Story
Tanner is a happy, goofy, affectionate, and athletic boy. He is so smart and knows all the basic commands: sit, stay/wait, down, leave it, find it. He is currently working on "relax" and "no bark". Tanner enjoys playing fetch and going for walks & runs. Tanner is nervous around new people and will need time and patience from his adopters. We are looking for a foster-to-adopt situation with no other animals or children where he can grow into his new home. He will need to continue his professional training and visits with his behavior specialist vet. A home with a backyard is a must. An adopter with experience with dogs, preferably large dogs, and with reactive or fearful personalities/behaviors would help Tanner transition best. He warms up to women much faster so a female adopter would be great. Tanner is a special boy with lots of love to give if you put in the time and have patience. Contact us today to meet Tanner!

Story
Do you like a loyal friend who enjoys cuddles? My name is Thor and I’m a handsome boy. My favorite activities are to run, jump, and snuggle. I’m looking for an energetic human who is ready for an adventure. Good news is, my current humans have been training with me for two years and I have attended behavioral school to enhance my training. I am an intelligent, affectionate dog. I am kennel trained. Normally when my humans go to work or out on the town they leave me toys - brainteasers - to exhaust me. I have anxiety when they leave the house. With that said, the toys enable me to focus on being happy and occupied. I am good with other children and adults. If you like taking short and/or long walks, I would be great company.

Story
Serenity has been without a home for over four years! We came across her in June of 2019 at a local boarding facility.  We were told that she was abandoned there by another rescue over two years prior.  We had no foster for her, but we could not let this sweet girl live in a crate in the back room any longer and we moved her to a wonderful boarding facility where she was able to get exercise and socializing.  She stayed in boarding for an entire year before finding a foster. Since her rescue, Serenity has made great change.  She was extremely overweight and heartworm positive when we got her.  She is now healthy and heartworm negative.  She has come a long way with alot of training and love. Serenity does have some separation anxiety but she has gotten much better.  She would do best in a home with her human(s) home more often than not.  She would prefer to be an only dog, but she has made friends with dogs with similar, chill personalities.  She is NOT good with any small pets/animals.  She needs a strong handler who will continue to work with her on all that she has learned, and be mindful of surroundings when on walks. She loves car rides, kisses and naps.  She is much like a big cat.  She snores, she sleeps with her tongue hanging out and she will sploot (frog pose) right in your walking path and look at you like you're supposed to go around her, but she is the sweetest, loyal and most deserving pup of an amazing family.   If you're interested in meeting or finding out more about Serenity, please reach out.  You can fill out an application for adoption on our website. www.MarleighsFriends.org If you're interested in meeting this baby, please reach out or submit an application on our website. Please be sure to include your phone number on inquiries and check your spam folder for email responses! **Application and adoption fee apply** Pet adoption fees are $100-$150 for cats and $150-$400 for dogs (plus 8.25% required state tax), which includes; spay/neuter, all shots, deworming, and microchip.  All pets are current on heartworm/flea/tick prevention.    ##437666##
