Meet Prince! Prince was seen being shoved from a car here in the middle of town, he was quite shy when he first arrived and does take a few minutes to warm up to new people. He absolutely loves kids! we think he came from a home with a younger boy to play with as well, we had a volunteer stop by and he took right to him, so his ideal home would be one with kids. Prince is fully vetted including Neuter, Heartworm Test, Vaccines including Rabies, Dewormed, Monthly Preventatives as well as Microchipped. Scooter was found playing in the middle of the highway and brought to the shelter, unfortunately his owner never stepped up to claim him :( He is a good boy who is playful and fun loving! Scooter will be attending the Puppies for Parole Training Program where he will get 10 Weeks of training including, Kennel, Leash Walking, House Training, Basic Commands such as sit, stay down and more! Her foster says "Beth is the sweetest; she has lots of fun energy! She is friendly and after she is done running and sniffing around, she’ll cuddle up next to you. She’s a smart cookie but needs some training and patience"

A Mo-Kan application must be filled out to begin the process.(Sending an "Inquiry" via Petfinder does not constitute an application.) Copper is a 5 year old, high energy 48 pound purebred border collie who recently lost the loving home he had since puppyhood. This gorgeous blue merle boy came into rescue and hasn’t looked back. His sweet sister, Charlie, is in a separate Mo-Kan foster home. Copper loves people of all ages, especially children. He is not good with cats. Copper was used to being an outdoor dog and is learning that there are different rules indoors. He is very puppylike: perpetually happy, curious, and runs everywhere instead of walking. Copper responds best to gentle touch and calmly delivered commands. He is a blank slate, and eager to please! He is crate trained and runs in preemptively to get a treat, which he takes treats very gently. “Copper, come!” appears to be his favorite command. He thinks he is a lap dog and is learning to sit for affection instead of jumping up for it. Copper walks moderately well on a leash and is learning to stay to one side of his person. He enjoys outings to our local dog park for the people who pet him as much as the dogs he runs with. He is very skilled at reading and reacting appropriately to new dog friends and takes their feedback well. Copper would do best in a home with a consistent routine. Having been an outdoor dog after his first year of life, he is re-learning potty training. He is crated during the workday with a mid-day dogsitter break while his foster is at work and keeps his kennel clean. He loves being outside, running in a yard and wrestling with his 55 pound housemate, so a fenced yard and a dog companion are preferred. Copper is not good with cats and is hyper focused on chickens.
