Story
Sweet RosieJust like her name, Rosie is as sweet as a rose! This affectionate beauty was found caring for her kittens and brought into a loving foster home where she could raise them safely. Now that her babies are grown, Rosie is fully vetted—spayed, tested, vaccinated, microchipped, and healthy—and ready to begin a life of her own.Rosie loves being close to her person. She gently rubs against her foster’s legs for attention, happily soaks up chin and cheek scratches, and follows her foster around the house like a little shadow. At bedtime, she curls up on the bed for cozy snuggles. She’s also playful and energetic—she’ll chase her favorite string toy endlessly and zoom after tossed balls and toy mice with delight.Rosie would thrive as an only cat, but she’s shown curiosity toward other felines and will likely do well with a friendly male kitty after a slow, thoughtful introduction. She’s not expected to be a good fit with dogs, as she has no known experience with them.A wonderful blend of affection and fun, Rosie will make a loving, devoted companion for the lucky person who brings her home.To learn more or inquire about adopting Rosie, please email Patricia at dpcadams@comcast.net.For more information call 503-397-4353 or email adoption@columbiahumane.orgMarch 7, 2026, 1:53 pm

Story
Meet Baldwin, A gentle soul with a heart as soft as his fur. If you’re looking for a calm, affectionate companion, Baldwin is ready to be your devoted sidekick.Baldwin has come a long way. With care and patience, his coat has fully grown back, and he’s blossomed into a healthy, content cat who clearly appreciates the comforts of a loving home. One of Baldwin’s most charming features is his polydactyl paws—his oversized front “mitts” make him extra special and add to his laid-back, teddy bear-like presence. He’ll happily use those big paws to gently reach out for pets or knead away when he’s feeling especially cozy.Because of his mellow nature, Baldwin would do best in a quiet, low-stress home. He thrives in peaceful environments where he can relax, feel safe, and build a close bond with his person. If you’re ready to open your home to a sweet, resilient cat who just wants love and a calm place to call his own, Baldwin might be the perfect match.*Baldwin is currently being housed at Purrs and Paws pet store in Scappoose. Story
Meet Bora and Burma, A beautiful bonded pair of black-and-white sisters looking for a calm and understanding home where they can truly blossom. These gentle girls come from a difficult past, having lived in a cluttered and overwhelming environment that left them feeling shy and unsure of the world. Because of this, they can be a bit timid at first—but beneath their quiet nature are sweet souls who just need time, patience, and kindness to feel safe.Bora and Burma rely on each other for comfort and confidence, so they must be adopted together. Watching their bond is something truly special—they bring each other reassurance and are never far apart. They would do best in a peaceful home without small children or dogs, where their new family understands that trust takes time. With a consistent routine and a gentle approach, these girls will slowly come out of their shells and show their affectionate sides in their own way.If you have a quiet home and a big heart, Bora and Burma are ready to find safety, love, and a fresh start together—with you. Story
Meet MapleThis lovely, DSH, 1-3 year old female kitty is a sweetheart! She would do best as an only cat but may also be ok with an indifferent male kitty or cat friendly dog. Maple likes her “space” so does not seek to befriend another pet but does love her human! She is a quiet kitty and easy to care for. She adores being pet and rolls over with delight and purrs at the first touch! She likes her naps during the day and is ready to play in the evening. Her da bird toy is her favorite and she can chase it as long as you are up to playing with her!Maple enjoys watching the birds through the window while sitting on her window seat. She climbs the cat trees to find a cubby to curl up in. Her foster says she has a cute meow when she expresses herself. She loves her food and you for feeding her! Spayed, tested, vaccinated and chipped, she is ready for her new home.
