Story
Meet Joe the DIY Labrador Project™Did you want a Labrador Retriever but also wanted a little extra *mystery* and personality? Good news. This handsome man appears to have been assembled from approximately 73% Lab, 12% snack enthusiast, and 15% “whatever was left in the spare parts bin.”At 79 pounds, he’s basically a Costco-sized best friend. He’s lovable, friendly, and believes every human he meets might secretly have snacks in their pockets. His standards are also refreshingly low — fancy gourmet treats? Cool. Organic salmon bites? Sure. A plain ol’ Milkbone that’s been sitting in the bottom of the treat jar since 2022? ABSOLUTELY. He is a humble king. He’s got the soulful eyes, the happy grin, and the personality of a dog who would gladly accompany you on adventures… as long as there are snack breaks involved. If you’re looking for a sweet, goofy, oversized good boy who will love you with his whole heart and stare at you like you personally invented treats, this DIY Labrador Project is ready to go home. Give us a call to come and meet him - 817-561-5495 or check our Facebook page to see which event will we be attending this weekend! https://www.facebook.com/MuncipalAnimalServicesTXJoe was adopted this past weekend, but due to unexpected allergies, the adopter had to bring him back. Here is what he had to say about Joe: I’d like to leave a comment as I’m the adopter who had to return Joe. It’s definitely something I didn’t want to do but unfortunstely allergies just were unbearable and something I didn’t foreseeJoe is the best boy that you can have. He slept through the night without making a noise. Yes he is crate trained. He would knock on our back door any time that he had to use the restroom. He did not have a single accident in the home and seemed to be house trained at least some. He was catching on very quickly to anything my wife and I were trying to teach him. He is so sweet and surprisingly calm. He loves to follow you around the house and keep you company.I pray that Joe can find a good home. He truly truly deserves it. I cannot stress how good of a dog this is
