Bella is an adorable petite bunny-eared girl weighing just 42 pounds who is a sweet, wiggly, and shy lady, Bella doesn’t ask for much; she loves the simple things like hanging out with her family and going on walks. Bella has a reserved yet affectionate demeanor. Adopted in 2022 after being turned in to ACCTPhilly as a stray, Bella spent several happy years with her owner until they surrendered her back to the ACCT Philly in February 2026. When her second stay there became too long and with dozens of dogs entering the shelter daily, Bella was Timestamped. Fortunately, we were able to pull her and she is now blossoming in her foster home! Bella does have a noted history of resource guarding dating back to her original shelter stay, but with proper management and separation for meals and fun chews, she has shown she is completely capable of living with another dog and she has a history of being okay with cats. With her behavioral needs in mind, Bella requires a loving household that is equipped to manage her resource guarding, and ensure that any food or high-value items are given under supervision and while Bella is separated from any other resident pets. With additional training and proper management of her known behavioral needs, Bella is sure to bring light, love, and joy to her new family. Bella loves cuddles, loves going for walks and walks well on leash, loves to talk to her people using grunts and groans. Lars is a handsome 2 years old, 76 lb. Terrier/Boxer mix brindle with white paws and bib around his neck. He's a big goofy people person and a love bug. He loves to play, chew bones and give big sloppy kisses. He is crate trained and appears to be good with other dogs and cats and school aged children. He does jump sometimes so probably not a good choice for a family with small children. Lars is neutered and has all of his vaccines. He is being rehomed due to his owner's change in employment and just not being home very much to give him the loving home that he deserves. He and his brother and sister were dumped in a busy neighborhood in Puerto Rico and left to survive completely on their own. For nearly a month, the three puppies wandered the streets searching for scraps of food, only to be chased away and shooed from homes and businesses wherever they went. Their future looked bleak until one compassionate stranger reached out to rescue with an urgent message: "Come pick them up, or I'm bringing them to be euthanized." Thankfully, rescue stepped in just in time. Today, Pecan is safe, fully vetted, and thriving in his foster home in the States. While he's still a little shy when meeting new people, it doesn't take long for his sweet personality to shine through. Once he knows he's safe, he absolutely melts into pets, cuddles, and affection. Meet Sweet Mama Moosh! For years, Sweet Mama Moosh has known what it means to survive—but not what it feels like to truly belong. This beautiful 4-5 year old girl spent her life on the streets, where neighbors watched her lovingly raise at least two litters of puppies. While she made sure her babies were safe, no one was there to make sure she was. She endured hunger, uncertainty, and even an injured paw, yet somehow never lost her gentle, loving heart. When we trapped her, the plan was simply to spay her and return her to the streets. But after spending time with her, we knew we couldn't do it. Sweet Mama Moosh is far too affectionate, trusting, and deserving of love to spend another day wondering where she'll sleep or if she'll have enough to eat. She has fought to survive long enough. Now it's her turn to be cared for. Today, her paw has completely healed, and she has blossomed into a happy, healthy, beautiful girl who is finally ready for the life she's always deserved. She is currently being fostered in Puerto Rico and is now spayed, vaccinated, up to date on preventatives, potty trained and crate trained! Such an amazing girl!! We adopted Lou (formerly Blue) from ACCT Philadelphia in September 2025. She is a sweet and affectionate pup with many good qualities but she is not great with kids which is why we have to find her a new home. Lou is house and crate trained. She is smart and has learned many tricks. She is good on the leash on walks and runs. She would be great in a calm home with adults.
