Story
Snapshot of Rae! Size? King size (50-70 lbs.) Activity Level? I play hard and sleep hard! Noise Level? I like to alert people that something new is happening, but I quiet down quickly! Good with Dogs? I would do best as an only dog. Good with Cats? No cats please. Good with Kids? I love everyone but my energy and size are better suited with older kids. Good with Strangers? I need slow introductions. Potty Trained? I'm a pro! Crate Trained? Love my crate! About Rae: Hello - I'm Rae and I came to TCPR from a local shelter when nobody claimed me. Can you believe that no one came looking for me? Just look at my cute face!!! I know how to sit, down (lay), touch, shake, leave it, kennel and that the "uh-uh" sound means I'm doing something I probably shouldn't be. I'm working on learning how to play fetch and I love stuffies and my current favorites are bones and squeaky tennis balls. I go to my kennel for bedtime and when no one is home, and I hardly ever complain about it. I really enjoy walks and can go for multiple miles (weather permitting). I walk pretty well on leash as long as small animals like squirrels and rabbits don't cross our path, I just think they are so fun to chase! My foster home has a fenced yard and I love the freedom of running without being on a leash. I need regular exercise to burn off energy and keep me out of trouble! If I am able to burn some energy, I will gladly sleep with my head on your lap while you watch a movie. I would also do very well in an obedience class and would definitely benefit from one. I get very excited to meet new people but I don't trust their dogs and will bark to tell them to stay away. I used to share the house with a resident cat, we had met a few times but the cat didn't appreciate the energy I greeted her with and told me off with a swipe of the paw.. that doesn't deter my enthusiasm, so I may do better in a cat-free home. Because of my size and energy, I would do better in a home with older kids or adults, because my zoomies might knock over a small child. If you're looking for a buddy to sit out on the patio at your local brewery or meet ups at the dog park, we might not be a great match. However, if you want a walking buddy and can throw a ball around for me, I think we could be perfect together. Would you like to be my forever family? Rae is fixed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations for her age. Level 1 Obedience training is required. Twin Cities Pet Rescue has reduced Rae's Adoption Fee to $100 + applicable taxes to help her find her well deserved forever home who will continue to work with her and provide her with training to help with her anxiety and reactive behavior. Story
Goose came to us about a year and a half ago. It was originally supposed to be about a month or 2 for us to watch him so that my friend and her boyfriend could move in to their new home. Long story short they ended up breaking up and not moving and neither one of them could get goose back due to their living arrangements. I've recently moved and my landlord won't accept me having Goose because of his breed. Goose is super sweet, very good around kids. I have 6 children aging from 2 months to 18 and they love him. We have grown to love him and definitely sadden to see him go. I'm all out of options and can't afford to move anywhere right now. I'm looking For someone who has experiences with pit bulls and or larger dogs. Goose is house trained and crate trained. He loves to play with toys and loves his xxxx@xxxx.x overly hyper and gets along with other dogs that he knows. Looking for someone who has either some land or a backyard where he can get his exercise. Goose is great!

Story
Say hello to April! April is a 2.5 year-old Staffordshire Terrier mix and 62 lbs of pure energy and affection.April might take a bit of time to gain confidence around new people, but once she does she will be your best friend forever! She understands that her calling in life is to act as her human’s shadow and will go the extra mile in order to not miss out on any action happening at home. This might even include her licking your hair while you catch up on your latest Netflix binge!April is house trained. It is likely that April used to spend most of her time outdoors, so she may need a bit of guidance as to where the appropriate place to go potty is. She has caught on quickly in her foster home, no accidents! April is also crate trained. She does well in her crate at night and while home alone. Overall, she is the coziest pup who loves fireplaces, heat vents, cozy blankets, cuddling with her humans. While April prefers to see her humans throughout the day, she does well when left home alone and has not been known to vocalize or be destructive. She requires a medium level of activity and is content with a daily walk and plenty of stuffed toys to play with! April is a curious girl who would love to have a fenced yard to sniff around in but it is not required.April has had a difficult journey before coming into our rescue, so she will need time and guidance to learn how to coexist peacefully with other animals. She will benefit from structured introductions and positive reinforcement to help her feel comfortable around new furry friends. When it comes to cats in particular, April has yet to meet one! She has shown signs of a prey drive, so a meet-and-greet would be necessary if there is a cat in the household. When April is feeling playful, her energy can be very high! Her play style is all in good fun but this may overwhelm young children as she can get a bit mouthy. She would do best in a household with children 13 years and older.April is ready to meet her forever home! With patience and consistent structure she will blossom into the perfect companion that anyone could ask for. If you’re interested in learning more about April and think she might be a good fit, fill out an application using the link below to learn more! Whoever becomes her family will be lucky they did.https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $450. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchip implant (including registration). Adoption fees INCLUDE a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%.Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown.Due to post-adoption services provided, we prefer to adopt within a 150-mile radius of the Twin Cities. However, we will consider up to 250 miles if the foster agrees to travel requirements and staff approval.

Story
Hi! My name is Dahlia, but I also have many fun nicknames - Dolly, Dolly Dingo, and Dolly Doobers!I’m a 6-year-old adorable lady who loves to give kisses! I may weigh 67-pounds but I consider myself a lap dog! I just love my people! It's probable that I had a lot of puppies in my past. I was picked up by animal control and stayed in the shelter for a month before going to a Pet Haven foster home where I could thrive. Due to my past, I'm a bit timid at first but I warm up quickly with a gentle approach!I know how to sit at food time and do well in a crate for the most part! Because of my size and playful nature, I would do best in a home with older kids. I love human kids but I want to be your one and only fur-child!I'm a very, very sweet lover girl who just wants to be your favorite companion and best buddy! Story
Simone is a 16-week-old Pitbull mix puppy and a LOT of fun! Currently weighing 20 pounds, she’s learning new things every day and is looking for a loving family to grow up with.Simone is still working on house training and hasn’t been introduced to a crate yet, but she’s a smart cookie who’s eager to please. She’s already very well-behaved and loves following her humans around, like a curious little shadow. She loves being part of the action and trying to be helpful. At night, she loves snuggling up and giving plenty of kisses. When it's play time, she happily joins her siblings on whatever game is happening—especially if it involves toys! Her favorite move? Rolling a tennis ball around with her nose like a little soccer pro! She also loves short walks so she's been easy to please. She gets along wonderfully with the other dogs in her foster home, only barking when another dog has a toy she wants, but she’s already starting to grow out of it. While she’s still learning about the world and hasn’t met cats or young kids yet, she has a friendly, easygoing vibe that makes her a great candidate for all kinds of families. Simone is looking for a forever home that can offer her love, structure, and lots of playtime. If you’re looking for a silly pup and cuddle buddy, Simone just might be your girl!If you are interested in this dog, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $550. Story
Meet Fenris James Bond – the ultimate gentleman with a big heart and an even bigger cuddle game! At 10 years young, this American Bully/Bull Terrier mix weighs in at 59 lbs of pure love. Fenris is the definition of a people dog—he adores being around his humans and curling up as close as possible. Personal space is optional for him!Fenris is house-trained, free-roams like a champ, and mostly snoozes the day away when you’re out. He’s super food motivated, very smart, and hilariously expressive when he wants something—whether it’s a treat, a trip outside, or just some love. When he is all tuckered out, you'll love to hear his mid-nap woofs! While Fenris is a very low-key guy, he will need a family who understands his needs. Due to how often he needs potty breaks (currently 6 to 8 times a day), he may not be the best match for apartment life, but he could also go up to 6 hours between breaks. A home with easy outdoor access would be perfect. When it comes to other animals, Fenris wants to make friends but might need some help. He gets very excited around other dogs, and has reacted bigger to male dogs than female dogs so far. He will pull on the leash when on he sees other dogs on walks or if something exciting crosses his path (especially squirrels!). He loves playing with other dogs with a proper introduction. He hasn't had much experience with cats or children while in our care, but his foster family has no concerns for introductions there. He’s not a fan of long treks, so he's easy to please! He enjoys a few short strolls each day to explore and find new squirrels to meet in his dreams. If you're looking for a super sweet and smart sidekick, Fenris James Bond is ready to steal your heart! If you are interested in this dog, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $250.
