Story
Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OkvLmDhiTRY Pequena is a petite beautiful girl who survived on the streets for most of her young life until she came to our rescue. Despite that, she is very friendly and social and loves to be petted. She is very food motivated and very affectionate. She is not vocal. She is great with other cats and with dogs. She is currently in Oklahoma where she was rescued but can only be adopted out of state. She has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport locations listed below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take her in or she will go back to Oklahoma on the next transport until a new home is found. www.facebook.com/desideratarescue/reviews Transport locations: - Washington State (Kennewick, Lynnwood, Seattle/Tacoma) - Oregon (Portland and Springfield) - Colorado (Ft Lupton) - Illinois (Vandalia) - Indiana (Spiceland) - Ohio (Columbus) - Pennsylvania (Pittsburgh) - New York (Albany and Buffalo) - Connecticut (Enfield) Vetting: spayed, microchipped, rabies vaccine, FeLV/FIV tested, FeLV vaccine x 2, FRVCP vaccine x 2 (minimum), on monthly flea/tick/intestinal worm/heartworm prevention. Adoption fee: $350 (includes the $200 cost of transport from Oklahoma) A lot of shelters/rescues do not test for FeLV/FIV and consequently also do not vaccine for it. But we do. The cost for the test and 2 vaccines is $150. So the cost of that plus the $200 cost of transport is the equivalent of the adoption fee. It does not include their spay/neuter, rabies vaccine, microchip and anti-parasite prevention. Not to mention the cost of food, gas to get to/from the vet, gas to get them to transport and the cost of any other medical needs they may have had. So if the fee seems high, please understand that the cost of saving cats from death is much higher and also that you will have peace of mind about your cat not having or getting leukemia. Getting all the vetting listed above done at a vet with non-rescue rates and in northern states where vets tend to be double or triple the cost as down here would be much more expensive than $350. Story
Charlie is around 15 years old and is in need of a home that can afford to give her a lot of attention. She loves to sit on laps for as long as is allowed. She has a lot of love to give. She is also very talkative and will let you know when it’s time for food (which to her is always). I had to put down my other cat about 6 months ago and I don’t know if the 2 are related but since then she doesn’t use the litter box. She has taken to relieving herself wherever and whenever she wants. I’ve taken her to the vet and they weren’t able to provide any definitive answers. I can’t watch her 24-7 and feel bad about having to keep her locked in the bathroom when I’m at work or not home. I really hope the right person comes across Charlie’s profile and is willing and able to give her the love and care she needs.

Story
Polydactyl adult cat, very picky about litterbox being clean, otherwise a great, lazy by loving cat. Startled easily by fast moving children. Loves Lazer pointer toys and feathers. Trimming claws is a chore with him as he fights it. He enjoys being brushed with a slicker brush. I can provide the one we use on him if you would like. Looking to move cross country and he doesn't travel very well.

Story
Such a big boy! Hes only 8 months old! He is so loving, and will let you pet him all day long and hold him. He loves to play with anyone/anything, and he loves to eat. He will give lots of face rubs and purrs. He will stretch out in the sun spot that comes through the window and be just as cute as can be! He has gotten to the age where he answers to females in heat, and I have other females in the home, and they are his sisters and I can't get him in to be neutered, wait lists are full and the procedure is just way to expensive at places without a wait list. He needs a home where he can be neutered or just no female cats in the home.
