Story
Zuko was adopted in 2021 from an accidental litter near my home. He was born in August, and turns 5 this year. Zuko needs room to run, and people to cuddle him. He is a lover of a dog and enjoys being loved on. He loves toys, balls and bones. Zuko is high energy, but low maintenance. He is not suitable for an apartment, because he will bark when he needs to go out. Im looking for someone who is willing to play with him, take him to walk or have a fenced in yard/outside area he is able to run in. He gets along with our other dog, but unfortunately can be dog reactive with others. He has had no issues with the child in the home or children outside the home. He has always been an anxious dog but has never shown any signs of aggression due to it, he just runs away from things he doesnt like. He is caged trained, potty trained, and eats dry food. Zuko is behind on shots.

Story
Allow us to introduce you to LILLY, a 2 year old Shep mix who was abandoned on Willis Run Rd before coming to our pound. LILLY was in bad shape when she was found. Severely underweight, she required emergeny surgery to remove skin that had grown thru the buckle of a collar that was too tight. She has recovered and is now searching for a forever family. LILLY is in training with her sister LILLY at the Belmont Correctional Instution where she is learning basic obedience. Crate trained, housebroken, and fully vetted, she is good with other dogs. LILLY is shy around new people and situations, but with coaxing, she warms up quickly. She has a sweet personality and will be a great addition to your family. Harrison County Dog Pound. 82900 Toot Rd. Cadiz, OH 43950. Open: Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm; Saturday 9am-2pm; closed Sundays and holidays. Adoption applications are available at the pound or online at harrisoncountydogpoundvolunteers.org. Apple users must submit application using Google, not Safari. Story
Meet SPOT, the ultimate bundle of energy who's back at the Harrison County Dog Pound in Cadiz, OH, because his previous owners just couldn't keep up with this Aussie/Pittie loving party animal. SPOT's got more enthusiasm than a toddler on a sugar high and needs a home where his humans are into extreme hiking or jogging - or at the very least, have a large yard and a love for fetch. This little guy lives for toys, but let's be real, he's destroyed many a toy in his time. On the plus side, SPOT's housebroken, gets along swimmingly with other dogs and cats, and is fully vetted. Due to his 'bounce off the walls' personality, older kids only, please. With some training and patience, SPOT could be the perfect companion for an active family willing to take on the challenge. Story
MILLIE, a sweet 2-year-old Staffy/Pointer mix with an attitude and a penchant for being in charge of other female dogs was surrendered to our pound because she wants to be the dominant one in a home with other female dogs. She's looking for a home with older kids since she gets a bit too excited around little ones. She's cool with cats so if you have one or five, MILLIE won't mind. MILLIE loves walks, snuggles, and giving kisses. If you're looking for a partner in crime who'll keep you on your toes, she might just be the one because MILLIE loves to be with her people, no matter what they're up to. Story
Meet JELLY BEAN, a vibrant one-year-old Pittie mix who has just arrived at the Harrison County Dog Pound in Cadiz, OH. Despite some uncertainty about her past vet care, we're focusing on giving her the care she deserves. This loving companion thrives in households with other dogs and children, and while she's eager to meet new furry friends, she's yet to encounter a cat. Treats are her love language, and she'll do just about anything for a tasty reward. As a young pup, JELLY BEAN still gets mouthy with enthusiasm, snatching socks and other items she shouldn't. But with love and training, she'll grow into a loyal best friend. If you're ready to open your heart and home, please submit an adoption application . Note that JELLY BEAN gets along swimmingly with most, but her previous owners let her go due to her not getting along with pigs. Harrison County Dog Pound, 82900 Toot Rd. Cadiz, OH 43907.
