Story
Kaia Bear is one special lady, searching for her special family! This darling 8-year-old Cattle Dog mix is ready to set off on her new adventure. And she hopes it involves hiking and exploring! Kaia Bear is a big fan of being outside, sniffing all there is to sniff, feeling the sun on her fur, and getting her steps in. Not only does she make an amazing adventure buddy, but Kaia Bear bonds strongly to her people and makes an amazing best friend and cuddle buddy to keep you company at home. Kaia Bear enjoys sitting in her person's lap, getting pets, and playing fetch with tennis balls. And of course, showing off her cool tricks! Kaia Bear can be selective with other dogs and does better with mellow male dogs. She will likely do best and be easiest to manage being the only dog in the home. Kaia Bear needs a home without cats or other small animals. Kaia Bear is looking for a quiet, adult only home with a fenced yard (no apartments, please) she can zoom around and sunbathe in. If you think Kaia Bear may be your match, reach out to us today! Kaia Bear's adoption fee is waived in thanks to a generous donor and our Pay it Forward program. **Kaia Bear's adoption process is a little different than our usual process. She will need several meet and greets (both in shelter and at your home) before going home to stay. Please email adoption@homewardpet.org if you're interested in learning more about Kaia Bear!**

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org Calling All Senior Dog Lovers and Hospice Heroes… Molly Needs You 💕 Meet Molly – an 11–12 year old, 73-pound (slightly overweight - ideal 55-60ish lbs) bundle of pure, gentle love who will look at you like she’s peering straight into your soul. Molly is the kind of dog who lives for her people. If you stop petting her, she’ll politely place a paw on your arm as a friendly reminder that your job isn’t finished yet. If that doesn’t work, she’ll gently nose your hand like, “Excuse me… more love, please.” She follows her humans from room to room, happy just to be near you. Wherever you are, that’s exactly where Molly wants to be. She’s wonderful with other dogs, especially smaller, mellow pals, and she’s also great with cats. She’s fully housebroken, not destructive in the house, and is truly an easy, low-maintenance girl. A perfect family dog… and the world’s worst watchdog. Seriously. Pet her once and you can have anything you want. Scratch her ears and she might even help you load it into the car. Molly still gets the happy dance when you come home, like it’s the best moment of her entire day. She’s a little hard of hearing now, but she can still pick up certain tones—and she has no problem hearing the sound of a treat bag magically opening from across the house. Like many older gals, Molly has a few lumps and bumps. Sadly, the vet believes the mass on her shoulder is likely cancerous. Because of her age and its location, surgery isn’t recommended. The kindest plan is to let her live out her remaining time comfortable, cherished, and completely spoiled – exactly what she deserves. Molly recently lost her beloved mom, and through no fault of her own, she also lost her home. Her family was heartbroken and wants nothing more than to see her spend her golden years safe and loved again. Despite all the changes, Molly has remained the same incredibly sweet, good-natured girl and has settled beautifully into foster care. She just misses having her very own person. All Molly asks for is simple: • gentle pets • maybe a treat or three • a soft cushy doggie bed - she doesn't get on the furniture • and someone to keep company She would be a perfect companion for a retiree or someone who works from home. She’s an excellent listener, a loyal shadow, and a professional attention hound. If you have a soft spot for senior dogs—or if you’ve ever thought about opening your heart to a hospice pup—Molly would be endlessly grateful to spend her days loving you back. Sometimes the best dogs need the gentlest landings. And Molly? She is one of the very best. Apply today at haydudeequine.org and spend your days being adored!!

Story
Animal Information: Winston and his siblings Waylon and Winnie were surrendered to Haven Humane Society at one week old and rescued by one of our California partners. They have grown up in a home with dogs, cats, kids, horses and other livestock. Mama was only 40lbs, but we don't know who dad was. These puppies are friendly, playful and so very sweet.  Foster Profile: Winston (who we call Kip)  is truly one of the sweetest dogs you’ll ever meet—a total love bug who lives for cuddles and closeness. He has a calm, gentle nature and would thrive in a home with other dogs, animals, and kids. He’s not much of a barker and isn’t easily startled, making him an easy, steady presence in the home.  He is also incredibly smart and eager to please—he genuinely wants to be a “good boy.” In just one afternoon, he learned how to go into his crate on command, as well as sit and lie down. For a five-month-old puppy, he has a wonderful balance of calm and playful energy. He loves zooming around the yard, especially during a game of frisbee, complete with the cutest floppy, sideways run.  Like any growing puppy, he is currently teething, so hard chews and frozen treats are his best friends right now. With his sweet temperament, quick learning, and affectionate nature, he is going to make an incredible companion for a very lucky family. A home with a securely fence yard and a canine compaion would be ideal. We are not considering apartments for him at this time. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter (on contract, if applicable), core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian. Adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization (ID 81-5101166). Apply Online: www.doggoneseattle.org/adoption-application Animal History: This dog was transferred from Forever Home Dog Rescue in Edmonds, WA. They will be available for adoption in the greater Seattle area once evaluated in foster care.February 7, 2026, 2:42 pm

Animal Profile: Meet Joey! Joey and his siblings are 12 week old, Cattle Dog/Aussie mix puppies who were surrendered to our incredible  rescue partner Saving Shelter Strays. He  is in a loving TX foster home while waiting for his ride to the PNW and is healthy and thriving. Foster Update:  Joey is a smart, friendly, curious puppy who loves making friends, playing, and exploring the world. Soft like a bunny, with a heart-shaped marking on his head, this cute, chonky baby enjoys snuggles and being carried--but is also passionate about running, playing chase with friends, learning new games, and chaotic puppy zoomies. A social butterfly, he likes dogs of all sizes, cats, and people, and plays with a variety of different toys. Joey is already mastering fetch and doing excellent with his potty training, crate training, and basic commands. Because he's energetic and smart, Joey is looking for a home that can meet his lifetime needs for both physical and mental activity. He enjoys learning new things and as an adult will likely do well in dog sports such as agility. He has quickly learned the household routines in his foster home and is doing well as a home-office dog. This good boy has a lifetime of joy, fun, and adventure to bring to the right home. Joey will do best in an active home preferably with a secure fenced yard.  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575, which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip, negative heartworm test if over 6 months, and health certificate. Your donation may be tax deductible as DG is a 501c3 organization. There’s a gentle, thoughtful quality about her that makes everyone she meets fall a little bit in love. She’s wonderfully social and has gotten along beautifully with every dog she’s met, and she’s always eager to make new friends, both canine and human. Winnie is doing fantastic with potty training on a consistent schedule, is comfortable in her crate, and sleeps peacefully through the night. She rides well in the car and has shown a remarkably gentle demeanor, even when spending time with a toddler. This girl would thrive in a family that appreciates large breed dogs. She would be perfectly happy as an only dog or with a canine sibling to share her days. If you’re looking for a kind, affectionate companion with a heart full of love, Winnie is ready to grow up by your side.  Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575 which includes spay/neuter (on contract, if applicable), core vaccinations Rabies and DPPV per AVMA standards, any indicated preventative care, microchip with lifetime registration, and recent health check with a veterinarian.
