Meet Chance, a survivor with a heart full of love. His story is sadly familiar; he was abandoned in a field to fend for himself. Thankfully, a kind-hearted lady living nearby stepped in to help. She gave Chance the chance he needed to show just how much love and devotion he had to offer. In his foster home, Chance has proved to be quite the gentleman. He's house-trained and knows how to sit on command. But most importantly, he's a playful guy who thrives in the company of people. His foster mom does say he can be a bit pesky at times, but who can resist that playful spirit? Chance has a list of favorites that will make you smile. He adores playing tug-o-war and FETCH, and he's excellent at taking treats gently. He's an active pup, so he's looking for a family that enjoys adventures and keeping active. If you're ready to open your heart and home to a dog who's been through a lot and is ready to give his all, then Chance is the one. Don't miss the opportunity to make wonderful memories with this loving and loyal companion. Fill out your application today and give Chance the second chance he deserves! Hey Frens! Thanks for stopping on my profile to get to know me....bet it's my gorgeous white coat and perky ears that caught your attention...right...am I right? A little about me: My sister and I were abandoned by my first family next to a busy highway surviving the best we could. Sister Asta (also adoptable) was terribly traumatized so I cared and protected her the best I could. We are incredibly close and stick together. I love adventures and occasional scavenger hunts. So I'm hoping to find an active family to feed my athletic and energetic nature. My favorite thing is to hang out with my foster dad doing projects in the backyard. I'm really a Tomboy in dogs clothes. I like ppl but cautious when I meet them. So, proper introduction is a must. Same goes for other dogs. I'm learning boundaries so I don't overwhelm other dogs around me. Cats are a no. Quick movements and loud noises puts me into action of "what are you doing? A quiet environment and no excitable children till I learn my boundaries. I'm also crate and leash trained. Hopefully you have found me, the new love of your life!!! Apply to adopt me soon!!! Love, Kinsley! Local adoption fee together is $300 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee together is $600 (includes transport to your area and $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)

Story
Meet Rio 'Member that scene from Lady and the Tramp where the dogs are sharing a single spaghetti? It's fake. I know this because no dog in their right tooting mind is going to share a pawsta string when there's an entire heckin meatball on the plate. Next thing you know we will find out that wasn't even pawsta, it was squash impersonating a pawsta :0 Either way, I'd have to have a stunt double for that scene because I do not enjoy sharing my food or treats. Foster Mom is practicing better table manners with me. Sharing is caring. She says. Which is ironical because she's never once so much as offered me even a nibble of her oreo cookies. I litterally look like an Oreo cookie which happens to be my Foster Moms favorite treat. Hint hint, send her a pallet for all the schooling she is doing for me. I LOVE TO TRAIN and Foster Mom says I'm a super fast learner. Indeed, I will do whatever a human wants for a food. I know my name, Rio, plus sit, come, down, come, "rest for cooperative care and a hand target. Speaking of Target, before you pick me up, be sure to stop off and get me lots of fetch toys. Get yourself something pretty too, like some chenille slippers, yeah, for yourself, I pawmise not to touch them. *crosses fingers behind his back* Foster Mom has been working with me on my dog-on-dog skills because I can be a real booger. I need a special kind of dog friend. Her own personal dog Jax is serving as my mentor. Here's what Jax has to say about me "Bruh, calm down. Dude, you need a home with a chill dog that is not easily annoyed. One that won't lash out but will still correct your obnoxiousness and inappropriate play. One that will tolerate your shenanigans. Okay, so you heard that raving review from my buddy ole pal compadre Jax. Note to self, find out what obnoxiousness, tolerate and inappropriate means, because honestly all I heard was chili dog and got hungry while visions of weenies danced in my head. :) Foster Mom did say, I would do best with a sturdy dog, my size or larger. I guess you need to know my size. I'm 30-35 pounds and growing. I'm a ruff and tumble and mouthy player so your dog would have to be more of a rugby than hockey player. I have lots of fans on the internet and they also told me to be sure to mention my floppy ears, my freckled snooter and the fact that my feet most likely smell like frito pie which I'm fairly sure is a compliment. So if it helps to butter you up with compliments, I bet you smell like cheese because I think you're grate! Like most spunky young pups, I get the zoomies when excited. I love to play fetch and tug. I'm working on sharing my toys. I do need lots of approved chew toys such as pig ears. That reminds me, I am not good with cats. Cats are not approved toys. Cats are NOT approved toys. Worth repeating. I am crate trained, pretty much standard pawcedure. I did also try my heck hardest to get Foster Mom to give me driving lessons, so I could add that to my skill list, but she said "No Rio, dogs can't drive. I guess she's never seen a Subaru commercial. I like car rides but I don't enjoy being restrained so we are working on that too. I am loveable and active. Bath time and nail clip time are not a problem. Occasionally I impersonate a potato on the couch, but fun is more my taste. Foster Mom says if you are the type who enjoys entertaining antics and doesn't mind providing extra guidance, you'd be happy as my family. I would be good as an only son, but if you have current dogs that don't mind EXTRA level whippersnappers, that might work too. Foster Mom is a professional trainer and is willing to give you tips on how to make sure I stay on the path to good boy town. I'm excited to go to goodboyville with you as long as there are snacks and pit stops along the way. P.S. You're driving to good boy town, because 'member, Foster Mom wouldn't teach me how to drive. It's beyond her skill set. $250 Local Adoption Fee (in Texas) $500 Out of State Fee (includes transportation to your area)

Captain here, looking for a dog to lead the way? Consider me! I am loyal, goofy, and lots of fun! I can be nervous until we know each other better, but if you lived on the cold/hot hard streets you may be a little wary with new people too. Now, my time at the rescue has really really improved my life and I am SO MUCH more social and outgoing! I am a big, beautiful reddish-tan Pittie/Labrador mix with a white racing stripe down the middle of my chest! Our small canine family came to God's Dogs Rescue in a pickle, a rag tag group of Labradors and one pregnant female! We came to this safe haven with just 3 dogs and now we're a whole lot more! But all of us are now spayed and neutered and READY for furever families who won't leave us to run the streets and starve, we actually have gotten a little chunky, lol and REALLY HAPPY!! As Captain, I'll ensure that you are properly lead and motivated to get your day to day life moving! Well, that's because I need daily walks but besides the point! Some basic information about Captain; he is male, Pitbull/Labrador Retriever mix, and is medium/large-sized boy, at about 60#. A portion of Coco's adoption fee has been sponsored by her friends at The Murray Fund. The adoption fee sponsorship credit of $325.00 will be applied during the contract process Hi, my name is Coco! From the Foster: A typical day with Coco, I am home with Coco all day, with the exception of appointments, errands, etc. After nearly 2 years in our home, Coco has settled in and become a delightful companion dog. She gets along well with, and seems to take cues from, my black lab with a calm temperament. I have modified living arrangements such that the cats are kept separate from her- she seems to have high prey drive and due to limited vision perhaps cant really tell them apart from a squirrel. I had hoped after this long hearing and smelling them, and occasionally seeing them through the gate, she would have become accustomed to them, but alas she is just not a kitty dog. I keep Coco's medication pretty consistent, aiming for 12 hours apart. Coco and Lucy (my resident dog) both sleep on my bed all night. They don't get up until I do, and are great about going right outside and then in to eat and Coco has her oral meds, eye meds, and insulin. She is a champ taking her meds, doesn't resist at all. Throughout the day, Coco and Lucy go between my office and bedroom, taking long naps (they are 9 after all). Coco loves to race outside into the fenced yard with Lucy and search for real or imagined critters. The only thing that deters her is rain! A strange sound or presence will get her raising the alarm, but she settles down quickly and back to her sniffing and taking long luxurious naps in the sun. She may alarm due to her limited vision, but no significant limitations. Coco loves to be where I am, and would rather tag along in the car than be left behind, but thanks to occasional medication and my very mellow black lab, she is feeling more secure and safe as time goes on. She does fine out of the crate in the house, does not chew on unacceptable items, and can wait several hours to go outside. She has never had an accident indoors. Coco loves a long walk, especially a leisurely sniffari. Due to a lot of training, she is not nearly as concerned about other dogs out on walks as she used to be. I try not to get too close for comfort for her, and help her feel safe and confident. SHH can set an adopter up with ongoing training, too. She is pretty stressed, though, if she cant get out of perceived threat area, so instead of dog parks or busy recreation areas, we stick with the familiar neighborhood and a quiet regional nature park. Evenings are super-relaxed. Right after eating their dinner, both pups settle in for reading, watching a movie, or going to bed early. Coco loves to lay on the couch next to a warm body. She isn't a lap dog, not a hugger, but does love to snuggle. Through the course of my veterinary care at The Bond Between it was found that I have diabetes mellitus, hypothyroidism, and mature cataracts. Luckily, my foster and the doctors at The Bond Between and BluePearl took great care of me, and I am now ready to find my forever home! I had surgery for my cataracts, and I can see much better now. Future adopters should know that due to my multiple endocrine diseases, I will need to continue to work with a primary veterinarian, as well as an internal medicine specialist (I am currently under the care of Dr. Mazepa at BluePearl.) To manage my diabetes, my adopter will need to administer insulin everyday, as well as monitor my glucose levels with the guidance of a veterinarian. I am also on medication for my hypothyroidism. It is recommended that discuss with my future vet clinic about recommended follows ups and labwork (CBC, chemistry, UA, Fructosamine and T4).

Story
Hi! My name is Bill and I am from Minnesota. From the foster: Are you a Ted looking for a Bill with whom to have a most excellent adventure?! Party on, dude! Have we got the Bill for you. Bill is a young guy who's ready for all kinds of action. Looking for a hiking partner? Take Bill! Need to do some yard work? Bill will aerate your lawn with daily zoomies! Watching Netflix after a long day? Bill will be your snuggly couch buddy! Unlike his movie counterparts, Bill's not about to flunk out of any classes; he's extremely food motivated and easy to train, and he takes treats gently. He's housebroken and will quickly figure out the bathroom routine at your house (for a treat). He'll give back those socks you left on the floor (for a treat). He'll sit, and lay down, and shake paws (for a treat). With Bill, treats are currency -- and if you run out of treats, affection will do in a pinch. He's a friendly pup who craves all the love and attention you have to spare. And with a noggin like his, Bill's got plenty of real estate for maximum head pats, which he will gladly accept from anyone. The most important rule of an excellent adventure is to be excellent to each other - and when he's set up for success with plenty of space and structure, Bill will be a wonderful addition to your family. He can live in a multi-dog household that is committed to facilitating slow introductions at his pace and willing to give him lots of decompression time and gentle supervision while he perfects his impulse control. Bill's future canine sibling(s) should be easy-going and well-adjusted. He plays rough and rowdy (maybe he was a pro wrestler in a past life) and any other dogs in the household should be able to match that energy, or at least tolerate it. The introduction to his foster's resident dog took several weeks, but now the two rough house together and enjoy tandem walks, and Bill is fully integrated into his foster's lives. Bill doesn't require another canine companion, to be clear - he'd also be a great only pet! (For sure no cats. His fosters have tested that one out for you already.) When it comes to human roommates, older kids only for Bill...he can be a little jumpy and might knock a very small child down in his excitement. Originally picked up by Animal Control as a stray, Bill's life may not always have been an excellent adventure, and he has a few scars on his face to prove it. To overcome the adversity of his unknown history, Bill asks for patience and understanding from his new family. He is skittish about very loud noises and needs a safe, quiet place to retreat when he feels uncomfortable. He must be allowed to eat his meals separate from any other resident dogs. For a medium-sized guy, he pulls surprisingly hard on walks and will benefit from consistent and dedicated leash training. He is very alert to other dogs he sees in the neighborhood but has been receptive to desensitization methods (namely, he's showered with treats when he sees other dogs). Despite a few quirks, Bill has plenty of other tubular traits: he's fully crate trained and non-destructive when given free reign of his foster's first floor while they're at work - although he is still a puppy and has been known to target the usual, tempting suspects in his foster's house (socks, underwear, phone charging chords, etc.). If he grabs something he shouldn't have, he'll readily give it up in exchange for a treat or a toy. He does not display any separation anxiety when left alone during the day. He's active but will also spend hours snoozing on a dog bed. He plays with toys to keep himself entertained. He rides wonderfully in the car. He's eager to please and adorably goofy. Sometimes he barks (especially when he hears the neighborhood dogs), but most often he'll cough or snort or sneeze at unexpected sounds. He'll be absolutely pumped to see you every day when you walk through the door. Bill's just a good dude who's adored by his fosters and has all the most stellar years ahead of him. For Bill, the best place to be is your home, and the best time to be with you is now.

I am looking for a temp foster or forever home! My current foster mom has a surgery scheduled for the end of April and I need to find a temporary foster home for those dates. 4/29-5/27 Please CLICK HERE to sign up to foster! Hi, everyone! My name is Chilli! My foster mom says I am practically *perfect* in every way. I am snuggly, playful, affectionate, gorgeous, house trained, and crate trained! I currently live in an apartment and do well with shared walls! I am a strong girl so need someone who handle me during walks. See?! I told you - practically PERFECT! Which leads me to the word "practically" - I do have one small issue. I take time to trust doggy friends. What does this mean? With slow, proper intros (think 1+ week of baby gates, smells, crate and rotate) I become besties with other dogs. I am SUPER appropriate with other dogs, good at reading their signals, and love to play. But until I trust my fellow pups, I am a "freak on a leash" they say... which means no dog parks, no breweries, no doggy playdates for me! So, do I sound like the perfect pooch for you?! I hope so! I can't wait to find my family!

I am Radio. I am from Minnesota. Radio is a loving boy that is continuing to learn his manners! He is the biggest snuggler and craves long cuddles with belly rubs while binge watching Netflix. Radio loves to chew on his bone for hours, play with toys, spend time sleeping with other dogs, and lives for a good game of tug-a-war with his humans. Now that it is nicer out he enjoys having the freedom to run around the fenced-in backyard and explore as long as he doesn't get too cold. Radio is potty trained on a schedule with an occasional accident if we wait too long, he is starting to give cues at the door when he needs to go outside, and will let you know if he has any emergency overnight. He does well in the kennel when needed with little whining, but it is best to make sure he has a bone to occupy him. He tends to sleep in his kennel overnight unless he is snuggling with a human. Radio gets along well with other dogs of all ages, but he does better with those introductions when the meeting space is not his home. When it is his home the introductions may have to be slower and staggered as he can be a little protective. Radio does well with adults, teens, and school age kids. He has not been around younger kids.

Hi my name is Sir Wigglebottom. I am from a local shelter. From his foster family: We call him Wiggles, Wiggy, or just Puppy. He is the sweetest guy around. He loves other dogs and is very curious about cats. He can be a little rambunctious, but settles down easily and would prefer to be on your lap when doing so. He does not really know what personal space means, but we love every second of it. He is crate trained and potty trained! Although he doesn't have an obvious way of letting you know he has to go outside. Most of the time he will just go halfway to the door and just stare at me so if you aren't paying attention you might miss it. We have not had him in his crate for a few weeks now. He does fine left out for most of the day and loves to snuggle in bed at night. He is still very much a puppy as far as playing rough and can be a little mouthy. We have been working on this, but he still has some growing up to do. He does get startled easily. Loud noises and things like boxes and plastic bags tend to make him a little fearful. He will need some help to build up his confidence, but has already come a long way since we first brought him home. He will definitely keep you entertained and make a wonderful addition to your family. From The Bond Between Vet Center: My name is Sir Wigglebottom. I came into rescue with a skin condition called demodex mange. It's caused by a small parasitic mite. It's been a long road to recovery, but I've recovered amazingly and will be neutered 2/13 and will be ready for my furever home after that! Can't wait to meet you!

Story
Hi there, I'm Precious. They say that I am called this because I am the most precious dog here at God's Dogs Rescue. I came to the rescue in October of 2022 to have a safe place for me to have and raise my puppies. All my puppies were adopted by the end of January 2023, but I am still here looking for my furever home. I am a bigger girl, but this just means there is more of me to cuddle you, because I love cuddling it's one of my top 3 favorite things. 1) Food- I love food and will do almost anything you ask if you have a treat involved. 2) Cuddles- on your lap, on the couch, in the bed wherever there is a comfy space with pillows or a human I want to be there. 3) Kisses- I have a love of giving kisses to people, especially kids. Although not everyone likes it when I try to kiss them and that makes me sad. 4) Honorable mention- I like going on walks or in the car for a ride, although I prefer just lazing around at home. My current fosters say that I am a "house hippo with springs in my feet whatever that means; I just know sometimes, when I get super happy, I feel like I could fly- or jump really high. I love their kids and am very good with them even the tiny ones. I get along with most other dogs I meet, although I have a big personality about me, because I'm a boss, so sometimes other dogs don't like that about me. I tolerate cats although if they give me too much attitude or growl at me, I can't help but to give them piece of my mind. I like most new people I meet although I had a rough start in life so sometimes, I can be a little wary with men, with time though I adjust, and we can become best friends forever. A few more little details about me: I am almost 3 years old I am a Boxer/Shepherd mix I am great with kids I am good with Cats and Dogs I am crate-trained I am housebroken I can be adopted in Texas or anywhere in the US too! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)

Story
When you eat your Thanksgiving turkey- will you think of me?? I will be right next to you trying to get it... NOW will you think of me?? LOL, ok, I kid.... I do love turkey though :) I am Wishbone, and I am a bull terrier/beagle mixed boy with a story to tell! I am so smart like a bull terrier- somewhat stubborn, like a bull terrier, but I follow my NOSE like a beagle! I am super cute, only about 40# and I am pretty active. I love to have a hard playing buddy, no small animals (like kitties) as I have a prey drive- like a bull terrier.. you see where I am going with this, right?? I would love have an active family, kids older than grade school as I love a moving target and smaller ones don't quite understand that. I am a love bug, and once tired out I am the bestest cuddler! So, what are you waiting for? Look me up, take me on adventures when you apply to adopt me! ADOPT, DON'T SHOP!!!! MY LIFE DEPENDS ON IT!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area)
