Story
RONALD, a handsome devil dog was found on 250 before coming to our pound. We believe him to be an Aussie/Lab mix. RONALD is full of energy and spunk. He has a great personality--one that would probably label him as a class clown if he were a kid in school. He is very treat motivated and will obey for one. RONALD loves to run and play. His favorite toy is a ball and he will chase it longer than your arm will allow you to throw it for him and that's ok, because he will throw it up in the air and run after it. RONALD can be a little testy around other male dogs, but seems to do better with female dogs. He loves every person he meets. This boy is not a couch potato and would do best with an active family, especially since he is young (around a year). Harrison County Dog Pound, 82900 Toot Rd. Cadiz, OH 43907 Hours: M-F 10am-4pm/Sat. 9am-2pm/Closed Sundays and holidays. 740-942-4080. Out of state adoptions are welcomed; Adoption applications available at the pound or online at www.harrisoncountydogpoundvolunteers.org. Story
MOLLY, a 2 year old black German Shepherd mix lost the only home she has ever known when she was surrendered to our pound by her family because she liked to bolt out of an open door. MOLLY is housebroken, spayed, and crate trained. She is timid around people she doesn't know and will give a low growl to let them know that she doesn't want to be forced to meet a new person. If you let her be and offer her a snack or two, she will warm up once she trusts you. MOLLY does like to follow people she trusts around. She is playful, loves to go for long walks, and cuddle with you on the couch. We think MOLLY will do best in a home without a lot of yelling. She needs a calm environment to be comfortable. MOLLY gets along with other dogs, should not be placed in a home with little kids (10 and up is fine), and doesn't like cats. Harrison County Dog Pound, 82900 Toot Rd. Cadiz, OH. Open: Monday-Friday 10am-4pm; Sat. 9am-2pm, Closed Sundays and holidays. Apply to adopt in person or online at harrisoncountydogvolunteers.org. Story
My name is Kelsey. I was rescued from the euthanasia list from a high kill shelter in Texas. I had an adopter, but she got sick and could no longer take me. I had a nice lady step up to foster me while I search for my forever home. I'm on the smaller side between 30-35lbs but am strong and muscular for my size. I want to be friends with the resident dogs and most like me, but one doesn't, so I'm looking for a home where everyone will like me. I'm not sure about cats though as I do not have any cats in my foster home. I'm a good girl and I really get attached to my human. I do get a little bit jealous, but easily corrected. I do not like to share my bones, treats, or toys...I prefer to have those in my kennel by myself. I do like to play bite, but if i can too rougu, I'm easily corrected. I'm housetrained and very food motivated and have been learning sit and manners in my foster home...as I get excited and like to jump. If you feel like I might be a good fit, I'd love to meet you.

Story
This is Lola. She is a 6 year old mixed breed, small-medium sized dog. She has been with our family since she was about 14 weeks old. She is house trained and crate trained, good with cats, kids and other dogs. She does not like when people mess with her crate, but other than that, she is a very relaxed dog. She really is a great dog and pet. She is spending entirely too much time in a crate, it's not fair for her. We are looking to rehome her to someone who will love her and give her the time and attention she deserves. Small rehoming fee is being asked to ensure she goes to a home that will take great care of her and her crate is included.
