Hello everyone. My name is Fiona and my foster mom saved me from a high kill shelter in Texas! I was listed as friendly with dogs, cats, and kids...however at my boarding facility the guy who takes care of me says I'm scared and can be dog selective....I played in the yard at the shelter with other dogs...it's believed the kennel environment is scary for me...a trainer will be evaluating me to verify this is the case before I leave and start decompressing in my fosters home...to help me realize its not too scary out there. My previous owner had kids and dogs and cats that i was good with. i have transportation arranged to come up to my foster mom in the Pittsburgh area...if you think I may be a good fit and addition to your family, I'd love to find my forever home...I've been through a lot being at the shelter, adopted, and then surrendered again.

Story
Hello! My name is Ponga, I was found and taken to a high kill shelter in Texas. My kennel mate George was adopted and I was put on the euthanasia list. My foster decided to pull me to try and find me a forever home. I was nervous at first at the shelter, especially by myself, but the shelter staff helped me warm up and I played well in the play yard with other dogs! I had fun with them and really enjoyed the affection from the handlers. The shelter thinks I am around 5 years old. I'm really looking for my forever family and my new foster mom says I'm pretty gorgeous to look at too with my beautiful black and white coat. I promise I'm a good girl I'll just need some time when we first meet.

Story
RONALD, a handsome devil dog was found on 250 before coming to our pound. We believe him to be an Aussie/Lab mix. RONALD is full of energy and spunk. He has a great personality--one that would probably label him as a class clown if he were a kid in school. He is very treat motivated and will obey for one. RONALD loves to run and play. His favorite toy is a ball and he will chase it longer than your arm will allow you to throw it for him and that's ok, because he will throw it up in the air and run after it. RONALD can be a little testy around other male dogs, but seems to do better with female dogs. He loves every person he meets. This boy is not a couch potato and would do best with an active family, especially since he is young (around a year). Harrison County Dog Pound, 82900 Toot Rd. Cadiz, OH 43907 Hours: M-F 10am-4pm/Sat. 9am-2pm/Closed Sundays and holidays. 740-942-4080. Story
MOLLY, a 2 year old black German Shepherd mix lost the only home she has ever known when she was surrendered to our pound by her family because she liked to bolt out of an open door. MOLLY is housebroken, spayed, and crate trained. She is timid around people she doesn't know and will give a low growl to let them know that she doesn't want to be forced to meet a new person. If you let her be and offer her a snack or two, she will warm up once she trusts you. MOLLY does like to follow people she trusts around. She is playful, loves to go for long walks, and cuddle with you on the couch. We think MOLLY will do best in a home without a lot of yelling. She needs a calm environment to be comfortable. MOLLY gets along with other dogs, should not be placed in a home with little kids (10 and up is fine), and doesn't like cats. Harrison County Dog Pound, 82900 Toot Rd. Cadiz, OH. Open: Monday-Friday 10am-4pm; Sat. 9am-2pm, Closed Sundays and holidays. Apply to adopt in person or online at harrisoncountydogvolunteers.org. Story
MUFFIN, an 8 and a half year old Chow Chow mix came to our pound when her mom and dad both passed away. MUFFIN spent her life in an outside kennel so she will need some housebreaking tips. MUFFIN is a little timid when she first meets people she doesn't know, but once she warms up, she is sweet and affectionate. She loves hot dogs and chicken nuggets so if you want to win her love quickly, ply her with her favorites and you'll have a friend for life. We don't know about her vetting history, but while she was being cared for by a neighbor, she was taken to the vet and she was put on preventatives. MUFFIN would do best in a quiet home since she has not met kids, cats or other dogs. At the pound, she will bark at other dogs and when they ignore her, she stops. She would love to be able to leave the noise and confusion of the pound and have her own quiet spot with a family. Harrison County Dog Pound, 82900 Toot Rd. Cadiz, OH 43907. Open M-F 10am-4pm; Sat 9am-2pm; closed Sundays and holidays. Out of state adoptions are welcome. Applications are available at the pound and online at harrisoncountdogpounvolunteers, org.
