excited about his favorite toys he forgets to think, but a quick snack brings his focus right back. Rocky is good with cats, though his energy might be a bit much for feline friends who prefer a quieter life. Because of his playful nature, he’d be best with older kids. Most of all, Rocky loves to snuggle. Whether it’s on the couch or curled up at your feet, he’s happiest close to his people. ##2197265##

Story
Say hello to Windy, the 5 month old puppy with the ears of a secret agent and the personality of a highly demanding executive. She's beautiful, she's cautious, and she runs a very tight ship. A Tender Soul: While she acts tough and feisty, Windy is actually a bit of a skeptic. The world is big, and she finds many new things to be "suspect." She thrives with reassurance to show her that new sights and sounds are not so scary.  Ear-Powered Intelligence: Her incredible, stand-up ears aren't just for show—they're a high-powered information gathering system that makes her look like she's permanently hunting for more gossip. Also, her stunning eyes mean she always gets what she wants. Training Excellence: This puppy is a stickler for the schedule. She's great at house and crate training, but her clock is non-negotiable. She will happily sleep all night, but she views alarm clocks as rude and will begin her subtle (and not-so-subtle) crying demands before the alarm goes off to ensure breakfast is served on time. Don't be late. Leash Walking is for Tourists: The outside world? Big and terrifying. Leash training is a work in progress because she is pretty sure the sidewalk is a lava flow and the wind is plotting against her. She needs a family that can turn walks into a chill adventure, not a life-or-death mission. The Reward: After a full day of observation and brave playing, Windy loves to snuggle up on the couch. She is looking for a secure, loving, and patient home that will embrace her need for routine and help her blossom into a brave, well-adjusted adult. If you have an established canine mentor, a love for tight routines, and a couch built for champion snugglers, apply to adopt Windy! She promises to keep you on schedule and safe from suspicious socks. ##2526395##

Story
Poptart—also known as Poppy—is a sweet, quirky little pup who knows exactly what she likes. She isn’t currently living with any other dogs, but she has lived with dogs before—and from that experience, we know she’d do best in a home with either no dogs or very easygoing companions. Poppy loves her toys, treasures her personal space, and thrives in a calm, predictable environment.   She also has a huge cuddly side. If you work from home, she’ll happily curl up beside you (or on top of you!) all day long. She’s the perfect little shadow—affectionate, loyal, and always ready for snuggles. And her favorite thing in the world? Tennis balls. She’ll carry them around proudly and even fall asleep with one tucked under her chin.   One unique thing about Poppy: she’s allergic to mosquitos! With dog-safe spray and the occasional Benadryl, it’s simple to manage—but it does mean she prefers cozy indoor living over long outdoor adventures. If your perfect day involves snacks, cuddles, and a Netflix marathon, Poppy will be your ideal companion.   If you’ve been missing a warm, flaky breakfast pastry in your life, don’t wait—get your application in for this little Poptart today!   ##2475355##

Story
Meet Kansas!   This adorable puppy is a survivor! He beat the odds and survived a deadly parvo infection. Thankfully the local shelter he arrived at quickly recognized the signs and got him safely to the ER. After 3 terrifying days, he turned the corner and has been vibrating with life ever since!  Kansas is fully potty trained and loves his doggie siblings. His foster home has both big and small dogs, and while he does really well with them, he does need slower introductions to new dogs. He would likely do best with a submissive sibling as he does like to be in charge! He does sleep in his kennel at night and [now] goes in without argument, but he certainly would prefer to sleep with his human if that was allowed.   Kansas is around 7-8 months old and has quite a bit of Puppy energy. He loves to play and can frequently be found roughhousing with the other dogs. He is still in that puppy face where he is learning boundaries, but has proven to be very smart at learning new commands!  The sweet little fellow will make an excellent dog for someone that has a fairly active lifestyle. well, he would prefer a fence in yard. It is not required as long as his future humans are dedicated to frequent exercise. Visit www.happyfeetpetrescue.com to submit an adoption application for this handsome fella!  ##2563497##

Story
Meet Brownie — your new built-in best friend. Brownie is a joyful, affectionate little guy who’s ready to be someone’s whole world. If you’re looking for a dog who loves to snuggle as much as he loves to play, this sweet boy might be your perfect match. Brownie’s favorite place to be is curled up on a warm lap, soaking in all the love he can get. But the moment you toss a fluffy squeaky toy, he lights up — fetching it again and again with puppy enthusiasm. And yes… he gets the zoomies. The adorable “fly across the couch, bounce to a chair, and sprint back again” kind of zoomies that will make you laugh every single day. He’s young and eager to learn, and he’s already very close to mastering his house training and leash skills. He does well in his crate for short stretches, but mostly he just wants to be close to his person. If you work from home or love the idea of a constant little sidekick, Brownie will think he hit the jackpot. Brownie currently lives peacefully with three senior dogs and a senior cat. The cat is adept at avoiding him, but Brownie would not be recommended in a home with cats unless they were very dog saavy. He’d happily fit into a home with other calm pets — or soak up all the attention as your one and only. A quieter home with someone around most of the time (plus a fenced yard for playtime) would be his absolute dream. Story
Meet Glinda, the good witch!   This sweet little gal is just under 40 pounds, great with dogs, and while she was very curious of the cat, she was also very respectful when the cat demanded some boundaries. She recently has been introduced to her foster brother, a small rabbit! She is very respectful of his boundaries, and gives him his space when need be.   Glinda is fully potty trained, crate, trained, and an all-around great girl. She has a lot of puppy energy in her, and needs a dog sibling or active home that can tire her out. She's a great playmate, and is always up for a run or hike. After her adventurous days she loves to snuggle up on the couch, and sleep in your lap. She takes being a lap dog very seriously! One of her favorite things to do is to play fetch, and watch you cook dinner just to make sure nothings fallen on the floor.  Glinda knows that there's no place like home. So strap on your ruby red slippers, and follow the yellow brick road all the way over to our website for an adoption application!  ##2545140##
