Story

She is a sweet, loyal companion who is wonderful with people, but she is struggling with resource guarding that has led to conflicts with our other dog. Because she has never shown aggression toward humans but has attacked our other dog, we believe she would thrive as an only pet. We want to ensure she finds a home where she can be the center of attention without the stress of competing for resources. We rescued her in July of 2020 when she was around 6 weeks old. She guards items (food/bones/something in the yard) from other animals. She will attack and bite our other dog, it’s happening more frequently, and causing injury and stress for our other dog. We’ve been struggling this for the last 3+ years. Recently, she will growl if one of our children or other animals walk near her crate while while she’s eating. Our concern is our toddler or a human would be in the wrong place at the wrong time and get bit as well. She needs a home with no other dogs or cats and probably no children.

Meet Kaia, a very sweet, loving, and energetic pup. Her exact age is not known, but she is between 6 months and a year. She is a high drive, high energy breed, so we’re looking for someone or a family who has the time and capacity to properly exercise her and stimulate her mentally. I’ve been working with her on basic training: recall, crate work, etc, and she has quickly caught on and is good to work with. She is very friendly and absolutely adores people and other dogs, we regularly take her to the dog park. We love her very much and she’s a very good girl, just sadly don’t have the capacity to care for her anymore, as we have a baby on the way.

Meet Yuca! She’s a sweet, affectionate girl who is ALWAYS happy to see you and ready to spend time together. Our veterinarian estimates she’s between 3-5 years old. Since we have had her, she has loved every person she’s met and has been good with older kids.Yuca loves her toys and a good game of tug, but she’s just as happy snuggled beside you on the couch. She enjoys playing, spending time with her people, and settling in for a good night’s sleep. She also does great in the car on trips, making her a wonderful travel buddy! She is leash and potty trained, isn’t destructive when left alone, and knows sit, stay, lay down, and give paw.Although she is friendly with dogs she’s met on walks, in the home she resource guards (only seen with other dogs) and needs to be the only pet. Yuca has so much love to give and is looking for a family who will cherish her as their one and only. We are willing to travel to help her find the right forever home!
