Nelly - 23738 - Kennel 834 - Arrived October 30, 2026, as a stray - Border Collie/Labrador Retriever mix - black and white - female - 11 months old - 47.5625 lbs (estimated adult weight 50-58 lbs) - Will be spayed prior to adoption - Up to date on vaccines - Heartworm negative Nelly is such a cute puppy, with a shaggy black coat, a cream beard and eyebrows, a cream chest, and long, soft ears that fold just so. Her dark, gentle eyes and slightly scruffy look give her a face you want to scratch behind the ears right away. Nelly arrived at Cobb Animal Services as a stray on October 30, 2026. We don’t know where she came from, but we know she is 11 months old and 47.5625 pounds, still a young girl with her whole life ahead of her. Based on her size and build, we estimate she’ll fill out to around 50 to 58 pounds, and the person who adopts her will be there for the rest of her growing up. Nelly is very calm and polite, and she sits nicely for a treat. The noise of the shelter is a lot for her to take in, and she is still settling in. A quiet, steady home is often all a gentle girl like Nelly needs to show you who she is, and a little patience is usually rewarded with a devoted friend. Nelly is up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and will be spayed before she goes home. A kennel isn’t where a sweet, polite young girl like Nelly belongs. She is ready for a soft bed, a kind voice, and a person who is glad to have her. Come meet Nelly in kennel 834. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. A DELIGHTFUL FRIEND: Approx. 4 years old / Approx. 35 lbs. Hi, I'm Colson! I came to Mostly Mutts when I found myself in need of a home! Thankfully, they took me in, and I am soaking up all the love and attention from the volunteers while I wait to find my new family. I'm really looking forward to that! Plan to come meet me soon and see if I am your new furry family member!     • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS: I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts and liked them, so if you have a nice dog at home already, let's meet! / Cats unknown. / I haven't met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let's meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over. • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL: I'm a friendly, happy-go-lucky boy with a fun, playful personality and a pretty smart little mind, too! I'm super sweet and love being around people and enjoy being part of the action. I can be a bit of a tripping hazard because I like to stay close to my people, so watch your step—I might be right underfoot! I also showed off my wonderful manners during my bath, staying calm and sweet while being pampered. I'm a delightful mix of playful fun and easygoing sweetness, and I can't wait to bring lots of smiles to my furever family! / Energy level: 5-7.     • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY: I'm in the Mostly Mutts University training program and have already mastered the 'sit' and 'down' commands and I look forward to learning more. Let's continue my training together with the free lifetime training classes that Mostly Mutts offers for all their adopted dogs. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. / My potty manners have been pretty good on the shelter schedule, so hopefully that will be the case in my new home too. • LIKES/DISLIKES: I love toys, yummy treats, and getting lots of pets! Attention from my people is always a favorite, so I'm never one to turn down a little extra affection. I'm sure we'll discover lots more things we like doing together in our new home! / I can't think of any dislikes though like all dogs, I'm sure I wouldn't like it if I didn't get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL: I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered.
