Story
A Sweet Lil’ Gal Looking for Her Soft-Butch Soulmate Meet Meadow. She’s adorable, she’s sensitive, she’s 35 pounds of fear-based decision-making… and she absolutely knows what she wants in life. And what she wants is women. Preferably gentle ones. Preferably quiet ones. Preferably the kind who say “good morning, honey” and mean it. Meadow bonds hard to her chosen female human. Once she decides you’re safe, she becomes a velvety little shadow who follows you from the couch to the kitchen to the bathroom like it’s her job. She loves walks, cozy corners, and gazing at her person as if you invented emotional safety. Now the honest part: Meadow says “absolutely not” to certain things. • Loud chaos? No thank you. • Rowdy kids? Also no. • Men? We respect everyone’s journey, but Meadow’s journey says “I’ll love you from across the room and growl if you get too ambitious.” • Unpredictable energy? Hard pass. • Baby gates? Cute idea. She jumps them. She’s crate-trained in the right home, but stress can make that slip, so her person needs to understand gentle routines, slow introductions, and not pushing her before she’s ready. She knows sit, down, and come (especially for her favorite person), and she walks beautifully on leash. She wants to be good — she just needs someone who understands that safety comes first for her. Meadow’s dream home: • Female-led or female-only • Calm, steady, emotionally mature • No kids doing Fortnite parkour in the living room • A person who loves a good couch cuddle • Someone patient enough to let her blossom instead of rushing her If you’re looking for a goofy, sensitive, loyal little lady who will love you like it’s her full-time job — and you are a woman who understands vibes — Meadow is ready to commit immediately. If you are interested in meeting please fill out an application at our website: www.gobeyondrescue.org/adopt Our adoption fee is $550 and includes spay/neuter, microchipping and up to date vaccines. Story
George  is estimated to be ~1.5yrs old and is 35lbs making him the perfect mid sized dog. He was rescued from an overcrowded Bay Area shelter where he was found cowering in the corner of his kennel.  Once in his foster home, it was clear that he had spent a lot of time outdoors in his young life. He was not used to common house noises but has really settled.  He is fostered with 3 resident siblings from 70lbs to 7lbs. He does need slow monitored introductions, as every new dog is "suspect"  and will take some time to warm up but has done great with the resident dogs and fellow fosters he has bunked with. He is medium energy and has a strong play style and does not back down easily if prompted. His favorite playtime is with his ~17lb foster sister who plays tough but is submissive. They will do a few wrestle or chase rounds then he will happily lay in his room or on the couch or even better snuggled against a human and then will watch tv for hours.  He loves to go for walks or short jogs around the neighborhood. When he sees new dogs or unfamiliar things outside he will freeze. There is no other reactivity, he just plays statue. He usually can be motivated by treats to continue along, the boy really loves food which makes him easily trainable. Maybe with time this would get better, but for now he is not a good candidate to go to doggy daycare, dog parks, etc.  George does have a heart murmur that was caused by a birth defect called Pulmonary Valve Stenosis which is a narrowed valve that causes restricted blood flow, George successfully had his Balloon Valvuloplasty procedure at UC Davis in October and is now in the mild range. Dogs in this range can live normal life spans. George is now ready to find his forever home! His ideal home would be a patient adult only home where he can be walked on quiet non bustling streets, so the middle of the city would not work for him.  He gets very excited for treats and walks and sometimes forgets his manners. He also does best in a calmer house as he doesn't like unpredictable movements or noises. He would be happy with another tolerant doggy sibling. If you are interested in meeting please fill out an application at our website: www.gobeyondrescue.org/adopt Our adoption fee is $550 and includes spay/neuter, microchipping and up to date vaccines. Meet Benny! This playboy is an absolute dream and wins over every single person he meets with his good looks and personality. He will wiggle his whole body at you and melt into your lap for snuggles. Benny is a total ham and a short stack at just 44 pounds with tiny little legs. He's around 1-2 years old and full grown. Benny is great in the house, has a mellow energy, but is always up for a walk or adventure. He's done well with other dogs but comes on strong, which not every dog appreciates. Story
Java is the CUTEST little staffy weighing in at 34 pounds of love - he is about two years old. This precious boy came to us from a very sad situation where he had lived chained up in a shed for a majority of his young life. Because of that, he is very timid and unsure of things in the world. He's most comfortable in his foster home. Java is fostered with other dogs and does fantastic. He is very cat like and loves nothing more than to snuggle up on the couch and sleep for hours. He is crate trained and does well in the house. His ideal home would be with someone who understands why dogs and will give him time to build trust and understand that he's more of a homebody.
