Story
Meet Clark! Clark is an adorable and sweet Blue Heeler that is approximately 3-5 years old. He has typical dense heeler fur that he loves to have you scratch. He loves attention and can be ok with other dogs but would prefer to be an only dog. He has been exposed to cats and will leave them alone. He is not recommended for homes with small children because he can be protective of his food, treats, and people. He is overall just a sweet, cuddly, friendly, and fun little guy once he warms up to his person / people. It will take time for him to adjust in his new home so his new people need to be patient and loving. If you are looking for an only dog to be your bestest snuggle buddy, please submit an application at forrescue.net He is fostered in the Huntsville, AL area and any potential adopter must meet him here.

Story
My name is Hukarere, but friends call me Zaya! I`m a super sweet energetic girl, and I`m house-trained and crate-trained. I love to make new friends and make my people laugh! True to my breed, I like to herd people, and would do best in a home without young children or cats. I like other dogs but would do best not living with them as I don`t always like to share my humans. You can also watch for stories, pictures and videos about me on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/40103261297/ Ask to meet me today!!Adoption fee: $375All dogs/puppies have been fully vetted including spay/neuter, micro-chipping, worming, heartworm testing and preventative treatment, flea/tick preventative, and all required age appropriate vaccinations. Story
About Me: Name: Bootsie Breed (or best guess): Heeler or Kelpie mix Approximate Age: 2 yr Gender: Female Approximate Weight: 30 lb Adoption Fee: $495 Requirements: Loving Family Why In Rescue: Owner Surrender Profile:  Bootsie is in a foster home as she was very scared at the shelter.  We have learned that she really prefers men over women, and likes dogs better than people.  She is very well trained.  Walks great on a leash and is housetrained.  Bootsie will need a patient adopter especially for the first couple weeks of getting used to a new home.  She has tons of potential, just needs to learn how to interact with people instead of just other dogs. Bootsie was a well loved girl in her family but when a family member passed away some of the dogs in the home needed to find new homes.  Bootsie is a smart girl that knows some commands and tricks, but she  is shy and sad to be in a shelter.  With some time in a home, we are sure she will flourish.  We don't know how she is with children, but did live with a variety of other dogs. She seems to know how to walk on a leash and tries to keep her kennel clean.  If interested in Bootsie, please fill out the preadoption application. We do put the needs of the dog's first, so it is nothing personal if we determine a particular dog isn't suitable for your specific home and living situation. If considering adopting a former breeding dog, the following article is good to read to help you understand the special needs these dogs may have.  http://nowisconsinpuppymills.com/mill-survivors.html If interested in adoption, the first step is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  If link isn't clickable, please copy/paste or visit http://www.bichonrescues.com.  Please note, filling out inquiry forms on Petfinder or Adoptapet and/or their application forms does not constitute an application for one of our dogs.  Priority in responding to inquires and applications is always to the applications filled out on our website, time constraints limit the number of other inquires we can reply to. We do our best to evaluate the dogs while they are with us, but they sometimes act different in the shelter environment than they do in a home.  Many times we do not know the actual breed/mix or age of the dog, in that case we use our best guess as to breed and age.   We are located in Mukwonago, WI.  Adopters must come to us, we do not ship our dogs.  Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to adopt.  Once an application is approved you will be notified by email to make an appointment to meet the dog.  All dogs are seen by appointment only. The adoption fee through Bichon and Little Buddies Rescue is $495 for most adults and up to $650 for puppies which includes Wi State Sales Tax.  Included in this fee is your new companion who will be spayed/neutered, have a current Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (as required by state law), current on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested (if old enough) and started on preventative, microchipped, and given a general wormer.  Other medical needs will also have been taken care of, such as dentals and treating ear infections.  To assist you and your new pet in adjusting to life together, you may chose to take an 8 week age appropriate obedience training course at For Pet's Sake Dog Training in Mukwonago, WI for $100 (up to $260 value).  You may opt to take Puppy Kindergarten, Adult Beginners, or Small Dogs Big Hearts.  You must register for the class within 90 days of adoption for the reduced fee.  For more information on the classes visit www.forpetssake.cc  More important information: ***We are a Wisconsin based rescue and do not ship our pets.  If you are considering adoption you must be willing to drive to meet and adopt the pet, as well as bring the pet back to us if the adoption doesn't work.  We adopt primarily in WI and IL, but will consider applicants in MN, IA, and MI.*** ***Please do not set up an appointment to meet the animals until you are ready to take your pet home.  If the meeting results in a match, you can often take the dog/cat home the same day or within a couple days if the medical care hasn't been completed.  We are not able to hold pets for adopters beyond this time.  Thanks for understanding.*** ***While we hope all of our adoptions lead to permanent homes for the animals we place, sometimes things just don't work out.  We do have a 30 day trial period.  For the first 30 days, if you or Bichon and Little Buddies decide that the adoption isn't a good match for either the humans or the pet, the adoption fee will be refunded minus $100 within 30 days of the return of the dog.  Bichon and Little Buddies also requires adopters to return the pet to us at any time that they are unable or unwilling to care for the animal anymore.*** ***We do not show dogs without an appointment.  The first step in adoption is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  Please do not call/email until AFTER you have filled out an application.*** Bichon and Little Buddies is a State Licensed Rescue # 268555-DS November 20, 2025, 4:19 pm

Story
Sydney is a tri-colored 6-7 year old female miniature Aussie. She has been spayed and weighs 28 pounds. She still needs to be vetted. Sydney is housebroken, walks good on the leash, gets along well with cats and dogs. She has not been around kids that she knows of. Sydney is not crate trained and the owner does not allow her to sleep on the bed with her. She does not have a fenced in yard but is used to being tether in order to spend free time outdoors. The reason for the surrender is that the Mom found out her daughter that has a mental illness was living in her car with Sydney and rescued the dog. She is unable to care for the dog at this time. The dog is located in Antioch, IL. In search of a foster or furever home ASAP. Please reach out to Becky Daniels (571)641-7830 or becky.daniels512@gmail.com Adoption fee of $550 required.

Story
My name is Bandit but my foster mom calls him Nugget is 11 lbs.  I love to play also but I am also very happy just sitting on your lap or next to you and observe.  I love giving kisses. My brother's name is Smokey but my foster mom calls me Scout (the one with white on the back of my neck), I weigh 11 lbs and I am very investigative.   As you can see we are small but can hold our own even with the big dogs. Our father was Mini Australian Shepherd and mom was a Jack Russell Terrier. We love to go for walks on the leash in the neighborhood to explore. We are between 4 and 5 months old. Smokey/Scout: I love to play and check things out!  I give kisses when you catch me.  I can also be a little bit sneaky, so if there is a big enough hole I am brave and will slip right through there to explore! Check us out, we would love to find our forever home! We are located in Gurnee IL. We are up to date on our vetting plus neuter set for Oct 23rd. Adoption fee is $ 600.   each with discount if you are interested in both. If you are interested in adopting please go to tinypawssmalldogrescue.org and fill out an adoption application.
