Story
These babies lived in an outdoor kennel before coming into rescue.  They were under socialized and had significant coat related matts and staining. They are great with dogs and had children that would play with them in their original home. The ideal home would have a dog, fence and lots of loving patience.    If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting this baby, please fill out an application. They currently are fixed, up to date on shots, wormings, preventatives and are microchipped (with lifetime registration). Adoption fee is $215 with approved application, applications can be filled out at this link. https://www.petstablished.com/adoption_form/10167/generic .We cannot guarantee breed or size when full grown. ##2663088##

Story
Meet Bunny! This beautiful 2-year-old female Husky is looking for her forever home. She’s up to date on all vaccinations, fixed, microchipped, and has tested negative for heartworm. She does well with other dogs, though her behavior around cats and kids is unknown. She enjoys going for walks and spending time outdoors with her people, making her a great match for an active home. She can be a bit shy at first, but once she warms up, she becomes a loyal and loving companion. Like many Huskies, she has a curious and adventurous side and will need a secure yard, as she may dig if left alone. With a little patience and the right environment, she’ll make an amazing best friend.   Stray Haven in an effort to help with the overcapacity of one of their partnering rescues, is crossposting the adoptable pets. Ripley County Humane Society is a beautiful non kill campus, comprised of three buildings on 13 sprawling acres in Osgood Indiana. Due to the remote location, they don't show up in the searches commonly made by adopters because they are just outside for the 30 mile radius of Cincinnati OH, Indianapolis IN and Louisville KY. Please take a look at these beautiful babies and fill out an application at the link below OR drop by their physical location which is open every single day from 12-330 for visitors.   If you would like to meet any of our pets, they are available for viewing, every single day from noon until 3:30pm. If you have other dogs a meet and greet is required. Calling before a long drive is recommended to confirm availability. Story
Quill is a classic Husky heartthrob with plenty to say and absolutely no shame about it. This stunning guy brings the full Husky package: goofy commentary, playful energy, dramatic flair, and a love for chase games that keeps life entertaining. He’s affectionate and friendly but also proudly independent, with just a tiny sprinkle of bossiness now and then—hey, someone has to supervise the fun. Quill does well in a crate, walks pretty nicely on leash, and would love a human who’s ready for adventures, laughs, and maybe a few Husky singalongs along the way. All adoptable pets are spayed/neutered (or scheduled), vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to go home today! No pre-application or appointment needed—just bring a valid ID and walk in. Our adoption fees are among the lowest in Cincinnati! To meet our animals, visit our Northside shelters any day from 1–6pm. If listed as foster, email foster@cincycare.org to schedule a meet and greet. Adopting an adult dog with resident dogs or kids at home? Bring them along to ensure it’s a perfect match. About Us: Cincinnati Animal CARE proudly serves Hamilton County’s humane society needs, dog warden, and animal control services. We help keep people and pets together and connect strays with future families.

Story
Meet Avi! He is the true meaning of rescue. Avi used to live with an abusive owner, until we changed his path! He has come so far, and has been clicker trained, but is still healing and will need a patient adopter who is willing to continue his training. He is about 10 years old and weighs around 55 lbs. He loves everyone he meets, but is not good with children or cats, and doesn't understand why they move so fast. He is slow to trust, but very playful and affectionate once he knows he is safe. Avi will jump a fence that is smaller than 6 ft tall, and will need long daily walks. He currently lives with and loves his boxer bulldog mix foster brother, but knows he is the pretty one! A home with another playful husky or other dog similar in size would be ideal! HUSKY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. CANNOT BE PLACED WITH CHILDREN OR CATS. If you want to be a part of Avi's recovery and future, and are willing to invest in long term training, apply for him today! His adoption fee is $25. https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/LOUC/Dog All of our animals come spayed or neutered, fully up to date on vaccinations, including rabies (if age appropriate) and Bordetella, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Meet Nataliyah. Nataliyah is a beautiful 5-month-old, 45-pound female Goberian (Golden Retriever/Siberian Husky) puppy. Nataliyah came in from a puppy mill two weeks ago shy and scared. In just a couple of weeks, she has blossomed into a sweet and affectionate pup who no longer seems to be fearful. She enjoys playing with toys, exploring the yard, playing with her foster siblings, and following her foster mom everywhere. Nataliyah has a black, gray and white coat with beautiful markings on her face. She is eager to please and follows directives well, (as long as she can control her excitement). She is 45 pounds now, but will be a large dog once full grown. She is fostered with a one-year-old mama dog and her three puppies, who she loves playing with. She is medium-to-high energy now and will probably remain the same into adulthood. Despite her breed, Nataliyah has rarely barked while in foster care. She occasionally whines. She is making great strides with her potty training for only two weeks in a home. She is an excellent car rider. Nataliyah is pretty good on a leash for it being her first experience with it. She zig-zags a lot, but ultimately still moves forward. Like all puppies, Nataliyah will need to be taught boundaries. For these types of breeds, it is also crucial that they get exercise daily beyond just playing in the back yard, (such as long walks, runs, hiking or dog parks). She would do best with a fenced-in yard. Nataliyah is a very sweet and affectionate puppy with lots of love to give, (not to mention she’s gorgeous). After starting her short little life confined in a puppy mill, she is just looking for the “good life” as a cherished family pet. If you believe that you have the right home to give Nataliyah the love and commitment she deserves, please apply today. She would be a wonderful addition to your family. Nataliyah is fostered in the Cincinnati area. Her adoption fee is $300.00.
