Hi… I’m Max.I’m a gentle-hearted guy who’s still learning that the world isn’t as scary as it sometimes feels. I’m the kind of dog who watches first, thinks second, and maybe comes over third—especially in new places. I try my best, but new faces, new rooms, and new routines take me a little time to understand.When I’m nervous, I might hesitate, step back, or hide for a moment… but if you speak softly and give me space, I start to melt. Once I know you’re safe, I’ll slowly lean in, sit by your side, and even nudge my head under your arm to ask for more affection. I may look unsure on the outside, but inside I’m hoping for someone kind and patient who sees the sweet dog trying his best.I’m still working on feeling confident out in the world—sometimes I pull or get a little panicked on walks—but I listen well and redirect easily. I’ve met calm dogs and gentle people and done just fine once I’ve had a moment to settle. I warm up to men too, I just need them to go slow and let me approach on my terms.What I want most is a quiet, understanding home where I can decompress, take things one step at a time, and bond at my own pace. Give me patience, reassurance, and a little time, and I’ll give you all the love I’ve been holding onto. I really do want to trust—I just need the right person to help me get there.

I’m a 5-year-old Lab boy with a big heart, a big smile, and a whole lot of love to give. Life has been a little confusing lately—I came to the shelter after my owner couldn`t care for me anymore, but I know he loved me so so much and told me `Vegas, you`re a good boy and deserve a good life. I want to give you that chance, even if things might be confusing at first`. And so I ended up here, a bit out of sorts, but feeling better as I get to spend more time with people. I used to live with another senior dog named Charlie. He was a bit stressed here without me around, so the humans felt it best to keep us together. I know it`s harder for people to consider adopting 2 larger dogs, but we will keep each other busy and it will be double the love in your home!! What`s better than that?? I love people. Like… a lot. I’m the kind of dog who will lean into you, melt into cuddles, and stay there for hours if you let me. When I’m excited (which is often), I might jump up or get a little mouthy—but I’m just trying to say hi! Being alone can make me worried, and sometimes I chew things to help myself feel better. But I can settle after a while—I think I just don`t want to be alone for the whole entire day you know? I`m an active dog and need lots of adventure and fun! The shelter has me doing a lot of marking (oops). I’m not neutered yet and everything here smells different, so I just need some patience and a refresher on house-training. What I’m really hoping for is someone who’s home more often, someone active who wants a fun, adventurous Lab to join them on life’s outings. If you want a loyal friend who will cuddle, play, and love you endlessly—I’m your guy, and I`d make such an excellent family dog! If you’re looking for a sweet, goofy, affectionate companion, come meet me. I can’t wait to finally find my person. Well hello there, young whippersnapper. Name’s Charlie, and I’ve been around the block a few times—literally and figuratively. I’m a wise ol` yellow lab with a heart full of stories, a back touched by the years, and a spirit that still perks up at the sound of a friendly knock on the door. Life’s been a bit unsettled lately, so I can be anxious at first. But speak kindly, offer a gentle hand, and you’ll find I’m quick to soften. I walk just fine—with a little enthusiastic pulling here and there—and I know my sit and down. As for treats, I’ll only accept Benny’s Bullys. At my age, I’ve earned the right to be particular. When folks come to say hello, I’ll give one dignified bark, then shuffle over with a wiggle to greet them properly. Dogs get me awfully excited—sometimes too excited—so I’ll need patient, understanding canine friends. I came to the shelter through no fault of my own, and now I’m hoping for a quiet home with a yard where an old boy like me can stretch, sniff the breeze, and enjoy the simple things again. If you’re seeking a loyal companion with a gentle spirit and a wise old heart, I’d be honored to spend my sunset years by your side.A generous donator from `Oma`s Foundation` paid for Charlie`s adoption fee so the adopter only has to pay his $30 admin fee!

Hi there! I’m Tank. I’m a 2-year-old Mastiff mix, big-hearted, big-bodied, and big on love. If you’re looking for a happy, goofy, people-loving best friend, I think we’re already a perfect match. I’m a very friendly boy—seriously, I’ve never met what I would consider a stranger, everyone is my friend! I sometimes get so excited that I pop up on my back legs, but I’m learning to keep all four paws on the floor (promise!). I LOVE attention, petting, and carrying around my favorite bone like a prize. I’m social, playful, and ready for adventure. I’ve got pep in my step and I’m a strong guy, especially on leash—when I decide something smells interesting, I can really lean into it! I’d do best with someone who can help me practice good leash manners and give me plenty of ways to burn off my energy. I want to be honest…being alone can be a little tough for me. I might cry or howl when you first go, especially if it’s for a long time. I’m getting better—having the TV or radio on really helps! Right now, about 3 hours alone is my sweet spot. I’d love someone who can help me feel safe and confident about solo time, or even a fun pet sitter that can pop in throughout the day so I don`t feel so lonely! A person or family who has time for play, training, and snuggles. Someone patient, kind, and ready to help me keep growing into my best self. If you like big, affectionate, happy-go-lucky dogs…well, I think you’ll really like me. I am a special paws adoption, which means I do have medical needs that need tending to. I have some skin allergies that may require lifelong medication. Because of this, my adoption fee is entirely up to you (a $30 administrative fee still applies).
