Brisket is a 1 year an 10 month old that we adopted in October 2025. We adopted him from Ruff Start Rescue. He was a stray in Texas before going to Minnesota. It is unknown if he had owners before us. He loves to be outside, to cuddle and be around his humans. He loves to play fetch and laying on the grass catching some sun. His new family should have a backyard for him to explore and play in. He had four weeks of obedience training where he graduated. He knows sit, wait, place, name recall and stay. He is still working on his lease walking. He is very food motivated and a quick learner. He is house trained but may have accidents while he settles in. He has a kennel that he sleeps in each night. He uses his kennel as a relaxing and calm space rather than a negative one. Unfortunately, he and our other dog have started to not get along and has become unsafe for both of them. Aggression occurs where they needed to be separated. Brisket should be the only dog in the household. Cats ok

Meet Finn, a Pit Bull born approx 12/2/24. Finn is a BIG, loyal boy with so much love (and kisses) to give. He is house trained and accustomed to a home with a fully fenced yard and an oversized dog door. Finn is also kennel trained, and his XL kennel can go with him to his forever home. Finn has had basic obedience training and would benefit from continued training to help build his confidence. He walks reasonably well on a leash, but due to his size, additional leash work will help him become an even better walking companion. He rides quietly in the car but can be nervous when getting in and during rides, so he’ll need a patient owner to help him feel more comfortable. At home, Finn is a wonderful mix of calm and cuddly, with bursts of playful energy. He loves attention and can get especially excited when meeting new people or after spending a few hours alone. Finn has been around both dogs and cats; he generally does well with other dogs but may be a bit too energetic for older or more laid-back companions. He may also chase cats. Hi I’m Anne! My family says I am the sweetest girl :) My favorite thing is to curl up in a cozy spot (preferably somebody’s bed) and take a nap. I also like to play with my toys, but I have to be careful because I have a heart condition and if I play too hard or get too excited, I have mini seizures that cause me to lose my balance and tip over. In more severe situations, I could experience a more serious seizure-like episode. I’m super sweet and gentle. I do well in and out of my crate and have only had a few accidents. My family has left me alone for up to seven hours and I have done just fine. I love meeting new people, but I’m not so sure about dogs. I can be around them, but if they get too close I might let them know. But my family thinks that with some training, I might be able to make some friends and maybe even live with other dogs. I also love riding in the car! I like staring out the window, and then when I am bored of that, I like to curl up in the back seat and take a nap. I know my basic commands, but my family says I’m stubborn because I don’t always like to listen when they call my name and they want my attention. They also say I’m being dramatic when I give them my pouty eyes. I do okay on walks, but I need to use a harness since I do like to wander and explore and of course if I see a squirrel, rabbit, or another dog, I want to get a closer look! I would do best with someone who likes to lay around with me and understands my physical limitations. Due to my heart condition, it is hard to predict how much time I have left, but I hope to find someone who is willing to love me anyway! We "rescued" a 5 month old puppy where he was living outside and in the basement. We believe that he was abused by the Adult Male due to his cowaring away from him . The puppy was unsupervised with their 3 children under 5. We wanted to get him out and safe. We have 2 resident dogs and one has regressed tremendously in her resource guarding since the puppy has been here. My husband's route changed unexpectedly and he will be working longer hours. I know that I won't be able to handle her resource guarding and a puppy. Louie is precious, loving, smart, and loves his people. He is a puppy and everything that comes with having a puppy. He is incredibly smart and eager to please. Does well with a harness and leash, needs to work on manners. The information that was provided was that he was the result of an "accidental litter", his mom belongs to her cousin and is a "genetically tested and verified" American Bully, and dad was either a boxer or pitbull who belonged to a neighbor.

They are great with other dogs, and people, but cats are unknown. All dogs and puppies require supervision and training. Do you love goofy puppy antics and cuddles? How about a dog that is sometimes scared by his own bark? Maybe you need a constant shadow who is always up for snacks? Look no further than our sweet Rip. This boy has a happy go lucky attitude with just the right amount of chaos goblin. Rip is fully potty trained and doesn't mind his crate. He is always up for an adventure or a ride in the car, but settles in nicely when the fun is over. Rip will do well in any type of home and has been great with the children in his foster home (9 and 12 years old). He is working on his puppy manners but learns quickly especially when treats are involved. You would never know it, but Rip has a diagnosis of Discospondylitis, and is currently under treatment which involves medicine that he takes easily with his food. His treatment plan includes an MRI (which Matty's is fundraising for) and continued meds, but his prognosis for a long, healthy life is good! Rip loves other dogs and does well with his spicy foster sister. He has never met a stranger and has perfected the "Pittie Lean". Sticks don't stand a chance and stuffies are a favorite to destroy. His quirky, fun personality has us laughing daily. He currently weighs about 55 lbs, but believes he is a lap dog, so prepare yourself for the snuggles. He has mastered "Sit" and "Boop", and is coming along on the other basic commands. He settles in nicely and makes your house his home, always eager to be near his humans, but content to rest when needed. He really is that perfect mix of active and lazy; perfect for a busy family looking to add 4 paws.
