Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please understand that we get many applications for our available dogs. We review each application and do our absolute best in choosing a home that best suits each dog and his/her needs and personality. Hi!  I’m Rose but my foster Mom also calls me Rosie, Rosie Posie, Rosemarie and other silly things. My favorite things are soft beds, yummy food, treats and other dogs.  I like being out in the yard in the sun sniffing things and exploring. I’m usually very quiet but if my siblings start barking I will follow along. I don’t like storms and really loud noises…..it makes me nervous. I didn’t have a very good start in life and remembering it makes me sad so Foster Mom will explain.   Rose was a puppy mill Mom who was being disposed of because she was not “useful”anymore. Most likely because she developed a mammary tumor. Our vet removed it with great margins and she remains cancer free. She was terrified of people (who can blame her) and she did not understand stairs or outside or grass. Her comfort was found in dogs and that is still her comfort space. Rose has made great progress while in foster care but she still has fears of people. She will willingly take a treat from my hand and sleeps in bed with me but prefers to be as far away as possible.  She has learned to go upstairs but still will not go down. Part of the hesitation could be because her front legs are slightly shorter than her back legs and I believe she is afraid she will fall forward but she does need more training steps and leash work.  The ideal home for Rose is someone who understands and is patient with her fears and has the time and patience to continue to work with her.  Another dog in the household would be great but not a must. While a fence would be great it’s not a must as long as the forever home understands that she must be kept in a secure harness and collar on leash while outside. And of course prior experience with puppy mill dogs is a plus.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 29, 2025, 4:52 pm

Story
Meet Josie! Josie is a 1.5-year-old, 35lb Pittie mix with a bright, happy personality. She is housebroken, crate trained, and knows basic obedience. Josie is an outgoing girl, but not overwhelming, and she has an impressive vertical jump (which is why she requires a privacy fence) and she’s currently working on greeting people with a polite sit. Josie lives with many other dogs in her foster home, but she has shown us there are some things she does not like to share .. such as her humans’ affection. Which is why she is labelled as needing to be an only pet in the home. She also has some prey drive toward cats and squirrels and is still learning better leash manners. Josie came to us from a small rural shelter in South Carolina. She has been thriving in her foster home and is a fun mix of adventure and snuggle partner. Black Dog Syndrome is very real, add to that she is also a pittie mix and needing to be an only dog and we know we are looking for a one in a million adopter. We know there is the perfect family or person out there who will appreciate her lust for life and sweet, loving, and loyal nature. Josie is looking for: • A home where she is the only pet • Someone who enjoys an active dog with a zest for life, but also a good cuddle Adoption Info: We adopt and transport throughout much of the United States. I’m looking for a new home, my first mom passed and I am looking for my new place in life. I have some separation anxiety, my foster mom and dad have worked with me and I’m getting better, but I still need a little medication daily to help. I’m housebroken, quiet most of the time – but boy do I like to sit on dad’s lap and tell him how hard mom and I worked all day! I’m up to date on vaccines and neutered. If you think you might have the right home for me, please talk to my foster mom!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 18, 2025, 4:26 pm

Story
Meet Rex ! — a bright, confident, pup who’s ready to find his forever family! (REX currently lives with his foster family in Texas, He will be transported through Project Freedom Ride when he's adopted) Rex was the first male puppy to walk right up to his foster and ask for attention, and that bold, loving nature has stayed with him. He’s incredibly intelligent, always watching his foster for cues, and already knows sit and down. Among his brothers, Rex has naturally taken on the role of leader, guiding them with calm confidence. Sadly, Rex, his momma, and his siblings were left to fend for themselves on the streets of a small rural Texas town until a kind couple opened their home to keep them safe. Now Rex is growing into a wonderful young dog with so much love to give. If you’re looking for a smart, affectionate pup with a big heart and an even bigger future, Rex is your boy. Story
Toffee is a 3.5–4-month-old, 20lb puppy, who’s all legs, sweetness, and curiosity. She’s a fun, gentle girl with a naturally shy side, but her confidence grows more each day as she learns about the world around her. She’s currently thriving in a busy foster home with two female resident dogs, three cats, and two teenagers ... she’s handling the everyday chaos beautifully. Toffee is doing great with both house-training and crate-training, and she absolutely loves playing with other dogs. Because Toffee takes cues from confident pups, she will do best in a home with a friendly, well-adjusted dog companion who can help show her the ropes. She’s still learning polite manners with cats (she’s more playful than they prefer), but she’s eager to please and making steady progress with guidance. Toffee is a loving, thoughtful puppy who will blossom in a patient home that can continue building her confidence and helping her shine. Fostered in Evans, GA Available for adoption throughout much of the U.S. via our transport program Adoption Inquiry Form (copy and paste into browser) https://form.jotform.com/211295763938164
