She was incredibly sweet, loving, and hyperactive. While she seemed to enjoy the company of the other dogs at the rescue, we decided to bring her to FIDOS for more socialization. We believe that when Alice was roaming the streets, her nickname was the Parkour Queen. She leaps into your arms and heart with such enthusiasm. She craves love and affection. Once she finds her forever home, she becomes utterly devoted and will never settle for anything less. She loves to run and enjoys diving into the snow. She can be spicy at times. Sometimes when unfamiliar people approach she will growl. She does well with other dogs (submissive dogs are best). No kids under 12. She would do well in a quiet home with a stay-at-home mom/dad. She is house-trained and crate-trained. Arlo is a two-year-old Australian Shepherd with a heart full of love and energy to match. He’s incredibly smart, eager to learn, and thrives when he has a job to do or a big space to run. This boy was made for adventure, and he needs an experienced owner who understands the energy and excitement that comes with this amazing breed. Arlo is potty trained and crate trained, making him a wonderful companion inside the home. With proper leadership and structure, he will absolutely shine. While he’s not currently good around young children, with consistent training and a confident handler, there’s potential for improvement over time. Unfortunately, with a new baby at home and not enough space for him to run freely, we’ve started to notice some behavior issues due to his high energy not being fully met. It absolutely breaks my heart, but keeping him in a situation that doesn’t allow him to thrive would be selfish.
