Story
I got her from a home where they were gonna bring her to humain society. I didnt want her to have to go through that so took her to take the time to find her a good home. If I didnt have the work schedule that I do, I would keep her. She deserves a home where she can get the attention she deserves. Very loving, and gentle. She does not get along with other pets. But that Honestly is her only flaw. Just a sweet loving dog. She is house trained and does NOT chew. She will come with everything you need including a bed, food, toys, and water and food bowl. Really hoping to find the right home.

Story
Max is a 2-year-old Pitbull/Hound mix and such a friendly, loving dog! Weighing in at 65 pounds, he wakes up as a ball of energy every morning and is always ready to play outside. Once 7 PM rolls around, he’s out like a light and looking for belly rubs and cuddle time. This large, playful boy is fully house-trained, crate-trained, and incredibly well-mannered in the home. He can even be trusted out of the kennel during the day and rarely barks. He already knows basic commands like sit, stay, and come, and is working on “shake.”Max is the perfect mix of active and affectionate. He starts his mornings full of energy, ready for walks, runs, or playtime (he especially loves durable squeaky toys!). Max will require a home with a fenced yard where he can burn off his energy in addition to daily walks. He's been doing 1-2 walks daily around 1-3 miles with a few runs mixed in. By evening, he’s all about winding down and soaking in belly rubs. Max is a little nervous at first with other dogs, so slow introductions have worked great. He also does very well with children (ages 4 and 14) but does not have experience with cats.Max is ready to find his forever home, one where he can keep being his happy, playful self and end every day curled up next to his favorite humans. If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving companion who will keep you active and then cuddle up by your side, Max might be your perfect match! If you are interested in Max, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $450. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, heartworm/Lyme test, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchip implant (including registration). Story
Say hello to April! April is a 2.5 year-old Staffordshire Terrier mix and 62 lbs of pure energy and affection. Just look at that smile!April might take a bit of time to gain confidence around new people, but once she does she will be your best friend forever! She understands that her calling in life is to act as her human’s shadow and will go the extra mile in order to not miss out on any action happening at home. She is truly made to be your best friend.April is house trained. It is likely that April used to spend most of her time outdoors, so she may need a bit of guidance as to where the appropriate place to go potty is. She has caught on quickly in her foster home, no accidents! April is also crate trained. She does well in her crate at night and while home alone. Overall, she is the coziest pup who loves fireplaces, heat vents, cozy blankets, cuddling with her humans. While April prefers to see her humans throughout the day, she does well when left home alone and has not been known to vocalize or be destructive. She requires a medium level of activity and is content with a daily walk and plenty of stuffed toys to play with! April is a curious girl who would love to have a fenced yard to sniff around in but it is not required.April has had a difficult journey before coming into our rescue, and now April would do better in a no-dog home. She still does not really know how to interact with other dogs, and on our walks she needs to steer away from other furry friends. She also cannot live with cats. When April is feeling playful, her energy can be very high! Her play style is all in good fun but this may overwhelm young children as she can get a bit mouthy. She would do best in a household with children 13 years and older.April is ready to meet her forever home! With patience and consistent structure she will blossom into the perfect companion that anyone could ask for. If you’re interested in learning more about April and think she might be a good fit, fill out an application using the link below to learn more! Whoever becomes her family will be lucky they did.https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $150. Story
Sweetpea is a 3.5-month-old brindle Pittie mix with the wiggliest greetings and the sweetest soul to match her name. At around 25 pounds, she’s growing fast and keeping up with the big dogs — yes, even on three legs. She's playful, snuggly, curious, and just a little bit chaotic in the best way. She’s doing great with potty training and is already going outside consistently with just a few accidents. With a routine and a little patience, she’ll have it mastered in no time. She happily goes in her crate for a treat and sleeps through the night. She’s not very vocal, aside from some adorable little “awooos,” and would do best in a home where people are around often to help guide her through puppyhood.Sweetpea LOVES other dogs and brings instant wiggles wherever she goes. She’s learning from her foster dog siblings every day and would likely thrive in a home with a playful canine buddy. She has not had much experience with cats or with children, so a proper introduction is recommended. Her story started with a broken leg that required amputation, but you’d never know it watching her zoom, explore, and bounce around. She loves squeaky toys, chewing on puppy bones, exploring the yard, and then dramatically plopping down for a nap like she’s had the busiest day ever. If you’re looking for a dog who will make you laugh daily, cuddle hard, and inspire you with her determination, Sweetpea is ready to wiggle her way right into your heart. If you are interested in this dog, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $550. Story
This 3-year-old Pitbull/Pointer mix is an energetic and inquisitive pup! At about 54 lbs, Cosma “sings” a little “OOOOoooOOO” instead of barking when she’s extra happy to see you.Cosma is house-trained, crate-trained, and currently thriving in apartment living with a solid potty routine of four-ish outings a day. She’s a quick learner who already knows how to sit and roll over, and she’s working on polishing her manners (mostly keeping those paws off the counter). She will require a fenced yard in her future home due to safety concerns. She loves staying busy—whether she’s people-watching through the window, squeaking a toy, or carefully hiding a treasured cheese bone. Cosma enjoys walks, chasing toys, and any food she can get her paws on, freeze-dried meat treats are a favorite! She can be a little unsure when meeting new people at first, but does well with a few treats and some patience. She lived with a male dog previously, but has been dog selective, so she is currently working with a trainer. Cosma will require a dog-free home for now. She hasn't met any cats or kids yet, so a proper introduction is recommended.Cosma is lightly vocal, quick to alert to hallway noises, and sometimes wary of people in bulky winter gear, but overall she’s a well-adjusted, loving dog. If you’re looking for a smart, expressive, food-motivated pup with a cosmic name and a heart of gold, Cosma might just be your perfect match. If you are interested in Cosma, fill out an application at this link to get the ball rolling - https://pethavenmn.org/adopt/adoptable-dogs/dog-adoption-application/The adoption fee is $450. Story
Camden is a huge snuggle bug, he loves car rides and rubber balls. He is goofy and such a sweet boy. He is good outside of a kennel if stuff is picked up. If he is kenneled he will need to be on anxiety meds. He doesn’t bark but screams if kenneled. He has separation anxiety, I’ve done training and meds with him to help. He does pee in excitement when meeting people, so outside greets after he potty’s is ideal. He is a lazy boy and is great with everyone and everything! I am a single mom working an on call overnight job along with being in college full time. He deserves someone who can be there consistently. I have stuff that would go with him if adopted..
