Story
I'm Rolo, a handsome and young brindle pup with the most soulful eyes. I am only a year old and having a hard time in this shelter place. I am very sweet and kind, and just need some time to decompress. I would love a home to call my own so I can blossom into my true self. I am hoping someone can see behind my reserved exterior to the loving heart beneath. I seek comfort in my favorite people, and will sit on their feet when life gets hard. I met this cool dog also at MAR named Bruno, and I really wanted to be his friend! I would probably get along well with another well mannered dog of a similar size. If you are a patient and kind person with a huge heart for scared shelter pups, come meet me today! To see more of Rolo in action, please follow this link: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Z9J5rcPylPiE8FkBRo7m3x3Nqr_iAQ0W?usp=drive_link If you're interested in adopting this animal, please come meet them at our shelter (1242 Lombard St.)! Our adoption hours are Tuesdays and Saturdays from 12-5pm, and Wednesdays and Fridays from 12-7pm. No appointment is necessary! We also have adoptable cats at the South Philly PetSmart (2360 W Oregon Ave.) Please check our adoption hours using the link; https://calendly.com/marfosters/petsmart-oregon-avenue-adoption-hours If you have any questions, email us at adopt@morrisanimalrefuge.org. Story
Bonnie is a fantastic dog with humans. She is so loving and cuddly, and she would make a great pet to anyone who adopts her. I am rehoming her because she is reactive with other dogs. I have had her a couple of weeks and have realized that I am not equipped to train a reactive dog. If she goes to a home with no other dogs, she will thrive. My hope for her is that she is adopted to a home with a yard she can play in and minimal neighbors with dogs so she isn't being triggered everyday as I live in the city. She is house trained and her recall skills when not distracted by other dogs are strong and becoming stronger as I work with her. She is crate trained as well, and she loves giving kisses.Bonnie is a wonderful dog that I am unequipped to take care of, and I just want her to go to a home where she will thrive and a family who will care for her.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Tank is a 3-year-old, slightly under 40 lbs, boxer mix that was found as a stray during his initial stay at the Gloucester County Animal Shelter. His original owners reclaimed him only to return him and his littermate at a later date for reasons not related to Tank. He was then adopted a second time just a few days later, only to be returned due to “guarding his food bowl from their five resident cats”.   When Tank was at the shelter, he shook terribly and would hide in the outer parts of the kennel, hardly being noticed and full of fear and stress. His chances were very slim, so he was pulled by his volunteer buddy.   Tank was pulled into a loving foster home in November 19, and has had time to decompress and shine! He has shown zero guarding concerns towards foster, and is respectful towards small critters (ferrets and guinea pigs in the home). They are not loose in his presence, but he goes over to their habitats, is friendly and respectful of them, and wags his tail.    Tank is not housebroken; he is working hard at it and has improved, but even the vet believes it is 2 and a half years of learned behavior, where he was never taught, so now we are breaking old habits that are instilled in him. He wears washable belly bands that work as diapers for his urine as needed, or when home we just frequently observe and let him out to potty.    Tank is dog selective, and lived in a home with cats prior. However, must go to a home that is savvy and can allow safe separation for cats and eating times. Tank is very kid friendly to respectful children, and does well with women and men. He walks well on a leash, is crate trained, and has learned commands such as “kennel up”, sit and shake. Tank is a complete LOVER, loves to be wrapped up under a blanket laying with his family. If you want a snuggler, Tank is 100% down for that!!    He loves he benebones, cheek rolls and toys so very much, and although he loves the big back yard so much, he prefers hanging out inside, snuggling to watch a show, and chewing a bone with his friends. He gets the zoomies, loves fetch and then is ready to come inside. As a very anxious pup, Tank has overcome so much at such a young age, and his foster family will foster him for as long as it takes to find him his PERFECT match!!    Now with SJR as of late March, we are looking for someone who either works from home, is retired or simply home more times than not, in a quiet home. Tank loves companionship!! He also will thrive with a family who can continually take him out to potty and be understanding and patient. He is a certified foodie, loves snacks and thrives on structure and routine.    He needs a family that will love him unconditionally and not give up on him. Tank really is a genuine sweetheart and loves all of the friends we introduce him to!!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 30, 2026, 11:05 am

Story
We’re looking to re-home our gentle giant, Hussle, as we prepare to welcome our first child and unfortunately no longer have the space he deserves. Hussle is incredibly well-behaved, loving, friendly, and the sweetest cuddle buddy. He does have some special needs, including allergies that require a little extra TLC and care, but he is absolutely worth it. This is a very difficult decision, and we’re hoping to find him a loving, patient home where he’ll receive all the care and attention he deserves. ❤️

Story
Complimentary Post Meet Bonnie! Bonnie is a 5–6 year old pittie mix weighing around 40–45 lbs, and she is pure sweetness wrapped in a Velcro body. This girl loves her people and wants nothing more than to be right by your side—whether that’s cuddling on the couch, hanging out while you work, or following you from room to room. Bonnie is housetrained, knows how to use a doggie door, and is used to being at home with her owner. Because of that, she would do best in a home where she can spend lots of time with her humans, which will help make her transition smooth and stress-free. She’s friendly with other dogs and has done great with everyone she’s met. That said, Bonnie can be a bit of an attention hog—in the cutest way possible! If another dog is getting pets, she might politely step in front to remind you she’s there too. We’re working on those manners, and she’s eager to learn. Bonnie enjoys playing, loves a good bone, and can get a little wild during playtime—but she’s easily redirected and always means well. When the fun is over, she’s right back to being your loyal cuddle buddy. If you’re looking for a loving, people-oriented dog who will stick by your side through thick and thin, Bonnie might just be your perfect match. Bonnie is spayed, up to date on shots & microchipped *********************** If you are interested in meeting Bonnie, you can email us at jerseygirlsanimalrescue@gmail.com
