Story
A FRIENDLY & ENERGETIC FRIEND: 10 – 11 months old / Currently 41 lbs. Hi there, I’m Phyllis! I was rescued from animal control as a puppy along with my siblings and adopted for about 6 months, but my family realized that I was a bit too much for the small older dog and young kids in the home, so I’m back with Mostly Mutts looking for a great fit! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I loved my siblings and enjoyed playing with most of the other dogs I met while with my former family. When I recently met dogs at Mostly Mutts, it took a few minutes for me to warm up, but I did, so if you have a dog at home that would enjoy a friend, let’s meet! / I haven’t met kitties yet, so let’s meet. / I met a nice boy and a girl around 10 years old at Mostly Mutts and did well with them. I like kids and think that 10 years old and up could be a good fit for me, since I was a bit too much for the young kids in my former home. So, if you have kids around 10 years old, let’s meet! • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I’m described as a sweet, energetic, and friendly pup who is happy to spend time with the nice volunteers that come to visit and care for me. I enjoyed playing in the water during my bath, so maybe I’ll like water play such as streams, lakes, or boat rides. Time will tell. I’m reported to be able to jump a fence, so please watch me in the yard if you have a fence until you know I won’t do that, as I don’t want to get lost or hurt. / My energy level is 6 – 8, so I’d like some regular/consistent exercise. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I’m a member in the Mostly Mutts University training program and have already learned ‘sit’, ‘down’, ‘stay’, ‘come’, ‘leave it’ and ‘drop it’ commands, so I’m a good learner and would like to continue with my training. I’m working on my leash manners now. / My crate manners have been good at Mostly Mutts. / My potty manners are coming along with just a few accidents, so please continue to be consistent with taking me out, and I think I’ll finish learning this very soon. • LIKES/DISLIKES: I love people, stuffed toys, playing, running a bit, fetching and food! I use a slow feeder bowl at Mostly Mutts because I tend to eat fast, and this helps slow me down. / I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL: I’m current on immunizations, microchipped and spayed.
