Story
Max was rescued at 1-1/2 (now 7years old). His owners were elderly and lived in a motor home. They could no longer take care of him. He was adopted by my daughter and 12 year old grandson. They also have a shiatsu and a Lhasa apso mix. Max fit right into the family. My daughter lost her home and she and her now 19-year-old son moved in with me (her mother). This was a temporary solution. The three dogs were included in this move. My daughter now has new housing which allows only 2 dogs and no large dogs. My grandson has moved in with friends and cannot bring Max. I promised to keep him until we found a good home for him. Max is a good dog and responds to some directions. He appears to be a very smart dog and is friendly once he becomes comfortable with strangers. This usually takes 10 minutes if you don't expect too much of him. He has never bitten any one while in our care. He is very protective and lets people know it with a growl. He needs someone who is active.

Story
My name is Duke, and I am a 5‑year‑old German Shepherd with a big heart, a sharp mind, and a very waggy tail. At my age, I am a calm, mature dog who still loves to play and explore, but I’m past the wild puppy stage and ready to focus on being someone’s loyal best friend. I am intelligent, confident, and steady, and that’s exactly how I behave, even when things around me are noisy or new. I listen carefully when humans talk, tilting my head, because I understand more than most people think and I want to do the right thing for them. I’m protective but gentle, the kind of dog who will bark to let you know someone is at the door, then relax when you tell me it’s okay. Because my breed is so trainable and eager to learn, I pick up new commands quickly and enjoy using my brain as much as my paws. I would love a family who understands that German Shepherds need both exercise and mental challenges, like learning tricks, sniffing games, or simple jobs around the house.

Story
Riley loves car rides and going for walks. She is 1 1/2 year old. She loves attention and is great with people. She does have a little bit of hyper at first but then calms down. She loves her toys and treats. If u want her cage it’s 50 dollars. I just want a good home for her. Riley knows some demands like sit, lay down, walk , be gentle and shake with both hands. She’s great with kids and other dogs. She is fully potty trained and will sleep with u if u let her. She will bark if she hears something. I’m only finding her a new home because me and my husband works to much and I feel bad for her because she needs more attention than I can give.

💘🐾 Love Is in the Air — Meet Aurora! 🐾💘 Aurora is hoping to find her perfect match. 💕 She’s a beautiful 4-year-old German Shepherd who is back with the rescue and ready to find her forever love. Aurora’s story hasn’t been easy, but her heart is still full. After being left behind when her previous owner moved, she remained loyal, loving, and resilient. Now she’s ready for a fresh start with someone who will choose her forever. 💖 Why Aurora Will Steal Your Heart: • Sweet, affectionate, and full of personality • Loves to “talk,” play with squeaky toys, and cuddle up close • Leash-trained and fully potty-trained • Does well with kids 🐾 Aurora can live with other dogs and cats, but she will need slow, proper introductions, to help her feel comfortable and confident. Aurora thrives in a calm, loving home where her person is around often. She can be a little anxious at times, so she’s looking for a patient, kind human who will give her the reassurance she deserves and in return, she’ll give you endless devotion. If you’re ready for a loyal Valentine who will love you unconditionally every day of the year, Aurora is waiting. 💞🐕 👉 Apply to adopt: https://www.underdogrescueranch.com/adopt

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Ludwig is recently back with Last Day Dog Rescue after 8 years due to no fault of his own and is still settling into his new surroundings, but we've already learned a few things about him. Ludwig is a dog who loves the company of adults and would thrive in a calm, quiet environment. He's not a fan of young children and would be happiest as the only canine companion in the home. Ludwig has a lot of love to give to the right person and he’s very well behaved. He's looking for an experienced dog owner who will understand his needs and is willing to provide him with patience, and a safe, predictable routine. A fenced yard would be a bonus, allowing him to explore safely.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the animals shoulder blades and are a permanent form of identification. If the animal is ever lost and slips his/her collar/tags the microchip allows the finder to know who to contact if scanned for a microchip. Animals MUST still have a collar with tags on at all times. Per our contract, we take all our animals back if for any reason you can't keep your adopted animal. Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster home's evaluation of the animal. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc., it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed. The Petfinder.com system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our animals. Visual breed identification in animals is unreliable so for most of the animals we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each animal as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our animals based on personality, not by breed label. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. &#226&#128&#139Loki is looking for a special home! When he is around people he knows and trusts, he is extremely sweet and well behaved. He builds strong bonds and loves to snuggle up and play. He consistently proves the idiom about old dogs wrong as even at 9 years old he is great at learning new tricks. He even seems to understand English and knows phrases like “go get your toy” and “can I have it”! He is very well behaved in the house and has free roam while alone — he never has any accidents or gets into things he isn’t supposed to. He is also crate trained and sleeps in his crate every night. Despite being a senior shepherd, Loki still LOVES to play. His favorite pastime is playing fetch and he would play for hours if it was up to him. He’s very good at fetch, too, and will keep searching until he finds his toy and then bring it right back. However, since he is a senior, Loki has bad arthritis that causes him a lot of pain. He doesn’t let it slow him down, but takes pain meds and joint supplements to keep him comfortable. He is also prone to slipping on hard floors, and would benefit from a house with a few rugs. While Loki is a great dog with people he is familiar with, he has a lot of anxiety around meeting strangers and will require very slow introductions to new people. If someone he doesn’t know were to approach him or try to pet him, he will growl to warn them away. Because of this, he will need an adopter who is not only willing to give him the time and space he needs to adjust to them, but also to anyone new he may meet in the future. In order to best set him up for success, we are including a training package for him and his new adopters so they can continue working with him to be the best he can be. He may take a little extra time, but once he trusts someone, he shows them that he is an incredible dog with a lot to offer anyone willing to meet him at his level.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Last Day Dog Rescue now microchips all animals before adoption.
