Story
HOW YOU DOIN?Meet Rasputia, our 2-year-old, larger-than-life boxer mix who is not afraid to take up space — in your home or your heart. With her bold personality and love for the finer things in life (mainly snacks and attention), she’s the kind of dog you’ll never forget. This big girl has a soft spot for treats (no need to trim those table scraps, she’s not judging), and she’ll happily remind you when it’s snack time. But behind all that sass is a lovable, affectionate dog who just wants to be part of the family.Rasputia's ideal home would be somewhere with a sense of humor, plenty of love, and maybe a well-stocked snack drawer. She’ll do best with someone who embraces her big personality and is ready to give her the attention she adores. If you’re looking for a dog who brings the drama, the laughs, and the love all in one big package, Rasputia is ready to make herself right at home. 🐶✨Give us a call at (740) 314-5583 for more information!ADOPTION APPLICATION:All adoption applications are completed at the shelter unless otherwise noted.FOSTER APPLICATION:Want to be a hero for a homeless animal in need? Story
Meet Demi, a 7-year-old husky with a beautiful spirit and a heart ready for her next chapter. She has that classic husky charm — independent, expressive, and full of personality — but with a more mature, steady energy that comes with age. Demi has been at the shelter for about 7 weeks now, and unfortunately, nothing has stuck from her meet and greets.Demi enjoys companionship and does well with other dogs, especially those who match her more relaxed pace. She prefers low-energy playmates who won’t overwhelm her, as she’s happiest when things stay calm and easygoing. When it comes to cats, Demi can be a bit too much for them, so a cat-free home would be the best fit for her.Demi's Ideal Home:A home that appreciates a mature dog who still enjoys connection but doesn’t need constant chaos. A calm environment with compatible dog friends (or as your one-and-only) would suit her perfectly.Interested in Demi? Stop by the shelter and see her today or call for more information! 740-314-5583Give us a call at (740) 314-5583 for more information!ADOPTION APPLICATION:All adoption applications are completed at the shelter unless otherwise noted.FOSTER APPLICATION:Want to be a hero for a homeless animal in need? Story
Meet Julia, the brindle blur who somehow contains more energy than the entire shelter combined. At 7 months old, she has decided that sitting still is overrated and that every moment is meant for playing, bouncing, and demanding your full attention.Julia doesn’t just want affection — she wants all of it. Forever. She is a professional attention-seeker with zero shame and maximum enthusiasm. If you stop petting her, she will absolutely remind you that your hands have a job to do.She’s smart, treat-motivated, and in that perfect puppy stage where training will shape her into an incredible adult dog — but make no mistake, she will need structure, routine, and plenty of outlets for all that terrier energy.Due to Julia's reactivity, she was unfortunately adopted but brought back to the shelter. The children in the previous home were not a match for her energy. We recommend a home with children who understand the time, energy, and training Julia requires.Interested in adopting Julia? Story
Meet Layla!Through no fault of her own, Layla found herself at the shelter after being surrendered because of her habit of chewing…well…pretty much anything she could get her paws on. Shoes, toys, maybe a suspicious-looking pillow or two — Layla has definitely been known to redecorate! But here’s the thing about Layla: she’s so much more than that one little quirk. During her time at the shelter, she has shown everyone what a wonderful dog she truly is. Layla has been fantastic around other dogs and has even done well around cats, proving that she can be a great companion in a multi-pet household. She’s affectionate, friendly, and clearly just wants a place where she belongs.Like many dogs, Layla may simply need a little structure, plenty of appropriate toys, and some guidance to help channel her chewing into the right things. With patience, love, and maybe a good stash of durable chew toys, Layla has all the potential to thrive in a home again.Layla deserves a second chance — a family willing to see the sweet, loving dog behind the habit and give her the fresh start she’s been waiting for. If you’re looking for a loyal companion and are ready to help Layla write her next chapter, she’s ready to meet you. 💛🐶Give us a call at (740) 314-5583 for more information!ADOPTION APPLICATION:All adoption applications are completed at the shelter unless otherwise noted.FOSTER APPLICATION:Want to be a hero for a homeless animal in need?
