Hey Frens! Thanks for stopping on my profile to get to know me....bet it's my gorgeous white coat and perky ears that caught your attention...right...am I right? A little about me: My sister and I were abandoned by my first family next to a busy highway surviving the best we could. Sister Asta (also adoptable) was terribly traumatized so I cared and protected her the best I could. We are incredibly close and stick together. I love adventures and occasional scavenger hunts. So I'm hoping to find an active family to feed my athletic and energetic nature. My favorite thing is to hang out with my foster dad doing projects in the backyard. I'm really a Tomboy in dogs clothes. I like ppl but cautious when I meet them. So, proper introduction is a must. Same goes for other dogs. Meet Rio 'Member that scene from Lady and the Tramp where the dogs are sharing a single spaghetti? It's fake. I know this because no dog in their right tooting mind is going to share a pawsta string when there's an entire heckin meatball on the plate. Next thing you know we will find out that wasn't even pawsta, it was squash impersonating a pawsta :0 Either way, I'd have to have a stunt double for that scene because I do not enjoy sharing my food or treats. Foster Mom is practicing better table manners with me. Sharing is caring. She says. Which is ironical because she's never once so much as offered me even a nibble of her oreo cookies. I litterally look like an Oreo cookie which happens to be my Foster Moms favorite treat. Hint hint, send her a pallet for all the schooling she is doing for me. I LOVE TO TRAIN and Foster Mom says I'm a super fast learner. Indeed, I will do whatever a human wants for a food. I know my name, Rio, plus sit, come, down, come, "rest for cooperative care and a hand target. Speaking of Target, before you pick me up, be sure to stop off and get me lots of fetch toys. Get yourself something pretty too, like some chenille slippers, yeah, for yourself, I pawmise not to touch them. *crosses fingers behind his back* Foster Mom has been working with me on my dog-on-dog skills because I can be a real booger. I need a special kind of dog friend. Her own personal dog Jax is serving as my mentor. Here's what Jax has to say about me "Bruh, calm down. Dude, you need a home with a chill dog that is not easily annoyed. One that won't lash out but will still correct your obnoxiousness and inappropriate play. One that will tolerate your shenanigans. Okay, so you heard that raving review from my buddy ole pal compadre Jax. Note to self, find out what obnoxiousness, tolerate and inappropriate means, because honestly all I heard was chili dog and got hungry while visions of weenies danced in my head. :) Foster Mom did say, I would do best with a sturdy dog, my size or larger. I guess you need to know my size. I'm 30-35 pounds and growing. I'm a ruff and tumble and mouthy player so your dog would have to be more of a rugby than hockey player. I have lots of fans on the internet and they also told me to be sure to mention my floppy ears, my freckled snooter and the fact that my feet most likely smell like frito pie which I'm fairly sure is a compliment. So if it helps to butter you up with compliments, I bet you smell like cheese because I think you're grate! Like most spunky young pups, I get the zoomies when excited. I love to play fetch and tug. I'm working on sharing my toys. I do need lots of approved chew toys such as pig ears. That reminds me, I am not good with cats. Cats are not approved toys. Cats are NOT approved toys. Worth repeating. I am crate trained, pretty much standard pawcedure. I did also try my heck hardest to get Foster Mom to give me driving lessons, so I could add that to my skill list, but she said "No Rio, dogs can't drive. I guess she's never seen a Subaru commercial. I like car rides but I don't enjoy being restrained so we are working on that too. I am loveable and active. Bath time and nail clip time are not a problem. Occasionally I impersonate a potato on the couch, but fun is more my taste. Foster Mom says if you are the type who enjoys entertaining antics and doesn't mind providing extra guidance, you'd be happy as my family. I would be good as an only son, but if you have current dogs that don't mind EXTRA level whippersnappers, that might work too. Foster Mom is a professional trainer and is willing to give you tips on how to make sure I stay on the path to good boy town. Rosalie loves being held and snuggled, and will do great with a family that loves their pets curled up right next to them! (Or on them!) She loves belly rubs, playing chase, and is doing great at puppy pad training! Rosalie is great at listening to the cues of the senior, resident dog! She loves her, and also respect her space when she needs a break, and this good girl don’t test her patience. Rosalie is estimated to be 4 months old and 18 lbs. Since we don’t know the dog’s actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested. Welcome Tucker to CCPAL Rescue Foster Program. Tucker is a 1-year-old Pitbull dog. He was found as a stray on the construction site and a wonderful good Samaritan found him and is fostering him until he finds his forever home. His hair is super soft and his is gushy sweet. He warms up slow to new people and is very bonded and loyal to his human. He has an adorable underbite. He would be willing to wear outfits and hats if it is what his human wanted. He is great on leash and doesn’t pull and he is good in a car. He doesn’t shed and is a very very clean boy. He likes to keep his feet clean and really manages to stay out of any messes other dogs would normally get into. He is good in his crate and he is potty trained. He currently lives with other dogs but he is jealous of attention. His best home would really be where he can be the only dog and get all the snuggles from his family. I think a quieter home over the family that has a loud bustling group of people in it. He would be perfect for the single woman or man who would like a companion animal to walk, jog hike or cuddle with. He doesn’t need lots of exercise for happiness. He is an inside dog and loves to be in the house next to his person. He can stay in his crate while you work. He can also be trusted outside his crate. Welcome Ebony Ann to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 10-year-old Pit Bull mixed dog. Ebony Ann spent 6 years at Lytle Animal Care and Control. The Animal Control Officers loved her and hid her from euthanasia every time they were over crowded due to her very sweet personality. This time she was at the end of her very long rope. She called Lytle home and they were pleading for a rescue to take her to give her a chance at her forever home. CCPAL answered that call. She is good with male dogs, great on a leash, potty trained and loves car rides. 10 year old beauty. Good with all people, kennel trained, leash trained, affectionate and friendly with male dogs. She would be perfect for an older couple looking for a walking companion and one that would allow her to go in the car places. She would be great for a truck driver as a companion dog. She has a little growth on her bum but we would use her adoption fee to remove it. The vet has looked at it and says it is only a cosmetic procedure and does not cause pain and is not an issue for this dog. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally. Not only am I a stunning, confident young adult female Pit Bull but foster mom says that I’m the sweetest wild child ever! It’s true too…I may be deaf but I’m a funny, rambunctious girl who loves to have fun and shower my people with endless love!! At home, my favorite activities include wrestling & romping with my fur sibs, gazing out the window watching (and saying hello to) the passersby, jumping from one piece of furniture to another (hee, hee), and taking short naps in my favorite chair. What about Kongs you ask?? Well, I’m a Kong fanatic of course, and I will spend lots of time making sure it’s completely clean before moving on to my next adventure. Oh yeah, and if you really want to make me smile just bring out the toys…I’m not picky! Hee, hee!! I’m cautious in new environments but I warm up quickly and when I’m away from home, I’m quite the showstopper if I do say so myself! I love greeting new people and they love greeting me just as much! Sure, I’m still working on my ‘adulting’ in this area, but with patience and more training I will be a great 'bring anywhere' companion. Hint, hint!! I am good with kids, but I have a high prey drive so cats are not a good fit for me. Additionally, although I’m good with other dogs, I have a LOT of energy and can play a bit rough so smaller dogs may also not be a good fit. Potty training on a schedule is going nicely; I do fine on the leash; and I’m crate trained. I do, however, get a bit anxious in the crate if my people need to leave so foster mom makes sure I have a Kong then she covers the kennel before she leaves. I’m a smart lady who knows commands like “sit”, “come”, and “kennel/crate” but since I’m unable to hear anything, I need my people to use special training techniques to help me learn. Please don't let my inability to hear scare you…deaf dogs are just like any other dog when it comes to learning new tricks & routines. In fact, I am currently learning hand signals for basic commands and not only am I slowly but surely catching on, but foster mom gives me LOTS of ‘thumbs-ups’ to let me know that I am the best girl EVER! Anyway, I am a brave, curious, absolute sweetheart who is simply looking for YOU…a very patient, unconditionally loving fur-ever family that will NEVER give up on me. Hi there, I'm Precious. They say that I am called this because I am the most precious dog here at God's Dogs Rescue. I came to the rescue in October of 2022 to have a safe place for me to have and raise my puppies. All my puppies were adopted by the end of January 2023, but I am still here looking for my furever home. I am a bigger girl, but this just means there is more of me to cuddle you, because I love cuddling it's one of my top 3 favorite things. 1) Food- I love food and will do almost anything you ask if you have a treat involved. 2) Cuddles- on your lap, on the couch, in the bed wherever there is a comfy space with pillows or a human I want to be there. 3) Kisses- I have a love of giving kisses to people, especially kids. Although not everyone likes it when I try to kiss them and that makes me sad. 4) Honorable mention- I like going on walks or in the car for a ride, although I prefer just lazing around at home. My current fosters say that I am a "house hippo with springs in my feet whatever that means; I just know sometimes, when I get super happy, I feel like I could fly- or jump really high. I love their kids and am very good with them even the tiny ones. I get along with most other dogs I meet, although I have a big personality about me, because I'm a boss, so sometimes other dogs don't like that about me. I tolerate cats although if they give me too much attitude or growl at me, I can't help but to give them piece of my mind. I like most new people I meet although I had a rough start in life so sometimes, I can be a little wary with men, with time though I adjust, and we can become best friends forever. A few more little details about me: I am almost 3 years old I am a Boxer/Shepherd mix I am great with kids I am good with Cats and Dogs I am crate-trained I am housebroken I can be adopted in Texas or anywhere in the US too! When you eat your Thanksgiving turkey- will you think of me?? I will be right next to you trying to get it... NOW will you think of me?? LOL, ok, I kid.... I do love turkey though :) I am Wishbone, and I am a bull terrier/beagle mixed boy with a story to tell! I am so smart like a bull terrier- somewhat stubborn, like a bull terrier, but I follow my NOSE like a beagle! I am super cute, only about 40# and I am pretty active. I love to have a hard playing buddy, no small animals (like kitties) as I have a prey drive- like a bull terrier.. you see where I am going with this, right?? I would love have an active family, kids older than grade school as I love a moving target and smaller ones don't quite understand that. I am a love bug, and once tired out I am the bestest cuddler!
