Story
Meet Lola — a quiet queen with a gentle heart and a love for peaceful living. This beautiful girl may be shy when first meeting new people, but once she feels safe and settled, her sweet and calm personality begins to shine. Lola is the kind of companion who enjoys simply being near her people, offering quiet company and soft affection on her own terms.Lola would thrive in a calm, quiet home where she can settle in at her own pace and feel secure. Her previous owner shared that she does well with dogs, and she also has an independent side that makes her an easy companion for someone who appreciates a more relaxed and low-key cat.One of Lola’s favorite pastimes is finding the perfect high perch to observe everything around her. Whether it’s a cat tree, the back of the couch, or a sunny windowsill, she loves surveying her kingdom from above like the graceful little ruler she is.If you’re looking for a peaceful, observant companion with a soft spirit and plenty of quiet charm, Lola may be the perfect addition to your home.If you are interested in meeting Lola, the shelter is open Monday through Saturday, 11 am – 6 pm, Sunday 11 am-4 pm (Summer Hours). Story
Where did you acquire your pet? My daughter found him roaming her college campus, and I took him in as a temporary foster to help him recover. He was severely malnourished and had skin issues, but after receiving care, he is now healthy, neutered, thriving, and ready for his forever home. How old is your pet? When I took him to his first vet visit in December 2024, the vet told me he was a year old due to his teeth. Smokey's current age is 2 years and 4 months. What are you looking for in a new home? Smokey would do best as the only cat, as he becomes stressed around other cats. He is very loving, affectionate, and enjoys close companionship, especially sleeping next to you. He thrives in a calm environment with one-on-one attention. What adjectives would you use to describe your pet? Loving, Playful, Affectionate, Curious, and Laid-back.

Story
Meet Dina, a stunning mix of tortoiseshell and tabby. She is a queen with a personality as colorful as her coat. This beautiful girl is the perfect blend of sweet and independent. Dina may be shy when you first meet her — she prefers to take her time getting to know new people and surroundings — but once she feels safe, her gentle and affectionate nature truly shines. She’s the kind of cat who bonds deeply with “her person” and will quietly keep you company from her favorite cozy spot.True to her tortie roots, Dina has that classic “tortitude”! She knows what she likes, isn’t afraid to show a little sass, and loves attention on her terms. It just adds to her irresistible personality. She’s independent enough to entertain herself, but she’ll happily accept pets and attention on her terms — and those moments feel extra special.Dina would thrive in a calm, patient home that understands shy kitties sometimes just need a little time. Once she settles in, you’ll discover a loyal, loving companion with just the right amount of spice. If you’re looking for a beautiful, soulful cat with sweetness, sass, and plenty of personality, Dina might just be your perfect match. Catherine O'Hara is Sponsored by Michael PriceMeet Catherine O’Hara — our leading lady with a flair for the dramatic.Much like her fabulous namesake, Catherine O'Hara, this girl knows how to make an entrance… and an exit. One moment she’s delicately draped across her throne (your couch), the next she’s delivering an award-worthy performance because dinner is three minutes late.Catherine is an adult queen who knows exactly who she is. She’s independent, expressive, and unapologetically herself. She’ll need an experienced cat guardian who understands that love is on her terms. She doesn’t do clingy — she prefers devoted admiration from a respectful distance (until she decides it’s time for affection, of course). She would thrive in a calm home where her boundaries are honored and her opinions are valued. In return, she’ll provide sophisticated companionship, comedic relief, and the quiet comfort only a confident cat can give.If you’re ready to worship appropriately, respect the diva energy, and share your home with a star who shines brightest when allowed to be her fabulous, independent self — Catherine O’Hara is ready for her close-up.If you are interested in meeting her, the shelter is open Monday through Saturday 11am – 6pm and Sunday 11am – 4pm.
