Story
Valentino is fostered in Waukesha, WI. These sweet little nuggets were born in an over-crowded Kansas shelter.  Momma Vixen and her 3 babies were brought into rescue when the pups were 1 week old. The puppies are now ready to find their adoptive homes.  Vader is a male Mini Australian Shepherd (Mini American Shepherd) Border Collie mix that will remain on the smaller size, as their momma is only 25 lbs.  He was born on 03/24/2025.   Of the three siblings, Valentino has already shown he's the most confident in this litter. He is always front & centered the moment a human walks in to the room & is always the first to explore a new sight or sound.  He is doing GREAT on potty training and will need to stay on a schedule to continue to be successful.   Aussie and Border Collie pups need to be socialized with the world around them once adopted.  They need to be exposed to various types of stimuli and have already learned so much from being in their foster home.  If you have never had an Aussie, Border Collie or a working dog before, we recommend doing a little research before committing to this high energy working breed!  He will need a MINIMUM of 2-3 hours of exercise throughout the day.   Valentino is up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, is microchipped, dewormed and on monthly prevention for fleas, ticks and heartworm.  Proof of heartworm prevention for any current or previous pets is required to adopt from our organization.  For more information on our adoption process, please visit our website at www.MidwestAustralianShepherdRescue.org. NOTE:  All of our dogs live in foster homes with volunteers so we need an approved application on file to set up a meet with a dog you might have an interest in.  Please visit our website for more information on our adoption process, our adoption fees and a link to our adoption application.  We pride ourselves on matches that work for both the dog and your family.  MASR is here for your support, advice and safety net for our dogs for the remainder of their lives.  www.MidwestAustralianShepherdRescue.org ##2362162##

Story
Meet Wolfie (short for Wolfgang!) This 1-year-old, 38-pound Border Collie mix is bursting with personality and energy! Recently rescued from Southern Illinois, Wolfie is still settling into his foster home, but one thing’s clear—this pup is full of life and ready for adventure. Wolfie is super curious and excitable, especially when it comes to wildlife and passing cars. He absolutely enjoys walks, marrow bones, and mealtime. He’s a great dog with tons of potential, but will need structure and consistent training to thrive. His ideal home? One with a secure fenced-in yard, canine playmates, and someone ready to channel his energy in positive ways. With the right guidance, Wolfie is going to make an incredible companion. Looking for a fun, smart, and high-spirited pup to be your next best friend? Wolfie may be your guy! Stop by our weekly adoption events on Saturdays from 12-4 pm at 372 Townline Road in Mundelein, IL 60060 to meet our adoptable animals in person. Story
**Patches: The Pint-Sized Picasso with a Passion for Play!**This little masterpiece is Patches, a 3-month-old Border Collie mix who's basically a walking work of art! With her soft white and black fur and a stylishly curled black tail, she's like a tiny, furry yin-yang symbol. And while she's not a big shedder (yet!), she did leave a little bit of herself on her bedding, because even art has its messy moments.Patches has a temperament that's as wonderful as her coat. She loves people, plays well with other dogs, and is utterly fearless. This little adventurer is known for her daring leaps and her playful habit of "borrowing" toys from bigger dogs (she's got chutzpah!). She's still a bit clumsy, but hey, who needs grace when you've got this much charm? She's also a natural with kids, having a blast playing with her foster mom's 4 and 7-year-old grandsons. Potty training is a work in progress (she's currently pad-trained), and leash training hasn't even begun yet, so get ready for some fun learning experiences! While not formally crate-trained, Patches willingly uses her crate for eating and resting, which is a great start. This joyful pup is already showing off her smarts by knowing how to sit for a yummy treat! And if she's waiting to come inside, you'll know it; she's not shy about giving the door a little knock! Even her first bath was entertaining, with some curious little nips at the shower spray. Patches is a champion napper and adores being around people, children, and other furry friends.Patches is up-to-date on her vaccinations, microchipped, and ready to find her forever family. A spay/neuter deposit will be required as part of the adoption process.**Adoption Fee:** $500 + $150 spay/neuter deposit = $650.00**Location:** KenoshaReady to add a little Patches to your life? Fill out an application at www.biggiepawsrescue.org and prepare for a lifetime of love, laughter, and maybe a few stolen toys!**A Note to Potential Adopters:** All adopters must be prepared to provide a loving and supportive home for Patches, including ongoing training, appropriate exercise, and veterinary care.DATCP # 494550

Story
Meet Lincoln....... Lincoln is an adorable young boy, thought to be a Border Collie Mix. Like Border Collies, he’s very smart, a quick learner, very alert and quite energetic!! At age 9 months, he weighs 38 lbs. It is most important to note that we cannot be 100% sure of his adult weight, but our best guess is about 40ish lbs. This handsome boy joined BAARK from an overcrowded shelter in Kentucky earlier this year. He is thought to have been born around December 23, 2022. He was a scared little puppy when entering our rescue program but has come out of his shell and has evolved into a playful, sociable, and somewhat mischievous boy. Lincoln is great with dogs outside of his foster home, but can be protective of his home and human, indoors. Most likely Lincoln would prefer being an only dog, receiving all the attention he deserves. However he could to ok with a calm easy-going female. He would probably be far too energetic for a senior (dog or human!) An ideal family for Lincoln is one able to assimilate the energy of a young boy into its lifestyle and is willing to commit the time to working with and training Lincoln to be his best self! A secure, above-ground fenced yard is important. Lincoln would not thrive as an apartment dweller. Lincoln is crate-trained and is working on good house manners (housebreaking). He is up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations, is heartworm negative and is on heartworm preventative. He is neutered and microchipped as well. . For information about adding this adorable boy to your family please contact BAARKDogRescue@gmail.com or 847-852-0895. BAARK is located in the far NW suburbs of Chicago and adopts local to this area.

Story
1/28/25 Ohhhh Easton.....he is one cool dude! A fun and goofy character is how we best describe him. He is young and wants to learn and once he learns it, he gets excited about what a good boy he is! He is very motivated by food which helps! He has met kids ages 8 and up and does well. He is very gentle when taking treats. Easton has adapted well to inside life and I think he rather enjoys it! We are usually greeted with "happy feet", tail wags and jumping up on us for a hug. While I do not usually encourage the jumping, we let him get away with it because we are excited that he has opened up to be comfortable with people instead of hiding. He likes going for long walks, running in the yard and a good nap. He is curious about everything. Sudden movements and loud noises still spook him but he recovers quickly and gets back to what he was doing. He is hard to capture photos of because when you get to his level - he comes bounding over for kisses and petting. Easton is ready to meet his forever home....are you it? He is looking for a gentle confident dog to play with and show him the way or can be in a home by himself with someone who will take it slow with him to build his confidence and do other activities. He is currently being fostered with Falcon....check out her story too! Easton is one of the Lucky 13 brought in from a hoarding situation. He is a goofy boy and watching his progress daily is amazing. Don't get me wrong - he is super shy and nervous but with lots of patience, he will come out of his shell. Easton gets along with other dogs but will need a confident dog friend to help him. We do not have cats so do not know how he would get along with them. Easton is learning how to live inside a home. So far he is doing well. He is a little unsure on hardwood floors and going around corners but is learning. Easton has mastered the stairs up and down. He also has learned how to wear a collar and walk on leash. He is pulling less and less each day and is looking to his person for confidence. We are working on recall and as he progresses so does the distance we give him on the leash. Easton is looking for a person or family who understands the needs of a dog who has had a rough start and can focus on how to give him the space he needs to grow but gently teach him how to be a dog. Not suitable for a condo or apartment setting. Please reach out for more info and watch for updates as he develops in his foster home. Please Visit Easton and all his friends on our web page. https://www.midwestbordercollierescue.org/alldogs Location: Northern Illinois Contact: team@midwestbordercollierescue.org
