Story
This bonded couple dual came from Talking Waters Park in Albany and were part of a fed feral colony and socialized to their feeders outside. They were actually celebrities among those who enjoyed seeing them as the walked their dogs along Cox Creek. Paulie adapted very well within a few days to indoor life. He acts like he was someone's domesticated cat as if he were never feral before. He loves attention, but loves his wet food even more. He is a very gentle sweetheart in his demeanor. Miss Crystal took a little longer adjusting to indoor life. She may take a few weeks to a month or so to develop trust with their new owners. But she is a love bug too and loves her feathered toys. They will also make excellent mousers, if needed. They still have the feral trait of stranger danger. Therefore, they will hide if guests come to visit. Ideally, someone who has dealt with feral cats as house pets, will do well with these two. Or a cat savvy person, probably a older female, in a calm peaceful home would be the best match. And they need to be the only cats in the household. They have been exposed to a lot of dogs in passing outdoors but uncertain about ALL dogs and indoor circumstances. They are fixed. Tested for Feline Leukemia & Feline Immuno-deficiency Virus. Paulie tested FIV+, but is fine with just his Crystal, no other cats. They are flea treated monthly and dewormed every 3 mths and will continue to need deworming if allowed outdoors after months of acclimating inside. They will be microchipped and their annual (FVRCP & Rabies) vaccines will be updated upon adoption. We are asking for a donation of $150 for the adoption fee for the pair.   For more information on meeting and adopting this kitty, please fill out a pre-adoption application under "ADOPT" on our website at WWW.CATSCRADLERESCUE.COM. Cassandra is simply the sweetest girl looking for loving owners in a cozy, quiet home. Once comfortable she will be devoted to you, showering you with head bumps and love. Story
Carly and Simon are littermates rescued after being found living outside as young kittens.    Carly (black with white patch on her chest) is a sweet, affectionate, playful, curious, adorable, small, seven-month-old kitten. She loves her foster mom and meows, purrs and rubs up against her when she greets her in the morning. She gives nose kisses, head butts and puts her front paws on her foster mom’s face when giving and getting nose kisses. She jumps on her foster mom’s back when she is bending down to pick something up.Carly also likes to sit on her foster mom’s shoulder.   Carly has a favorite soft red ball that she carries around in her mouth, chases after and puts in a shallow cardboard box so she can pounce on it and slide across the hardwood floor in the box. She loves to chase after her favorite homemade toy on a string when her foster mom plays with her.     Carly is rambunctious and full of playful energy when she gets the zoomies, but when she is done playing she loves to curl up on her fuzzy mat and be petted and kissed. She has a wonderful loud purr and purrs a lot when she is being petted or is playing with her favorite toy and even sometimes when she is eating.Carly will let you know with her sweet little meow when she wants attention or wants to be fed. She is friendly with her foster mom’s two cats and adores her brother Simon. Carly and Simon play hard together and cuddle and groom each other.     Carly likes to sit on the cat climber and look out the window at the rain and wildlife. She listens to calming music for cats on the tablet and enjoys watching videos for cats or the tv while sitting on the back of the couch. Carly takes a few minutes to get used to new people, but you can win her over with Churu treats and her favorite toys. She is very treat and toy motivated.   Simon (black and white) is an adorable, playful, smart, observant, shy, seven-month-old kitten who adores his sister, Carly. He is rambunctious and playful and keeps up with his sister’s high activity level.     Simon likes to be petted by his foster mom on his terms, in the morning when he greets her, when he is eating or taking a snooze, and in the evening when he plays with his toys, before his foster mom goes to bed. Simon has even purred a couple times when being petted while he was very relaxed. He closes his eyes and enjoys being petted by his ears and under his chin and likes scratches at the base of his tail and raises his back end to show you how much he likes it.Sometimes when he has had enough petting, he will gently place his paw on his foster mom’s hand and push her hand down and away from him.     Simon loves to sit on his foster mom’s closed laptop and watch the cats on the calming music for cats, videos on the tablet. He also enjoys sitting on the cat climber, watching the wildlife outside through the window. He adores his foster mom’s cats and can frequently be heard softly cooing to them as a way of inviting them to play with him. He wants to be best buddies with them whenever he is around them.   Simon spends a lot of time playing with the circular ball tower, batting the balls around the tower over and over again. Simon is food and toy motivated. He will eat treats and Churu out of his foster mom’s hand.He loves to play with his favorite toy on a string and hops onto his foster mom’s lap to play with it with her.He loves to come check out the different smells on his foster mom’s slippers and fingers, but is not ready to be picked up yet.   It will take a little more time and patience to get Simon fully comfortable and trusting around his people, but he is making great progress and his love of Churu and toys makes it easy to work with him.   Carly and Simon both adore the laser pointer and will race up and down the stairs chasing after it. Another of their all-time favorite toys that they come running to play with from anywhere in the house is the Cat's Meow Motorized Wand Cat Toy. They are captivated by it, chasing the wand and watching it move back and forth.   Carly and Simon would do best being adopted together. They are current on vaccines, spayed and neutered and will be chipped before they are adopted. They both have meticulous litter habits, are not picky eaters and use their scratching posts. They would do great with a cat friendly cat in the home or a very mellow, cat friendly dog. They are looking for a calm home without young children and need space to play and be rambunctious. They need to be indoor only.  Adoption fee is $225 for this young pair.       ption due to the owner's personal circumstances. For more information on meeting and adopting this kitty, please fill out a pre-adoption application under "ADOPT" on our website at WWW.CATSCRADLERESCUE.COM.
