HI - I'M MURRAY! I'm an affectionate, happy and loving 2-year-old Shepherd / Australian Cattle Dog mix, in need of a new foster or forever home! I was rescued from a California shelter in the nick of time. I get along great with other dogs (I want to kiss almost every dog I meet!). So far I've also done fine with cats, and I love, love, love people. I am a cheerful, friendly and affectionate - I love to cuddle - and I will thrive with an active person or people, as I love to go on walks (I am a very easy and good walker on leash). I love to run and play, go for hikes and be active myself! l am very intelligent and eager to place. Like all young dogs, I could use just some basic training. I'm a very fast learner! I have enormous potential - I could be an agility dog champion! I would do best in a home with a single person, a couple or a family with older kids (no toddlers due to my bounciness). I would also love a fenced yard though it's not a must. One thing is for sure - I'm super loving and affectionate, and will be your best friend, through thick and thin. I weigh about 55 lbs. FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED: Meet Sundae! She is loyal, happy, has boundless energy, is incredibly smart and is alert and wary of strangers. This girl is a herding breed dog who would love a home outside of the city on acreage where she can have a job to do. She is not for the sedentary dog owner. She loves to walk the perimeter of her property and in typical herding dog fashion will redirect people and alert them once she's familiar with her boundaries. Due to her herding breed, she has an irresistible impulse to herd, anything: cars, dogs, kids, etc. so an adult only home would be best for her. Sundae bonds deeply with her person and can be protective of them. She will need to be in a home where there is strong leadership. She can be reactive or show guarding behavior in stressful situations that she feels are 'threatening' to her person. She can also redirect in these situations or when displaying her herding instincts. She will need a firm hand and strong supervision when there is a lot of stimulation. She has her challenges, but she is incredibly loving and loyal to her people. She is spayed, current on her shots and micro-chipped. Her adoption fee is $150.

Despite his rough start in life, he is a great example of how dogs live in the moment, and he is a sweet boy with a good disposition. He would love an active family who will take him for walks and on adventures. He can be a strong puller but walks pretty well on a leash with an easy walk harness. He is a sweet boy who knows basic obedience and takes treats gently. Bowie has done well with other dogs in our care but can be excitable when meeting other dogs so a neutral dog in the home would be best or he would be fine as an only dog as well. He would love a home with a securely fenced yard for him to run, play and lounge around. Bowie is up-to-date on his vaccinations, neutered and microchipped. His adoption fee is $450.
