Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Rocky Road! This one-year-old pittie mix is as sweet as his name and always ready for his next adventure! Rocky loves heading out for walks where he can put his nose to work—especially when there are squirrels to investigate. &#239&#184&#143 He’s a friendly guy who enjoys meeting new people and makes fast friends wherever he goes. Rocky weighs about 40 lbs, making him the perfect medium-sized sidekick for hikes, road trips, and couch snuggles. He’s a big fan of car rides, games of fetch, and long naps after a good play session. When the fun is over, he’s more than happy to curl up and cuddle. He does well with respectful dogs and is crate trained (though he’s only been crated for short periods—about 3–4 hours on rare occasions). Rocky would do best in a home without cats or small children. He could also use a little polishing on his leash manners, but he’s a smart boy who will learn quickly! If you’re looking for a loyal adventure buddy who’s equal parts playful explorer and professional snuggler, Rocky Road might just be your perfect match. &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ Click here for the ADOPTION APPLICATION if you are interested in adopting this pet. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Mashed Tater — but everyone calls him TATER! Tater is a young Shiba Inu mix pup with a heart as big as his love for playtime. He came from an overcrowded household where he didn’t receive much one-on-one attention, so he can be a little shy when first meeting new people. Give him a little time, though, and his fun, affectionate personality comes shining through. This active, happy pup loves his toys and especially enjoys playing with the other dogs in his foster home. He’s doing very well with housetraining and is crate trained, making him a great candidate for a smooth transition into his forever home. Tater gets along wonderfully with other dogs in his foster home (cats are unknown), and he absolutely adores his foster brother Dexter, a small doxie. The two are inseparable, which is why Tater truly MUST HAVE a home with another friendly dog to help him feel secure and happy. After his neuter surgery, Tater showed off his best charm and earned a spot sleeping in bed with his foster mom — where he promptly snuggled in and went straight to sleep. It was a sweet glimpse of the loving companion he’s ready to be. Tater is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. He’s hoping the New Year brings him what he wants most of all — a permanent home filled with patience, play, and a canine buddy to call family. Could Tater be the missing piece to your pack? &#226&#156&#168Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ Click here for the ADOPTION APPLICATION if you are interested in adopting this pet. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Spirit – A Gentle Little Soul Looking for Her Person Spirit is a 14-pound Jack Russell/Poodle mix standing about 15 inches at the shoulder, with the sweetest heart just waiting to fully bloom in the right home. Spirit can be a bit nervous and wary at first. She doesn’t do well with loud or harsh voices, and she needs a patient, gentle person who will give her the time and space to feel safe. But once you earn her trust? She transforms into a happy, tail-wagging little shadow who will follow you from room to room, politely asking for belly rubs.  Once she is more comfortable she likes head and ear massages.  She loves her walks and especially enjoys sniffing adventures. Spirit does well on a leash and rides nicely in the car in her car seat, making her a wonderful little travel buddy. At home, she coexists nicely with cats. If they dash through the house, she may happily join the fun! Her favorite nap spot is curled up in the cats’ donut beds, as cozy as can be. She is crate trained and settles well in her own safe space. Spirit is very food motivated, which makes training easier, but she should not be free fed — she’ll happily sample the cat’s food if given the opportunity! Though she lived with other dogs and has been socialized, she may growl if they invade her personal space until she feels comfortable. Slow, respectful introductions are key. Spirit would thrive in a calm, patient home that understands shy dogs and will celebrate the beautiful bond that comes from earning her trust. In return, she’ll give you loyalty, companionship, and the sweetest little tail wags you’ve ever seen. She is up to date with vaccines, spayed, and on monthly flea/tick/heartworm preventatives.  Lovingly fostered in the Bloomsburg Area.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ Click here for the ADOPTION APPLICATION if you are interested in adopting this pet. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Virgil — The Gentle Giant with a Heart as Big as His Ears! At just 18 months old, Virgil the Treeing Walker Coonhound is already one incredibly handsome guy. With his soft, soulful brown eyes and easygoing personality, he has a way of winning hearts wherever he goes. Virgil came to Haven to Home as an emergency intake, suffering from painful, festering porcupine quills in his head and mouth. Thanks to dedicated veterinary care and lots of love, he’s healed beautifully. Along the way, our sweet boy was also diagnosed with heartworm—but he bravely completed his full six-month treatment and is now happy, healthy, and ready for his next chapter. Virgil is a true hound at heart. He loves to RUN, explore, and would certainly enjoy the chance to tree a few coons if given the opportunity—after all, it’s what he was bred to do! That said, he’s just as content soaking up the quiet life. He enjoys lounging, watching TV, and snuggling up in bed with his person. He is housetrained, non-destructive, and can be crated if needed. However, Virgil forms strong bonds with his people and doesn’t love being left alone—he can become quite sorrowful when separated. His foster shares that Virgil woke him on three occasions when the foster's blood sugar dropped abnormally low, as if he knew something wasn’t right.Because of his VOICE, he may not be a good match for someone who lives in a highly populated development. Despite everything he’s been through, Virgil remains the gentlest of giants. He loves everyone he meets, including other dogs, and would likely enjoy having a canine companion. His favorite pastime? Stretching out in the warm spring sun while keeping an eye out for squirrels—he’s quite the enthusiast! Virgil is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and ready to find his forever home. While he may make a wonderful companion for someone who appreciates a good hound, Virgil wants it clearly understood—life outside in a kennel is not for him. This handsome boy is ready to be treated like the prince he truly is. ❤️ Virgil—and all of us at Haven to Home—are so grateful for your support!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ Click here for the ADOPTION APPLICATION if you are interested in adopting this pet. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Available for Adoption on April 27, 2026Meet Alex – your future little shadow with a heart of gold.... Alex is a 4-year-old Coton de Tulear mix who is just beginning to discover how wonderful life can be outside of a breeding facility. This gentle boy may be a bit shy when meeting new people, but give him a little time and you’ll see his incredibly sweet and loving personality shine through. What really helps Alex feel confident? Other dogs! He absolutely loves his canine friends and will need a home with at least one friendly, well-adjusted dog to help show him the ropes and reassure him that the world isn’t such a scary place after all. The good news—he also gets along great with cats! Alex is doing a great job learning the basics of home life. He’s working on house training, is excellent in his crate, and already knows how to use a doggie door—what a smart boy! With patience, consistency, and love, he’ll continue to blossom more each day. He’s up to date on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention, and will be fully vaccinated and neutered prior to adoption. Alex is looking for a calm, patient home where he can continue to grow in confidence, surrounded by kindness (and a furry friend or two). If you’re ready to help this sweet boy write his next chapter, Alex is ready to meet you Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ Click here for the ADOPTION APPLICATION if you are interested in adopting this pet.
