Story
Lance is an adorable 2.5 month old mixed breed male puppy. He weighs about 13 pounds. We would expect him to be medium to large size when fully grown. He has a beautiful golden and brown coat. Lance is a fun pup who loves people, other dogs, cats, and loves to play. Lance has been working hard on potty training, but being that he is just a young puppy, his new family should be prepared for a few accidents while he learns the routine at his new home in WI. He is up to date on vaccines, dewormed and microchipped, and he comes with his medical records and interstate health certificate from a veterinary examination prior to leaving Texas, which certifies him to be in good condition. He is being fostered in Muskego, WI. His adoption fee is $500, which will be used to support the many animals in our care whose medical bills far surpass their much lower adoption fee. If you’re not already familiar with our group, please feel free to visit our Group Page at https://www.facebook.com/groups/TxRescueRidersCommunity If you are serious about this pup, please contact us at DogTrailRides@gmail.com. We take payments through Zelle, Venmo, or CashApp, or we can take card numbers over the phone and process them through Square. All of these methods provide a receipt. Thank you for supporting our efforts to bring Texas dogs north to loving homes! You can read more about us at https://facebook.com/TxRescueRiders (Texas Rescue Riders). Also feel free to join our Group Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/groups/TxRescueRidersCommunity (Texas Rescue Riders Community) where members can post directly. We cannot guarantee breed or age. We assign breed and age designations based on veterinary advice and information from the prior owner.

Story
About Me: Name: Maeve and Mauve Breed (or best guess): Mini Aussie and Heeler mix Approximate Age: 12 weeks Gender: Female Approximate Weight: 6 lb Adoption Fee: $600 each Requirements: willingness to train an active breed puppy Why In Rescue: breeder surrender Profile:  Mauve the tri-color pup is still available.  Maeve and Mauve are each now looking for homes of their own.  An active family would be best for one of these cute girls.  They haven't lived in a home yet, and are babies, so will need work on housetraining, walking on a leash, and all the other puppy things.  In return you will get a lifetime of love!  Apply now for one of these girls, and we will set up an appointment for you to meet them. We do put the needs of the dog's first, so it is nothing personal if we determine a particular dog isn't suitable for your specific home and living situation. If considering adopting a former breeding dog, the following article is good to read to help you understand the special needs these dogs may have.  http://nowisconsinpuppymills.com/mill-survivors.html If interested in adoption, the first step is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  If link isn't clickable, please copy/paste or visit http://www.bichonrescues.com.  Please note, filling out inquiry forms on Petfinder or Adoptapet and/or their application forms does not constitute an application for one of our dogs.  Priority in responding to inquires and applications is always to the applications filled out on our website, time constraints limit the number of other inquires we can reply to. We do our best to evaluate the dogs while they are with us, but they sometimes act different in the shelter environment than they do in a home.  Many times we do not know the actual breed/mix or age of the dog, in that case we use our best guess as to breed and age.   We are located in Mukwonago, WI.  Adopters must come to us, we do not ship our dogs.  Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to adopt.  Once an application is approved you will be notified by email to make an appointment to meet the dog.  All dogs are seen by appointment only. The adoption fee through Bichon and Little Buddies Rescue is $450 for most adults and up to $650 for puppies which includes Wi State Sales Tax.  Included in this fee is your new companion who will be spayed/neutered, have a current Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (as required by state law), current on age appropriate vaccinations, heartworm tested (if old enough) and started on preventative, microchipped, and given a general wormer.  Other medical needs will also have been taken care of, such as dentals and treating ear infections.  To assist you and your new pet in adjusting to life together, you may chose to take an 8 week age appropriate obedience training course at For Pet's Sake Dog Training in Mukwonago, WI for $75 (up to $230 value).  You may opt to take Puppy Kindergarten, Adult Beginners, or Small Dogs Big Hearts.  You must register for the class within 90 days of adoption for the reduced fee.  For more information on the classes visit www.forpetssake.cc  More important information: ***We are a Wisconsin based rescue and do not ship our pets.  If you are considering adoption you must be willing to drive to meet and adopt the pet, as well as bring the pet back to us if the adoption doesn't work.  We adopt primarily in WI and IL, but will consider applicants in MN, IA, and MI.*** ***Please do not set up an appointment to meet the animals until you are ready to take your pet home.  If the meeting results in a match, you can often take the dog/cat home the same day or within a couple days if the medical care hasn't been completed.  We are not able to hold pets for adopters beyond this time.  Thanks for understanding.*** ***While we hope all of our adoptions lead to permanent homes for the animals we place, sometimes things just don't work out.  We do have a 30 day trial period.  For the first 30 days, if you or Bichon and Little Buddies decide that the adoption isn't a good match for either the humans or the pet, the adoption fee will be refunded minus $75 within 30 days of the return of the dog.  Bichon and Little Buddies also requires adopters to return the pet to us at any time that they are unable or unwilling to care for the animal anymore.*** ***We do not show dogs without an appointment.  The first step in adoption is filling out the pre-adoption application at http://www.bichonrescues.com/pre-adoption-form-dog  Please do not call/email until AFTER you have filled out an application.*** Bichon and Little Buddies is a State Licensed Rescue # 268555-DS May 16, 2024, 10:48 am

Story
Ok, everyone, I need your help!🙌 I'm 👑Charles III👑, a 2+ year old, 55 lb guy who is just about perfect in every way but one - I'm just not a fan of strangers!! But read on, and I'll tell you why you shouldn't pass me by👀I'm completely house trained, crate trained but trusted loose while my people are away, I love walks (an old back leg injury does not slow me down) once I get comfortable with you, although you'll have to remind me not to bark at passersby, and well behaved on car rides. I only chew on my dog toys (hard toys only please!), have no issues sharing toys, food and treats with humans and doggy friends. And I LOVE my dog friends!! I'm very good at reading what those friends are like and adjusting my play style to what works best for them. I always come running when called, am 100% devoted to my family, and will do anything to please them.So - about this stranger thing. I have a hard time trusting new people at first. I bark and growl and try to scare them away! I find one person right away and bond to them quickly, then need more time to adjust to others in the home. But if you're patient and have a few days (note: this can take up to a week plus!), I'll warm up to you and lavish all my love on you! And I remember every person I've let into my circle - I saw a volunteer I met weeks ago, and treated her like a long lost bestie. Besides needing patience, I also ➡️NEED⬅️ a confident doggy playmate to take the lead that will show me new people are okay. When I see my dog friend getting affection, my craving for love will be overcome and soon I'll be right there asking for pets! Because of my herding tendencies, dog-savvy kids over 10 are best. And I recently visited a house with a cat who's used to dogs, she let me know she wasn't interested and I listened. My foster mom says I'm a 🪄Goldilocks🪄 kind of guy, I need a home that's *just right*. But if you think that's you, get your application in so we can start our happily everDATCP# 483538

Story
Banks is fostered in Ottumwa, Iowa.  Say hello to this handsome and INCREDIBLY sweet boy named Banks. Banks is a male, standard aussie, weighing about 40 lbs and is estimated around 5 years old.  Banks is being fostered with many other dogs and does wonderfully.  Banks is a SWEET boy and would love nothing more than a home with plenty of love and another dog friend.  Banks has great house manners; is crate trained and house trained.  Prior to coming into rescue, his coat was in rough shape with matting and had to be shaved.  His coat is returning nicely and he looks remarkable compared to several months ago. Banks goes to doggie daycare and plays well with many other dogs. Banks will chill after a fair amount of play, and chew on antlers or bones.  Banks is from a breeder who was giving away a massive amount of dogs from his property and based on this, he was not well socialized,.  Banks is a little timid and shy, but learning SO MUCH.  He does seek out pets from his foster home and even gives a few kisses.  He also sleeps in the bed with other dogs and does VERY well being left out in the house.    Banks will do best with another outgoing, social dog in the home to take cues from.  Banks does require a physical fencing, preferred to be 6 foot.  Banks is even good with cats.  Little kids may scare Banks, so no children under 10 years of age is recommended for his adoptive home.   Banks is neutered, microchipped, up-to-date on all vaccines (including Lyme) and is receiving monthly preventatives for fleas, ticks and heartworms.  Proof of heartworm preventatives for all past and current pets is required to adopt from us.  If you have what it takes to help Banks blossom into the bestest boy, please visit our website for more information on our adoption process, see our adoption fees, and find a link to our adoption application.  www.MidwestAustralianShepherdRescue.org.   ##1850267##

Story
Peanut is being fostered in Lansing IL.  This ADORABLE lil black tri guy is Peanut.  His date of birth is 5/8/2021.  He is a toy sized Australian Shepherd.  He weighs 15lbs and is learning to be a dog!  He is SUPER sweet but was poorly socialized by the breeder because he was a stud dog before coming to rescue.  Since coming to rescue, Peanut has learned that people come with yummy things to eat called treats.  When he first got to his foster home, he was super scared, but he has a confident resident foster dog and he takes tons of cues from her.  He loves car rides, loves to go for walks and loves to play with other dogs.  In his forever home, we will need a dog similar to his foster sister that is confident, playful and will show him that the world isn't such a scary place or even a pack to be a part of.  He would LOVE that.   Peanut needs a home that isn't too busy with tons of people and comings and goings.  He needs his human to be gentle and patient with him as he settles in to his new home.  Peanut came to us from the humane society in Eau Claire WI.  They reached out because he was rescued by a police officer from a state registered/licensed breeder because they had many violations on their property. Being used as a stud dog and lacking socialization from people, it takes time to gain his trust. To build trust, we are using high value treats and desensitization techniques.  He has come SO far with with this.  We recommend a home with no small children and a quieter home.  Peanut doesn't like the crate and does not want to be contained; which makes sense to us after all he has been through.  He needs someone that will continue his training, one tiny step at a time.  This should include routine, consistentcy, a kind voice and being gentle with him.   Peanut's needs: A physically fenced yard that he cannot fit through a confident resident dog to take cues from a patient, loving, gentle, dog savvy human to show him the ropes a routine and LOTS of high value treats.   Peanut is neutered, microchipped, negative for heartworms, up to date on vaccinations and on monthly prevention for fleas, ticks and heartworm.  If you think this Lil Peanut is your next family member and you have what it takes to help him come out of his shell, please fill out an adoption application today! You can find out adoption application on our website at https://midwestaustralianshepherdrescue.org/home/adoption-application/ ##1771524##

Story
Annie Blue is being fostered in Muscatine, Iowa. Annie Blue little doll is an abs/olute goofball.  Annie Blue is a herding breed mix of mini aussie, corgi and sheltie.  She currently weighs just under 30 lbs and has a date of birth of 8/30/2021.  She was surrendered by her former owners due to their failing health as they only wanted the best for this pretty princess.   Annie Blue is a great little girl.  She is a little timid and shy but she does warm up nicely.  She is looking for an active family with another social dog.  She can be vocal in her play style - it's just her way of communicating.  Annie Blue loves other dogs and loves to play and run.  Annie Blue has some basic training and is good with several commands.  Annie is crate trained, house trained and great with other dogs of all ages and sizes.  She is ok with children over the age of 10 years old.  We would recommend a fenced yard and someone who would love to continue working on socialization with her.  She also has a gold medal in cuddling.   Annie Blue is spayed, up-to-date on all vaccinations, microchipped and receiving monthly preventatives for fleas, ticks and heartworms.  NOTE: Proof of heartworm prevention is required for all prior or current pets in order to adopt from our rescue.  Adopters should be committed to 1 - 2 hours per day providing mental and physical stimulation. If you think you would be a good fit for this princess, please visit our website for more information on our adoption process and a link to our adoption application.  www.MidwestAustralianShepherdRescue.org. ##1954837##
