Story

Hi, I am Luna. I am around 1.5 to 2 years old. I was working on a goat and cow farm and my dad got divorced and they were made to sell the farm and he found some nice people to take me in until I find my forever home. I am spayed and vaccinated and chipped. When I lived on the farm I was happy working the livestock and well trained with commands to follow herding directions. Where I live now I am board, since I have nothing to do. I have to live indoors and only get to go in the back yard with supervision, due to the landlord’s rental guidelines. I live with three other dogs, who don’t always want to be herded. My boredom has led to some destructive behaviors such as chewing on items that are not chew toys, so unfortunately I end up having to stay in my training crate. I really need a place to run and roam, or at least have long walks – I could even run with you when you exercise. I am looking forward to gaining employment, so I can use my skills to help my forever family.

Murray is a super sweet, affectionate, fun, amazingly smart companion. He loves loves loves playing fetch, and has a blast with his toys. He is 3 years old, is trained on an e-collar and is a very fast learner. 2 free lessons from Off Leash K9 are available to whomever can give Murray a good home. (https://nrvandroanokedogtrainer.com/) Unfortunately, Murray has shown a bit of reactivity towards other animals, so cannot be in a house with other pets, and would do best with older children (7-8 years old). It is also probably best if he is with an experienced dog owner. We're incredibly sad to be rehoming Murray, but we're expecting our first child and can't take the risk. We hope he can find a home that will love him as much as we do.

Meet Marcie, a sweet Boxer/Lab mix who has the softest coat you will ever feel. Marcie's a well-mannered, affectionate girl, looking for a warm lap, gentle pets, and daily walks. Marcie had a rough start in life--when she was a puppy, a car hit her, breaking both of her legs. The nice vets fixed her right up (you'd never know her legs had been damaged!), and she's been in a warm, loving family ever since. Due to some changes in circumstances, she's now seeking another family to join. Marcie is about 4 years old and weighs 65 pounds. She has the cutest blonde eye lashes and warm, liquid brown eyes. She's friendly, and loves to go on car rides and meet new people, and especially loves to go shopping at Lowe's. She just a big mush! What a joyful, gentle boy is our Zeus. Oh, and cute too-what can we say about his puppy-like legginess? Zeus is about a year old and he's had kind of a rough time up till now. He was living in neglect, and given to another home. That caregiver just had too many animals to care for and she surrendered him to us. He came to us a bit underweight, at about 28 pound, but has now filled out to a healthy to 47 pounds. He is about a year old. He's gentle, playful, and affectionate. Favorite activities include playing fetch, taking car rides, and napping with his canine and feline foster brother and sisters.
