He can be shy to start in new situations, but warms up well into his normal active self. He can be a little mischievous but genuinely wants to please people. He has gotten along well with the dogs he has been buddied up with here, and adores playing with them all. Cats are an unknown with him. He is very smart and has been working on his basic skills. He crates well, but will need a sturdy crate. We can’t wait to find him a home that loves him like we do! Ryders adoption donation is $400 to help cover his transport, daily care, neuter, vaccines, etc. Most dogs require a fenced yard. We seek fully fenced yards with a physical, visible fence. Typically, the fence must be connected to the house/ a door in the home, and the dog safe fenced area must exclude driveway and car access. Shock/electronic fences will not be approved for most dogs. A sturdy, high quality crate is also required (due to safety concerns, no wire or soft crates will be accepted. Impact, Ruffland, 4 point contact locking door Skyline, Zinger Winger, etc type crate). This sweet boy has an estimated DOB of October 2022, and is guessed to possibly be aussie and shepherd mix. Rivers is highly intelligent, and like most very smart young dogs, will test your consistency. He knows basic commands like sit, wait, crate, here and walks on lead but still need polish.Due to his age and intelligence level he will require someone with clear communication and consistent positive reinforcement training and language. He loves to learn and he likes to be with you. Rivers loves other dogs he knows, and plays well. He does very low alert on strange dogs or people but is very easy to redirect for guidance and an appropriate intro. He is amazingly cute with his natural stubby tail and double dew claws. This dog requires a crate when not supervised and mandatory 6 foot fence. He can climb a 4 foot fence. He is a joy to be around and is made of love, loyalty, and smarts. Hi, just call me Bubbles,I'm calm, shy, and super affectionate once I trust you. I didn't always know kindness--my brother and I were found in the middle of nowhere, hungry, scared, and running from everyone. It took time and patience, but I finally learned to feel safe and loved. Now I enjoy walks, playing with other dogs, and napping in the sun. I'm still a little reserved at first, but once I feel comfortable, I'll be right by your side, ready for cuddles and belly rubs. I'd love a home with another friendly dog, a yard to relax in, and people--especially kids--who are gentle and kind. I do best with company and wouldn't be happy left alone for long. Meet Marshall! Marshall – He is thought to be around 11, and is quite a low energy, easy-going guy. He is super friendly, loves affection, but isn’t quite as insistent about it as Lexie. He will win you over quickly with his sweet face and calm demeanor.   Lexie and Marshall (Lexie is also on our website), are quite bonded and have lived together their whole lives. They were not fed properly and were infested with fleas. The owner rehomed them and nobody knows what happened next, but they were found wandering, starving, and Marshall had a face and mouth full of porcupine quills. Lexie and Marshall get along with each other very well, and even still play together. They lived with 3 indoor/outdoor cats, and both walk well on a leash. We would love to see them in a home together, but if they need to be separated in order to find a home, we will consider that too.    Marshall is vaccinated, neutered and chipped. Her adoption fee is $250 We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life!
