Story
Raja is the sweetest, most loving cat I've ever known. She is brave, curious, and gentle. Extremely well behaved, doesn't even jump up on the kitchen counters. Sadly we are relocating and cannot take her with us, it breaks my heart because she is a part of the family. She needs a loving home where she gets lots of pets, regular brushing, and freedom to venture in and out of the house. She is litterbox trained but also goes outside. She is good with dogs after she gets familiar with them. She is good with little kids, but has not lived with other cats. She is about 7 years old. We are looking for a kind, loving forever home for her.

Story
Wilbur was found with two other similarly aged kittens in the summer of 2021. All were fixed, vaccinated and well cared for. Wilbur must compete with another household cat (one that he grew up with) that continually dominates him. It has been hard on Wilbur, a shy and sweet boy. Wilbur needs a home where he can be the one and only. A quiet home without alarming sounds or fast moving inhabitants (such as kids). When the other cat sn’t around Wilbur comes out of his shell and approaches me carefully, always looking over his shoulder in fear that the other cat is going to push him out of the way, or worse, clobber him. It has been this way for 4 years. When I remove the other cat from the home for a few days at a time, Wilbur comes out to greet people, though gingerly and with an antenna on high alert for the other cat. He will sleep on the bed cuddled up against me on nights that the other cat is outside. I can no longer let both cats in the room at the same time. Wilbur loves to play with toys and the red light but he won’t play much when the boss cat is watching. He has had all of his vaccinations, regular vet visits, and is in good health. He is looking for a quiet warm home, he loves to go outside and hang out in the shrubs and among the flowers. He wants to have a human to cuddle with without being dominated by another cat. His owner lives in Salem and his rehoming fee is $100. Wilbur loves to snuggle and is good as a mostly indoor cat with occasional outside privileges. Wilbur lives in Salem with his caregiver and his rehoming fee is $100. Story
Meet Arthur! The friendliest lap kitty you'll ever meet. Arthur is 8 months old and he is a sweet little guy we adopted from the humane society and he's been wonderful. He loves nothing more than sitting in your lap and attacking the strings of your hoodie and he'll climb up on your shoulders and purr like a happy scarf. Unfortunately my partner and I have discovered we both have a severe reaction to cat dander which has not improved in the month since we adopted him. We are hoping to find a good home for him where he can receive all the love and attention he deserves. He's up to date on all his shots and fixed, he's an indoor-only cat. We have no kids or other pets and we have no knowledge of how he will interact with them. Arthur lives in Hillsboro with his owners and his rehoming fee is $100.   For more information on meeting and adopting this kitty, please fill out a pre-adoption application under "ADOPT" on our website at WWW.CATSCRADLERESCUE.COM. Story
Hera, 2 years old is a work-in-progress reformed feral cat loves attention and affection when she is in the mood. She was born on the street with Dauntless and took a lot longer than Dauntless to adjust being inside. There are moments where Hera seems like she's bipolar: one moment she'll be okay and happy, then the next she'll be agitated and hiss. (But I think that's partly because she doesn't do too well with a lot of other cats and she doesn't do too well with other females who act like "queens" of the house). There are other moments when she likes to just lay next to you and sleep, but not be petted or held, but there are other moments where she likes to play with toys, specifically lasers and feathers. She loves to eat and she especially loves wet food. She loves shelves and cat trees with soft beds and she likes to hang out on balconies, but, because she used to be a feral, I would make sure the space is enclosed. Hera was born on the streets and has been with with my family since we picked her up off the street and it's taken her a little while to warm up to us and become accustomed to being inside so it will take her a little bit of time getting accustomed to a new home and owner. Once she gets used to her new home and family, she'll settle down and as long as she feels like she isn't going to hop from one family to the next, she'd be an amazing new companion. Hera really is a loving and sweet little girl. She would do best as an only cat or maybe a second cat who's a male and she did okay with our older dog, though she mostly just ignored him. Why we're rehoming her: She doesn't do well with my black female cat and she deserves to be in a home where she gets more attention than she already does.   Hera lives in Gresham with her family and her rehoming fee is $30.  Indoor only please.   For more information on meeting and adopting this kitty, please fill out a pre-adoption application under "ADOPT" on our website at WWW.CATSCRADLERESCUE.COM. Story
These sweet, orange and white brothers are a bonded pair looking for a patient and understanding forever home. A year old, they are very shy with people but love other animals. They get along with dogs and absolutely love cuddling and playing with the foster’s cat. These kitties may never be lap cats and only tolerate pets at present, but have never showed an ounce of aggression or anger towards any one. They likely have not received the handling needed to acclimate them more to people. Given that they are still young, this will hopefully improve with a dedicated adopter. While these boys may not seek out attention they are comfortable sharing the living space with their foster family and sleeping on the their bed at night. They will approach you for churu treats which is a good way to earn their trust! Alone with each other or with the other pets, Barley and Oatmeal are silly, playful and affectionate. They are gentle and well behaved kitties who have received excellent vet care and nutrition. These brothers will need a calm home with adopters willing to meet them where they are-adopters who will show them a lifetime of love and security so they will come out of their shells and show their true, adorable personalities. This will be the greatest reward. Neutered, tested, vaccinated, chipped and evaluated by a vet.  Indoor only.  Rehoming fee is $300 for the pair. This cat is offered for adoption due to the owner's personal circumstances. For more information on meeting and adopting this kitty, please fill out a pre-adoption application under "ADOPT" on our website at WWW.CATSCRADLERESCUE.COM.
