Story
Potato is a loving family dog, definitely a boy that loves to cuddle. He is very energetic and would love other dogs and kids to play with. Potato also plays with cats. He was a from a litter of pups with a mom that was an Australian shepherd and the father was unknown, but by his looks we believe he has lab in him. Unfortunately he got bigger then we expected (6 months old and about 35 lbs). Our landlord will not let us keep him due to his size, and he is currently at my moms until he can find his new loving family. He knows some basic commands (sit, down, and waiting for the ‘ok’ to eat). Potato is crate trained, preferring to sleep in his crate (his 100 lb dog crate is included when adopted, along with his favorite toys and slow feeder/water stand)

Story
Pistol was born in Oklahoma. November 2013, he will be 10 years old this year. Adopted him as a single mother of a 1 year old. He has grown up with my oldest son. Sadly, we cannot give him the attnetion he requires being such a high energy dog with our busy schedule. High energy dog, great outdoor dog, does love to dig, play fetch, very affectionate. Great with children. Very patient with them playing games around him, and very protective. Does love giving hugs, give and inch he'll take a mile and jump up to your chest for love.

Story
Maverick is an 7 year old Australian shepherd mix. He's a low energy, low maintenence, loveable boy. He's been our family pet for the last 7 years, but due to recent family structural changes and a major loss of income, I can no longer afford his regular care (food, flea treatments, vet checkups). He loves to be pet. If you pet him, he will stick to you like glue! He is also smart and listens really well. He knows the commands for lay down, sit, shake, and go outside. He is house trained and has excellent manners inside. He loves to be both indoors and outdoors. He can also catch treats when you toss them! He is easy going and great with kids, other (friendly) dogs, and cats. He loves to chase birds though, and did kill several chickens that he managed to catch one time. Maverick would probably be a great emotional support pet, or a therapy dog because of his easy going, cuddly nature! I'm looking for someone who wants to have a laid back, already trained best friend to love.

Story
Ringo is a very social dog, loves playing with other dogs and loves kids. He does get excited and rambunctious but he tones it down for kids. He loves his toys and will talk to you once he gets to know you. When he talks to you, you can ask him what he wants and he will show you. I hate doing this but I have no other choice. Ringo needs someone who can show him attention and love. Our living situation is making this very difficult for us to give that to him and it is not fair to him.

Ziva likes lots of love. She whines, which is her way of talking. She has always been with our German Shepard Zoey, who is also up for adoption. Ziva loves kids and loves to play with my 9-year-old granddaughter.

Story
Meet Oswald! Oswald is sweet silly 1 year old Australian Shepherd mix looking for a mildly active home. He loves to play and is very gentle with other dogs. Prefers less pushy playmates. Calm with a natural off switch, very gentle and respectful of your personal space. He over come many set backs as a puppy can came out as a true survivor ready to take on the world. He knows sit, down, stay, leave it, place, and has leash walking skills. He pulls lightly sometimes, but otherwise walks very well. Loves older kiddos. He will need time to be slowly introduced to new environments. He is shy and needs a 2 - 3 day warm up period where her can chill in his kennel and get used to the new environment and sounds. After warming up he is easy to manage and a joy to have in the house. To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt. It doesn't obligate you, but it is the first step. We don't get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!
