Jackson is a 14-month-old Husky-Shepherd-Pit bull mix and full of personality: he loves belly rubs, chewing toys, and treats, and will snooze in the car after just a few minutes on the road. Weighing 64 pounds and still very much a puppy at heart, Jackson is a fun, loving, and incredibly smart companion who thrives on mental and physical activity.Jackson is house-trained and will let you know he needs to go out with a signature yip or a nose boop to your hip. He’s crate-trained but also does fine free-roaming the house, as long as he has a dog companion in the house to pal around with. He’s vocal in general, using barks and yips to communicate, so a home with no shared walls (no townhomes/apartments) will be required.After some initial hesitation he gets along beautifully with dogs, cats, and people alike—including kids he’s met in public. He's been socializing all summer with weekly walks around the local pet store and does really well meeting and walking by strangers on 2 legs and 4. He does show some anxiety around very small children, so his future home cannot have children under the age of 5. Jackson lives peacefully with a resident dog and cat, and while he may bark or whine at a cat when he wants to play, he knows how to share space respectfully.This charming boy is a quick learner who loves puzzles, tasks, and figuring things out. He loves gnawing on bones and hard chew toys/treats (but will settle for a toilet paper roll). With his high energy level, he’d love a fenced yard but could do well without one as long as he's given enough enrichment. He will need a doggie partner in the same home to help burn off his energy.Jackson has a slight limp from a previous car accident (he favors his front right leg), but it doesn’t slow him down and doesn’t require ongoing medical treatment.He’s a bright, happy boy who’s eager to please and ready to settle into a forever home! Just look at that smile!April might take a bit of time to gain confidence around new people, but once she does she will be your best friend forever! She understands that her calling in life is to act as her human’s shadow and will go the extra mile in order to not miss out on any action happening at home. She is truly made to be your best friend.April is house trained. It is likely that April used to spend most of her time outdoors, so she may need a bit of guidance as to where the appropriate place to go potty is. She has caught on quickly in her foster home, no accidents! April is also crate trained. She does well in her crate at night and while home alone. Overall, she is the coziest pup who loves fireplaces, heat vents, cozy blankets, cuddling with her humans.While April prefers to see her humans throughout the day, she does well when left home alone and has not been known to vocalize or be destructive. She requires a medium level of activity and is content with a daily walk and plenty of stuffed toys to play with! We adopted Poncho a year ago from our local humane society shelter. We adopted a 10 year old cat shortly before then and had hoped that they'd be able to coexist and be companions in our home together. Poncho is a excitable, cuddly, playful, and curious pup who loves walks, playing with other dogs, and curling up at our feet at the end of the day. He has attended and passed a 4 week basic obedience course (sit,stay, drop, etc commands) and is crate and house potty trained. Unfortunately, our cat and dog have not bonded as we'd hoped and our cats aggressive response to Poncho and his large size make us worried about potential harm coming to either or both at some time. Due to his size and love of people (still working on jumping up on strangers) he is not ideal for a family with young children. Poncho would be perfect for a home with no cats, no children, an ability to take him for a 20 min walk once a day, and willingness to cuddle up with him on the couch at the end of the day.

She is house and crate trained and has excelled at learning basic and intermediate commands with minimal repetition. She has had issues with our existing dog, but that is mostly on our dog. Hobbes may have issues with other dogs. Hobbes is fantastic with people and has done great with children of all ages.
