Story
Dexter is 4 years old. He needs to be rehomed with Twix (also in the picture, 5 year old Goldendoodle) they are a bonded pair. Dexter gets severe anxiety when he is away from Twix. He is crate trained. He will only go to the bathroom in the house if left out and not in his crate when nobody is home. He’s a lazy dog, but very laid back. Loves to have his belly rubbed. Both my dogs just need more attention and freedom the what they currently have as our lives have changed recently. He is more on the golden retriever side.

Story
Colt was found abandoned as a puppy with his 2 siblings. He is a wonderful companion that loves walks and being a gigantic lapdog. He's fine around our cat (his only interaction with cats so far) and is always playful with other dogs. He's my buddy, which is why he needs a home. Someone who can take better care of him than I can now. He has pannus that requires eye drops for the rest of his life, which isn't a huge deal. He'll need surgery to remove two growths, which they belive are just fatty deposits. I'm trying to pull funds together to cover this.

Hardy, VA
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Not good with kids, Good with dogs, Not good with cats,
Story
Daisy is Dukes sister. She is very hyper and requires someone that understands this. She has the jack russel traits. She was adopted as a puppy and lives outside in her dog lot with her brother Duke. They are not allowed to run free due to neighborhood. I feel she will do best along with Duke on a farm where they can shine and be the dogs they were meant to be. She may have trust issues at first because this is the only home she has ever known. Once she has your trust she will be your best friend forever. I would prefer he and Duke go together. The reason for giving them up is because my husband passed away and I we have to have surgery in May and am unable financially and healthwise to care for them.

Story
Someone give this girl a chance. That's all she needs ... a legitimate chance. Ovira (pronounced 'Oh-Veer-uh') has a cute personality once she relaxes. She is playful with dogs and has shown some play with her trusted staff members as well. She grew up with minimal human interaction, in a basement with over a dozen other neglected dogs and cats. Because of this, her animal-animal social skills developed wonderfully; However, this left her with a deficit when it comes to human interaction. She is nervous around people (which makes the shelter particularly scary) but she has NEVER snapped at a human despite her nerves (not even when receiving her intake vet work). Much like a cat, she will hide or avoid when there's company because 'three is a crowd'. HER PERFECT HOME would be ... - very patient, as she will take some time to trust - only host occasional visitors, as her nervousness increases as the head count does - one or more dog in the home, cats would be fine as well. - able to keep her on a leash and/or containedMarch 23, 2024, 12:21 am
