Story
2 year old Jackson is looking for his forever people! Jackson is the cutest little floofball there is! Despite being deaf, Jackson is incredibly smart and it doesn’t slow him down. He’s picking up hand signs and learning from watching his big foster siblings, who he gets along with great! Jackson was diagnosed with Megaesophagus and needs a family that can support him so that he can live out his best life ever! What is Megaesophagus and how is it treated? Megaesophagus is a disorder in which the esophagus dilates and loses its ability to move food to the stomach. This causes the food to accumulate in the esophagus and can lead to regurgitation. Overall treatment involves managing the symptoms to help the food go down to digest. Jackson will need to be fed ALL his meals in a Bailey Chair (second photo) which gets him in an upright position about 45-90 degrees to the floor and will need to remain in the chair for at least 15 minutes after feeding. He already is great at getting in his chair and staying in it to eat! If you feel like you are the perfect fit for Jackson and ready to give him all the support he needs in return for cute cuddles, loads of fun, and cuteness in his very own high chair then visit https://texashuskyrescue.org/apply-to-adopt/ November 3, 2024, 1:08 am

I'm as sweet as a sugar-coated doughnut, friendly like your favorite barista, and playful as a puppy... okay, maybe not that playful, I'm an adult after all! My journey to the shelter is a tale worth telling. I was living the high life, chasing squirrels and enjoying belly rubs, when I mistook the mailman's bag for a giant chew toy. Whoops! The bag was tougher than I thought, and the mailman was surprisingly agile. Long story short, here I am! But hey, everyone makes mistakes, right? And who wouldn't want a dog who's excellent at guarding their mail? Adopt me, and you'll never lose a letter again!May 25, 2025, 3:05 pm

Story
Abby is around 6 months old and has already had a rough start to her life! She was surrendered after being hit by a car - fortunately it just grazed her head and she's recovered nicely with no lasting damage! We are still learning about her, but we do know that she loves other dogs, is doing well with house and crate training, and walks great on a leash. Abby is a total doll and would love a forever home! House/Crate training in progress Great with other dogs!
