Story
Hey there, I`m Wyatt, the happiest pup you`ll ever meet! I`m a 1.5-year-old Lab mix with a heart full of love and a personality to match. I`m looking for a forever family that can keep up with my playful and energetic nature.I`m a goofy and fun-loving guy who is always up for an adventure. I have a ton of energy, so I love to run and play whenever I get the chance. I`m also a social butterfly and get along great with other dogs. I would love to have a fenced yard where I can run and play to my heart`s content.I would thrive in a home with a fenced yard where I can burn off some of my energy. I would also do best with kids who are 10 and up, as my high energy level might be a bit much for younger children. If you have cats, don`t worry—I`m happy to do a slow introduction to make sure we get along.I`m in good health and ready to find my forever home. I`m up to date on all my vaccines and just can`t wait to find a family that will love me as much as I love them.If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm.My adoption fee is: SPONSORED!

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Hey, everyone, I`m Presley!I`m an adorable 1 year old lab mix and I weigh just over 50 pounds. I have the prettiest white markings but am mostly black in color. I came to the shelter about a week ago and was super scared when I got here but am gradually getting used to my human and fur friends. I got to play in two different dog/dog playgroups today and I had so much fun with a couple of my buddies that stay with me here.Since I am still a bit shy and unsure of my surroundings, I would do best in more of a quiet home with not a lot going on. If you do have children, it would be better if they were older and not as rough playing with me. I love treats and balls and I eat my food very nicely and politely.I cannot go to a home with smaller animals or cats.I don`t know any tricks yet, so I would do really great with a family that would be dedicated to taking me to basic obedience training where I can learn very good manners. If you are interested in adopting me or another homeless pet at Macomb County Animal Control, walk-in adoption hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-4pm and Saturday 10am-3pm. To help speed up the application process, it is recommended that you complete the online application form found at the link below.https://www.macombgov.org/departments/animal-control/adoptions,My adoption fee is $100

Story
Eddy is a 4 year old brown lab/german shepard mix (his birthday is September). I got him as a rehome from a young couple that didn't have a yard. Eddy has lots of energy and needs a yard to run in, romp, and play. Although he loves to be outside he prefers to be with his owners, so if you are inside he would prefer to be with you. If left outside he would cry to come in. He is a large dog that doesn't understand his size. He thinks he is a lap dog and will try to sit right in your lap. He is good with kids, it's just his size and strength he is unaware of. He is house trained, no accidents. He can, at times, eat fast so we use one of those food bowls that looks like a maze. I recommend a placement with older children, teens, due to him being rambunctious and not understanding his strength and size. No property destruction, except he has chewed on a couple children's toys that were left out (he is drawn to stuffed animals). Due to pulling, a gentle lead is used during walks.

We do our best to provide information that will help determine if the animal might be a good fit for you. Please note that behaviors may change in a home environment. We also ask our applicants to assume that any animal they adopt from us will need to be potty-trained and learn house manners, although this is not always the case. In most cases, the listed breeds are also a best guess. Our online animal bios are designed to provide as much information as possible and answer some anticipated questions. We do not have the resources to respond to emails with more specific questions. We are receiving an unusually high number of applications at this time! Applications are reviewed as they are received, but we do not select adopters on a first-come basis. Our job is to ensure each pet is placed into the best fit home for them and that adopters are paired with an animal that is a good fit for their lifestyle. All animals will stay on Petfinder until they are “pending adoption”. Therefore, if an animal is still listed, we are still accepting applications for him/her! Please do not send inquiries about a specific animal's availability as this can change quickly over the course of the day. The fastest way to get a response is to simply submit an application!
