He’s 14 weeks old, 9 pounds, good with other dogs, playful, sweet and perfectly capable of entertaining his own dang self.Sure, he’s a Boxer mix.But apparently nobody told Gadget that means he’s supposed to be bouncing off the walls, arguing with the humans and acting like somebody gave a toddler three Mountain Dews and a trampoline.Gadget is more of a:“Y’all go ahead. I’ll be over here minding my business.” kind of fella.He likes to play. He likes other dogs. He enjoys some puppy shenanigans.But when everybody else starts acting like they’ve lost their ever-loving minds?Gadget is perfectly content to grab himself a toy, find a comfortable spot and watch the circus from a safe distance.He’s got good sense.Well…As much good sense as you can reasonably expect from a 14-week-old puppy. While Glade is somewhere hearing the word “NO” and immediately requesting a second opinion, Gadget is more likely to be sitting there wondering why everybody is making such a big fuss.He’s sweet.He’s easygoing.He’s playful.He’s independent.And he just likes to hang out.Gadget doesn't need to be all up in everybody’s business.He doesn't need a parade.He doesn't need to run the household.He sure as heck doesn't need to climb the curtains just because nobody has paid attention to him for 37 seconds.He’s just a good ol’ boy.Give him some toys, another dog to pal around with, a comfy place to flop and some people who love him, and Gadget is pretty darn happy with life.Now don't misunderstand us. Chango was originally someone else's and his name was Choppa. He was their pandemic puppy, born on May 20, 2020. Around the time other people were getting rid of their pandemic puppies, Chango was put up on Craigslist in January 2021 for free.Chango is very affectionate and is the best cuddle buddy. However, he is also very scared and can be aggressive when frightened. He has never bitten anyone, but a scared dog can bite.He is very smart and stubborn. He knows the rules but will break them unless supervised or on a leash.He lives with two other dogs and a cat. He must be on trazodone when introduced to new dogs, but once acclimated, he is fine without the medication.Chango is very good with children and never shows aggression or growls. However, he may try to dominate anyone, so he should not be left alone with young children who cannot push him off if he tries to mount them.

Bonnie is a fantastic dog with humans. She is so loving and cuddly, and she would make a great pet to anyone who adopts her. I am rehoming her because she is reactive with other dogs and it has become too difficult walking her in the city. I have had her a couple of weeks and have realized that I am not equipped to train a reactive dog. If she goes to a home with no other dogs, she will thrive. My hope for her is that she is adopted to a home with a yard she can play in and minimal neighbors with dogs so she isn't being triggered everyday as I live in the city. She is house trained and her recall skills when not distracted by other dogs are strong and becoming stronger as I work with her. She is crate trained as well, and she loves giving kisses.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Tank is a 3-year-old, slightly under 40 lbs, boxer mix that was found as a stray during his initial stay at the Gloucester County Animal Shelter. His original owners reclaimed him only to return him and his littermate at a later date for reasons not related to Tank. He was then adopted a second time just a few days later, only to be returned due to “guarding his food bowl from their five resident cats”. When Tank was at the shelter, he shook terribly and would hide in the outer parts of the kennel, hardly being noticed and full of fear and stress. His chances were very slim, so he was pulled by his volunteer buddy. Tank was pulled into a loving foster home in November 19, and has had time to decompress and shine! He has shown zero guarding concerns towards foster, and is respectful towards small critters (ferrets and guinea pigs in the home). They are not loose in his presence, but he goes over to their habitats, is friendly and respectful of them, and wags his tail. Tank is not housebroken; he is working hard at it and has improved, but even the vet believes it is 2 and a half years of learned behavior, where he was never taught, so now we are breaking old habits that are instilled in him. He wears washable belly bands that work as diapers for his urine as needed, or when home we just frequently observe and let him out to potty. Tank is dog selective, and lived in a home with cats prior. However, must go to a home that is savvy and can allow safe separation for cats and eating times. Tank is very kid friendly to respectful children, and does well with women and men. He walks well on a leash, is crate trained, and has learned commands such as “kennel up”, sit and shake. Tank is a complete LOVER, loves to be wrapped up under a blanket laying with his family. If you want a snuggler, Tank is 100% down for that!! He loves he benebones, cheek rolls and toys so very much, and although he loves the big back yard so much, he prefers hanging out inside, snuggling to watch a show, and chewing a bone with his friends. He gets the zoomies, loves fetch and then is ready to come inside. As a very anxious pup, Tank has overcome so much at such a young age, and his foster family will foster him for as long as it takes to find him his PERFECT match!! Now with SJR as of late March, we are looking for someone who either works from home, is retired or simply home more times than not, in a quiet home. Tank loves companionship!! He also will thrive with a family who can continually take him out to potty and be understanding and patient. He is a certified foodie, loves snacks and thrives on structure and routine. He needs a family that will love him unconditionally and not give up on him.
