Story
Jojo is being fostered in Illinois. Has some vision.Hi. My name is Jojo. I am a 4-year-old boxer mix. I like to think of myself as a playful happy-go-lucky gal. I may not see you well because close objects are like shadows and a little blurry to me, but I know you are there. I get along well with all the cats and dogs in my foster home. I like cats (see https://youtu.be/t_3b0r0n9LY ). But I may need slow introductions with little feisty dogs. But I would love to go to a home that has many friendly 4-legged buddies.I like to be active and meet people and other dogs (see https://youtu.be/9LG4Cy9_kJI ). However, I am not too good with children because a lot of time kids either approach me too fast or gather around me, which makes me so scared that I have to give a warning snap. But I do love my walks. Even more, I love an open field that I can have all to myself so I can let out a lot of my energy (see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8nWkm8OssZU ). At home, I like to relax and sit at my spot while my foster daddy is doing his work. Everyday, I get to be petted and it makes me feel loved (see https://youtu.be/Y_-7FDicj-M ).I am housebroken. However, every once in a while, I have accidents because anxiety gets the best of me when I realize my foster dad has not been home for a while. I will do well in a home where someone is present 90-95 percent of time, perhaps with someone who works out of home or is an active retired person.Blind Dog Rescue has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Story
Thank you for your interest in this sweet girl. Ella has been adopted, Energetic, loving, and goofy 9-year-old Ella is super sweet but needs a family with an experienced dog owner. A little under 2ft tall and 40 lbs, she's sleek and muscular. Ella is fully house-trained and very patient with the three cats she lives with. She's never lived with kids but is generally chill with the children in the neighborhood.
She loves her toys, playing fetch, tug of war games, following you around the house, and of course, napping. Ella wants to be involved in whatever you're doing and is alert to someone coming to the door. She is highly food motivated, Ella picks up new tricks quickly but can be stubborn and easily distracted, so she needs lots of consistent positive reinforcement to maintain behavioral changes. She has many opinions and she will let you know about them.
Ella also plays well with other dogs, although sometimes she has issues with dogs larger than she is, but is good at de-escalating potential conflicts. Ella really loves company so if her new people are gone for a full work day she will need a canine companion. She's leash trained and always excited to jump in the car to visit the park. Ella is a great dog looking for a home where she is loved and cherished. Would you be the one for her?" Ella is now being fostered in Oakland, CA and her adoption fee is $275.00 Arrangements to meet our dogs occur after an application has been received. Please contact us at dogzonerescue@yahoo.com for more information about this great gal or for an application to adopt.

Story
I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog J:10This dog is available to meet by appointment only. Ezequiel is a 10-month-old boxer weighing 65 pounds. He is a sweet, sensitive puppy who's still learning that the world can be a safe place. Everything is a little overwhelming right now, but with patience and kindness, this gentle boy has all the potential to blossom into the happy, confident companion he's meant to be. He'll thrive with experienced adopters who can let him settle in at his own pace and celebrate the little victories along the way. A quiet adult home with a confident resident dog would be a wonderful fit, helping Ezequiel build confidence and discover all the joys of being a puppy. He would do best with appropriately matched dogs or as a solo dog with dog friends outside the home. Please submit an adoption questionnaire to meet him.July 31, 2026, 3:51 am

* To be considered for a meet/adoption, please read the full biography to see whether they may be a good fit for your home, then submit an online application at www.dpsrescue.org.* This dog will be at the Palo Alto Pet Food Express on Saturday, August 1st from 12-3 PM unless adopted prior to the event.     All DPS Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, flea/tick treated, and microchipped prior to adoption.   Adoption fee: $650   Meet the Summer Sips Puppies! Four refreshing little reasons to fall in love.   Born in the shelter but raised the safety of our rescue to adorable Mama Sunny D, a petite, low-rider Pittie mix, the Summer Sips puppies have spent their entire lives surrounded by love, good care, and plenty of opportunities to grow into confident, happy little pups. Now, at just 9 weeks old and weighing around 8–10 pounds (with one extra petite little sister!), they're ready to trade the nursery for forever homes.   Their days begin bright and early around 7 a.m. with a potty break outside before digging into their favorite Nulo puppy breakfast. Since growing puppies work up quite an appetite, they enjoy meals every 3–4 hours throughout the day before spending their time doing what puppies do best: playing, wrestling, exploring, collecting toys, greeting visitors, and occasionally crashing for an adorable nap. They spend their days roaming the barn with plenty of enrichment and have been raised alongside adult dogs and cats, making them respectful little housemates in the making. By about 9 p.m., everyone is happily tucked into bed after another adventure-filled day.   Like any great mixed drink menu, each puppy has their own unique flavor!   Kool-Aid The Life of the Party   If there's a welcoming committee, Kool-Aid is leading it.   One of the confident boys, Kool-Aid is always among the first to greet new people with a wagging tail and endless enthusiasm. He's playful, outgoing, and loves romping with his siblings until everyone is happily exhausted. After a good wrestling match, he's just as happy climbing into your lap for a little affection before heading off for his next adventure.   He's the perfect combination of fun-loving puppy energy and affectionate cuddle buddy.   Hi-C Big Heart, Big Paws, Big Personality   Hi-C is the largest puppy in the litter, tipping the scales at about 10 pounds— and somehow every ounce of him is sweetness.   He's a sturdy little guy with a playful spirit and endless confidence. Whether he's chasing toys, tumbling with his siblings, or making new human friends, Hi-C approaches everything with joy. Like his brother, he's one of the first to say hello when visitors arrive and loves being right in the middle of the action.   If you're looking for a puppy who's equal parts goofy playmate and loyal best friend, Hi-C is ready for the job.   Capri Sun The Sweet, Easygoing One   Every litter has that puppy who quietly charms everyone—and that's Capri Sun.   She has a calm, gentle personality that makes her wonderfully easy to be around. While she enjoys playing with her siblings, toys, and people, she's perfectly content letting everyone else steal the spotlight while she happily joins the fun at her own pace.   Capri Sun has a thoughtful, laid-back nature that makes her an easy companion. She enjoys affection without demanding constant attention and is happiest simply being included in whatever the family is doing.   Tang Tiny Package, Extra Sweetness   Don't let her petite size fool you— Tang has enough love packed into her little 6.9-pound body to fill a whole pitcher.   The smallest puppy in the litter, Tang is a gentle, precious girl who enjoys playing with her siblings before happily curling up for an early nap wrapped snugly in a cozy blanket. She has an especially soft, affectionate personality and will let out the cutest little whines when she's hoping for a cuddle.   She can be a bit more timid than her brothers, but once she feels safe, her sweet nature shines. Tang would love a family who appreciates puppy snuggles just as much as puppy zoomies.   Looking for a Little Refreshment?   Whether you're drawn to outgoing adventurers, gentle cuddle bugs, or somewhere in between, the Summer Sips puppies have a flavor for everyone.   Like all young puppies, they'll need families committed to positive training, socialization, patience, and lots of love as they grow into wonderful adult dogs. In return, you'll get years of laughter, loyal companionship, and a best friend who's guaranteed to brighten every season— not just summer.   July 29, 2026, 5:50 pm

Story
Hello there, I'm Dahlia! I'm a spayed female, 2-year-old, Pitbull/ German Shepherd mix that currently weighs about 52lbs. I'm a sweet, curious lady that would love to go home with a family with kids 10 years or older that has experience with shy gals like me. My new family should also be prepared to continue my training since I'm still working on my doggy social skills and learning to share. If you have a mellow resident dog, please bring him or her in so we can say hello before I officially join the family! I would love to meet the whole household before going to a home, so come on by and say hi! For more information, just ask Customer Service about me. Dahlia ID#A0959886 I recently went on a sleepover  with a PHS volunteer! Here's how I did: I proved what an absolute angel and top-tier cuddle bug I really am! It didn't take me long to settle into a real home. As soon as I arrived, I happily explored every room, made quick friends with everyone I met, and claimed my spot as the ultimate couch potato. I loved watching the Great British Baking Show, soaking up all the scratches I could get, and sleeping soundly at the foot of the bed all night long. I was a total gentlewoman indoors: 100% potty trained with zero accidents, no shoe-chewing, and no digging in the yard! Outside, I had the best time running around the backyard with my favorite squeaky chicken toy. I love playing fetch, tug-of-war, and showing off my adorable evening zoomies. On walks and hikes, I was so well-behaved and didn't react to other people or dogs passing by. If you're looking for a sweet, loyal shadow who will run in the yard with you by day and snuggle right up next to you by night, I'm your girl! Hi there! My name is Sonnet and I'm a 4-year-old, spayed, pit bull mix that currently weighs about 47lbs. I'm a total sweetheart with an inquisitive side. I love to sniff and investigate new places before saying hello to new friends. It's nothing personal; I just love to take in new information. Once I've had a chance to check out my surroundings, I will say hello and want to play. I LOVE FETCH! It is my absolute favorite game! Sometimes it's the only thing I can focus on so I'm hoping for a family that is prepared to continue my training and help me learn that there's more to life than just ball. I'm also still working on some social skills. I could be the perfect adventure buddy for someone that's looking for a sidekick. Before I officially join the family, I'd like a chance to meet the entire household including any resident dogs. I'm sure we'll all have so much fun!
