Story
Meet `Henry`!This handsome guy is a 3 year old Beagle weighing 35 pounds. Henry is all Beagle, nose to the ground is how he rolls! He can get a little nervous with handling, but nothing a soft hand and treats can`t cure. He will need to have a secured fenced yard, as he is a high flight risk. Henry would prefer to be the only dog in the family as he does have an alpha personality. Henry will need to meet all humans in the family and no children under 15.

Story
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ORVILLE, PLEASE GO TO OUR WEBSITE TO READ ABOUT THE PROCESS AND FILL OUT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION. www.furkidrescue.org Orville was rescued by a good Samaritan in Arkansas, when he was founded at an abandoned home. He was underweight, covered in fleas and ticks, and very weak. Once we got him to our vet we found that he was anemic, the fleas had sucked all of his blood. He is also heartworm positive, and he’s started the beginning of heartworm treatment. He’s feeling so much better and is on the path to good health! Orville is feeling better now, and his personality has started to show. He shows signs of being abused. He is not going to be a good first dog for someone, and he will need someone who’s dog savvy, and will give him space to settle in his environment.

Story
Meet Max (aka Señor, Señor Snooter, Señor Max) (3 years old) … This handsome beagle has been nicknamed Snooter because his beagle snoot gets him in trouble! Max is 100% beagle, and his antics, snoot, cuddles, cuteness and loud-a$$ beagle bay show this. He is the cuddliest love bug you would ever meet and gives you hugs, his foster mom almost has him trained to give hugs on command. He gets along with the 5 cats and the other 2 dogs at his foster home, but relentlessly chases the cats and has attacked the roaming local resident rooster in the yard. Ideally Max would probably do best as an only dog, but he will adjust to other dogs and cats in the house when given the time, but…. he WILL chase the cats if they run from him, he’s a beagle! Max does not do well when meeting strange dogs, whether in his house, at a store or on walks. He shows a lot of aggression and if not managed properly, he will attack. He does adjust when properly disciplined and managed. He loves to be bathed and does very well, but hates his nails touched. Snooter is a garbage dog. His snoot will lead him to the trash, he will get in it, he will eat whatever nasty stuff is in it. He’ll also get in the bathroom garbage and eat your Kleenex. He’s gross, will roll in stinky stuff and knows he’s bad when he does it….this is why he’s used to baths and thank goodness his foster mom is a groomer. He will steal food right off your plate or off the counter when you’re not looking or paying attention. Again, he’s a beagle and his snooter leads him to trouble. Food cannot be left out, on counters or in open garbage cans. Señor loves to take walks, go for car rides and will ride in a shopping cart in the store all day long. He loves to say hi to everyone along the way. He does well with older kids, but is hesitant and will snap when smaller kids or even adults grab, spook or try to reach over top of him. He would need to be introduced when meeting new people. Pet under his head first, not let people reach over him or come at him. He sleeps all night, cuddles right next to you and fights for that spot as close to you as possible. He then sleeps with his snoot laying and touching you all night. He’s not a bed hog, he will curl up next to you, and as long as he’s close to you he is happy and stays put the entire night. He snores, LOUDLY, like an old man. Señor is house trained, somewhat. He tends to occasionally pee on the dog bed, could possibly be pee pad trained and that is why he does this? On a regular schedule, he has no issues in the house. He is trained on a wireless/wired fence. If there is not an electronic fence, he would require a fenced in yard….he’s a beagle, he runs. Max does come when he’s called and knows sit, down and circus. We are working on paw. He does jump up, but mostly only when asked and he’s gentle about it. He loves to run and gets zoomies very often…and is VERY fast. Señor Max did not have a rough start, or a sad story. He was surrendered by his original owner due to having to leave the country. It was very clear he was loved, cared for and very spoiled and missed his owner very much. He does have a bit of a language barrier right now, Max knows Spanish. But he is learning English commands well and getting much better. Max is going to do best with an individual or family that understands his beagle breed, is home most all of the time as he’s anxiety ridden when left alone and someone that will be very patient with him. Fenced yard or electric fence is required. No young toddlers or children. Will be ok with other dogs and house cats with the understanding he is a jealous dog and will chase cats. Señor Max is neutered, microchipped and up to date on all his vaccines and flea/tick treatments. https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/PAPS/Dog Pet Search KL 3301 Washington PA 15301
