Story
Kody is a male husky, age 3.5 to 4 yrs, 55 to 60 pounds. sable and white in color with blue eyes. He is up to date on shots. I've rescued him off the street in 2022, trying to find owner. 4 months in decided to keep him as my owen. Since then I've dovorce, went back to full time with overtime work. I've tried other means of rehome. Kody has anxity when left along, so he does scratches at doors, window, barks continuously, sometimes pees ,poops. Created him a he still barks, pees. I have no fenced in yard so this is not an option. Kody loves to cuddle, go on walks. I'm 61 yrs. Old and he has a lot more energy than I can do. Needs an energetic person with patience. If you have the time to train Kody he has great potential. Well, hope I've given enough info. to help this sweet furbaby get into a new happy forever home!

Story
Max was very underweight when he came into rescue and he was heartworm positive. He has been treated for heartworm but will need to be kept on heartworm prevention religiously moving forward. He enjoys other dogs and absolutely loves every person that he meets. He is completely crate trained. While we always want a home that can meet a dog's exercise requirements, Max doesn't have a high energy level and should be content with most families. Huskies in general can be escape artists and we recommend a secure fence or someone dedicated to leash walking. We don't recommend Max go into a home with an alpha male dog, he does great with females and submissive male dogs!   If you are interested in meeting and/or adopting this baby, please fill out an application. Story
Meet Avi! He is the true meaning of rescue. Avi used to live with an abusive owner, until we changed his path! He has come so far, and has been clicker trained, but is still healing and will need a patient adopter who is willing to continue his training. He is about 9 years old and weighs around 55 lbs. He loves everyone he meets, but is not good with children or cats, and doesn't understand why they move so fast. He is slow to trust, but very playful and affectionate once he knows he is safe. Avi will jump a fence that is smaller than 6 ft tall, and will need long daily walks. He currently lives with and loves his boxer bulldog mix foster brother, but knows he is the pretty one! A home with another playful husky or other dog similar in size would be ideal! HUSKY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. CANNOT BE PLACED WITH CHILDREN OR CATS. If you want to be a part of Avi's recovery and future, and are willing to invest in long term training, apply for him today! His adoption fee is $25. https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/LOUC/Dog All of our animals come spayed or neutered, fully up to date on vaccinations, including rabies (if age appropriate) and Bordetella, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
Meet Polly, the adorable 3.5-month-old Pomsky with a heart as big as her fluffy fur! At just 8 pounds, this little bundle of joy is ready to wiggle her way into your life and steal your heart. Polly is the epitome of a typical puppy: playful, curious, and oh-so-smart! (She learned the command "sit" on day 2 of being in a foster home.) With her BEAUTIFUL bright eyes and perky ears, she's always ready for an adventure, whether it's exploring the great outdoors or snuggling up for a cozy nap. Polly is a quick learner and is eager to please, making her a breeze to train and a joy to be around. She is doing great with her potty training but will need a patient adopter willing to complete her potty training with her. Despite her small size, Polly has a big personality. She's full of energy and loves to play, but she also knows when it's time to settle down and cuddle. Whether she's chasing after her favorite toy or curling up in your lap for some well-deserved pets, Polly is sure to bring endless smiles and laughter to your home. If you're looking for a furry companion who's as sweet as she is smart, look no further than Polly! With her boundless energy and unwavering loyalty, she's sure to make the perfect addition to any loving family. Polly is most definitely HIGH energy!! A fenced yard or lots of walks are a must. She is the typical Husky in looks and personality, so an adopter who has Husky experience or has done their research would be ideal. Polly is being fostered in the Cincinnati area. Her adoption fee is $450.00.
