Say hello to April! April is a 2.5 year-old Staffordshire Terrier mix and 62 lbs of pure energy and affection. Just look at that smile!April might take a bit of time to gain confidence around new people, but once she does she will be your best friend forever! She understands that her calling in life is to act as her human’s shadow and will go the extra mile in order to not miss out on any action happening at home. She is truly made to be your best friend.April is house trained. It is likely that April used to spend most of her time outdoors, so she may need a bit of guidance as to where the appropriate place to go potty is. She has caught on quickly in her foster home, no accidents! April is also crate trained. She does well in her crate at night and while home alone. Overall, she is the coziest pup who loves fireplaces, heat vents, cozy blankets, cuddling with her humans.While April prefers to see her humans throughout the day, she does well when left home alone and has not been known to vocalize or be destructive. She requires a medium level of activity and is content with a daily walk and plenty of stuffed toys to play with! April is a curious girl who would love to have a fenced yard to sniff around in but it is not required.April has had a difficult journey before coming into our rescue, and now April would do better in a no-dog home. She still does not really know how to interact with other dogs, and on our walks she needs to steer away from other furry friends. When April is feeling playful, her energy can be very high! Her play style is all in good fun but this may overwhelm young children as she can get a bit mouthy. She would do best in a household with children 13 years and older.April is ready to meet her forever home! With patience and consistent structure she will blossom into the perfect companion that anyone could ask for. However, we will consider up to 250 miles if the foster agrees to travel requirements and staff approval.

Sweetest dog ever alert!! Willamina (aka Willie) is a ball of love. All she wants is play and cuddles!! She is (mostly) potty trained, but needs time to adjust to new spaces and struggles with harsh cold conditions (who can blame her?). I need to rehome due to unresolved behavioral issues with other dogs. I have a resident 5yo male pitbull that is currently staying elsewhere due to her dog-reactivity. She is an angel with people, but needs to be in a home where she is the only free-roaming animal. Shes great at communicating her wants/needs by pointing and barking. She is also quite shy at first, but warms up quickly to most people (especially women). Please consider giving this sweetheart her forever home! She's high energy, but worth the patience! Her intelligence impresses me, so I'm positive that with more time than I am currently able to commit, she will be an amazing companion for someone.

Hi! I am Mortimer, a 3.5 y.o. pittie mix that loves, loves my humans! I am housebroken, up to date on vaccines and am a healthy, energetic, handsome boy! My favorite thing to do is show off my toy and wiggle my butt to praise of "That's a great toy buddy!" The more praise , the more I wiggle my tiny butt! I am a great protector and patrol my fenced in backyard regularly saving my family from dastardly bunnies. I need a new home because I do not like my doggy siblings, they cause me great anxiety and I have lashed out and attacked them, one time I put myself in the emergency room as a result. I need an experienced adopter that loves walks and to be an only pet. I am crate trained and use that as my safe space, I have been to obedience class and know basic commands. I love to please my humans! Mom and Dad sent me to a board and train to deal with my aggressiveness towards my sibling and are currently doing in-home dog training with Canine Coach.
