Age: 3 yr Weight: 51 lbs Dog friendly: Yes Cat friendly: Unknown Kid friendly: Yes, Older/considerate kids Potty trained: Yes Crate trained: Does well being left loose in the home Adoption fee: $325 Meet Zena! Zena is a 3‑year‑old pit bull/bully mix with a big heart and an even bigger personality. This affectionate, loyal girl will surprise you with her wit, athleticism, and curiosity. She loves to swim (yes, really!), go for walks, ride in the car (she’s handled several road trips!), and romp around with other pups at the dog park. Zena also enjoys snuggling up with her human(s), napping with a bone, and watching the world go by through the windows of her home. Playful and bright, Zena loves learning new things - especially when treats are involved. She’s always up for fun and adventure, whether joining you on a hike or curling up beside you after a long day. She’s at her best when she can roam freely around the house. Zena alternates between sleeping with her human(s) and curling up on the couch or in her own bed. She has a history of separation anxiety, but since starting the right medication and working with a behaviorist, she’s improved immensely. Zena needs slow introductions - with plenty of treats - when strangers enter the home (she’s comfortable meeting new people in public). She may be nervous at first, but it doesn’t take long for her to warm up and form a deep, trusting bond. Her new family will also receive support from her behaviorist during the transition to her new home. Zena is an adaptable, loving companion who’s ready to share her enthusiasm and affection with a family that will cherish her playful spirit and loyal heart.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.   Meet the Vinster! (His friends call him Vinny) 2yo, 40lb - the perfect petite size for this little monochrome pup! This potato is looking to be a stay-at-home, couch-snoozin', snack-stealin', butt-wigglin' puppy dog who is always waiting at the door for you!! Vinny is a happy dude who loves ALL people, kids included! Vinny says - "kid's always have the best snacks!"  Vinny would love to have a HUMAN ONLY home, so that he can be the center of attention and get all the snuggles and attention. Vinny came from a high-kill shelter in rural Ohio where one of our rescue friends saw him and he couldn't get in the car fast enough. We don't know his background completely, but that doesn't slow him down from giving all the love and wiggly butts to his humans.  Vinny loves to go for walks, eat pup cups, clean up after his little human children, and snuggle up on the middle of the bed and watch nature documentaries. He really is your typical "House Hippo".  Because Vinny was a shelter dog, we would love to see Vinny go to a home with a human who knows the breed and understands his specific needs. Vinny MUST be the only dog in the home, and his adopter must agree to not taking Vin to dog parks or to socialize with other canines.   Vinny is full of love, zoomies, slobber, and smiles. This little guy would make a family with dog educated kids very very happy!  If you'd like to learn more about Vinny, submit an interest form on our website.        https://redemptionroadrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/ If you are viewing this listing on PETFINDER there is often MORE INFO ON and MORE PICS OF the animal DIRECTLY ON OUR WEBSITE. redemptionroad.mn@gmail.com Follow us on Facebook & Instagram! https://www.facebook.com/RedemptionRoadRescue/ @RedemptionRoadRescueMN *Adoption fee for Vinny is $425 + MN tax* All animals fully vetted appropriate for age: spayed/neutered, rabies vaccine, DHPP vaccine, 4DX test (@8 months or older), microchipped with lifetime registration, dewormed, flea/tick prevention, heartworm prevention.  *Since we typically don't know a rescue dogs actual genetics, their breed and estimated size when grown on their bio is just an educated guess based on information and observations we have.*  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 7, 2026, 2:20 pm

Age: 2 years old Weight: 59 lbs Dog friendly: Yes, another dog required in the home to help build confidence Cat friendly: Unknown/not tested Kid friendly: Older children only Potty trained: Yes Crate trained: Yes **NEEDS A FENCED YARD AND ANOTHER DOG IN THE HOME** Hello, My name is Lilo and I am an adorable Pittie/Great Pyrenees mix! My foster mom tells me I’m a dog’s dog. I haven’t met a canine I don’t love. When my foster home has foster puppies, I couldn’t be more excited - check out my smile in the photo above! I’m a sweet, shy dog that needs time to get comfortable with new people. I was under socialized as a young puppy so I can be very scared with new people, particularly men. I’m taking medication to help me with my anxiety and I’ve made progress while in rescue! I’m hoping to find somebody that will be patient with me as I learn to trust new people and realize humans can be pretty fun too! I love chewing on bully sticks, bones, yak chews - pretty much anything my foster family will let me chew on. My favorite place is out in the fenced yard playing with the dogs or on my spot on the couch curled up with a treat. I love going for walks and adventures with my foster family and the other dogs. I usually sleep on my spot on the couch at night. When my foster family is gone, I’m left loose with the resident dogs, but I’m also very comfortable in my crate. I am just a super sweet pup looking for a forever family. Could that be you? Fill out an application today! Adoption Fee: $325

Story
Hi I’m Anne! My family says I am the sweetest girl :)  My favorite thing is to curl up in a cozy spot (preferably somebody’s bed) and take a nap. I also like to play with my toys, but I have to be careful because I have a heart condition and if I play too hard or get too excited, I have mini seizures that cause me to lose my balance and tip over. In more severe situations, I could experience a more serious seizure-like episode. I’m super sweet and gentle. I do well in and out of my crate and have only had a few accidents. My family has left me alone for up to seven hours and I have done just fine. I love meeting new people, but I’m not so sure about dogs. I can be around them, but if they get too close I might let them know. But my family thinks that with some training, I might be able to make some friends and maybe even live with other dogs. I also love riding in the car! I like staring out the window, and then when I am bored of that, I like to curl up in the back seat and take a nap.  I know my basic commands, but my family says I’m stubborn because I don’t always like to listen when they call my name and they want my attention. They also say I’m being dramatic when I give them my pouty eyes. I do okay on walks, but I need to use a harness since I do like to wander and explore and of course if I see a squirrel, rabbit, or another dog, I want to get a closer look!  I would do best with someone who likes to lay around with me and understands my physical limitations. Due to my heart condition, it is hard to predict how much time I have left, but I hope to find someone who is willing to love me anyway! Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Story
Hi. I’m Beef Wellington. Yes, like the fancy dish. No, I will not be served with potatoes — but I will sit very nicely for treats. I’m a 4-year-old, 60-pound, beefy pit bull with a big block head and an even bigger heart. Animal control picked me up in St. Paul, and for a minute there, it looked like my future involved a cement kennel and a chorus of yappy puppies. But then my foster family swooped in and busted me out so I could start my new life in rescue. Let me tell you — living in a real home instead of on cold concrete? 10/10. Highly recommend. Foster Mom calls me “the sweetest blockhead,” and honestly… she’s not wrong. I’m what you might call a Velcro dog with extra beef. I love people. Did I mention I love people? Because I LOVE people. My favorite place in the entire world is wherever my humans are — sitting with them, laying on them, leaning on them, breathing the same air as them. If you move, I move. Congratulations, we are now a team. I like other dogs too — I’m a social guy! I just prefer they respect my space when I’m eating. I mean… who likes sharing snacks? I’d do best being left alone during meals so I can enjoy them in peace. Cats? Absolutely not. In my professional opinion, they are chew toys with opinions. I’m house-trained and potty-trained — a true gentleman. When my foster family goes to a mysterious place called “work” (about 9 hours a day), I hang out in my kennel. I might bark at first to express my deep emotional disappointment, but eventually I settle in and take a nap. I also take my bones very seriously. I prefer to enjoy them in my kennel and be left alone until I’ve finished. A guy deserves uninterrupted snack time, right? On walks, I can pull on the leash — I just get excited about life and want to see everything immediately. With a little consistency, I’ll keep improving my leash manners. Car rides? Oh, I LOVE car rides. I show my appreciation by trying to be as physically close to you as possible the entire time. You’re welcome. I can be a little protective of my people — they’re my whole world, after all. My foster family thinks I’d do great with kids, especially dog-savvy ones. I’m a solid beefcake, so I might accidentally knock over someone small just by loving them enthusiastically. Energy-wise, I’m moderately active — happy to go for walks and adventures — but I’m equally happy flopping on the floor for a nap with my humans. Truly, my favorite activity is simply being with you. Oh — one more thing about me. When I came into rescue, I had a broken foot that just wouldn’t heal. The vets tried their best, but in the end, the foot had to go. So now I’m living life as a tripod — three legs, same big heart. And honestly? I’m doing great. I still walk, explore, cuddle, and live my best beefy life. It hasn’t slowed me down — it just makes me a little more unique. My daily routine looks something like this: Eat. Nap. Love my people. Repeat. And if you ask me… that’s a pretty perfect life. So… are you my forever?   Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Dental, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $425.00 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 18, 2026, 3:33 am
