Story
Cookie is a sweet little tabby cat who enjoys having a place to hang out and pets. Not much is known about her history as she showed up at some ones house pregnant. She seems to do ok with other cats and would probably do good with proper introductions. She's never been around dogs or children that I know of but would probably be ok with children who are gentle and know how to be kind and safe around animals. She is ready for her own home. She comes vaccinated, dewormed, tested negative for feline leukemia and aids, microchipped, and spayed. If you are interested in meeting her please fill out an application at www.sccpets.comIf you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application.June 2, 2025, 4:20 pm

Story
Hi, my name is Chris and my sister Lucy (CH-Lucy) and I are looking for a very special person. You see, our human mom took us off the streets as feral cats when we were really young - as cats go, but probably as feral cats go, really too late to 'flip us', to be regular house cats. I have become more outgoing, as time has gone by, but, my human mom has always referred to Lucy as 'a ghost' I think you could actually say that I am the emotional support animal for Lucy (and she is mine) I could be a 24/7 lap cat. I love getting my belly rubbed and being brushed. When I came to SCC, I was pretty matted on my belly, but my foster person and I worked on getting all of those nasty felted mats off of my belly. That feels so nice now. We are ramping down on 12 years old now. SCC got us a senior blood panel and in the scheme of things, we are doing alright. Let me tell you about me. I am quite a bit bigger than my sister, and a very fluffy boy. I am a lot more outgoing than my sister, but still timid. As you can see from our pics, we are very bonded and are often perched together by the window, watching the world go by. We also like to play with catnip mice inside crinkly, kitty tunnels. And I really like treats! The cats in the foster home we are in come to visit us. I like to give them head-butts and am never aggressive with the visitors. Lucy stays back in the shadows and is not so welcoming. We would be best in a quiet home environment, like with retirees that live a quiet life, and are home more. If friends or family do come to visit, they might not see us, but you should know that we will be waiting for your company to leave so that we can come out. As you might assume, kids are a bit noisy for us, and even though we had a dog in our lives before, we can do without that. We are current on our vaccines and microchipped and are very good with our litterbox. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application.February 15, 2025, 2:14 pm

Story
Hi, my name is Ziggy. My human parents are going to be moving out of the country. To be honest, I am told that it is a monumental task just getting the two legged family moved and settled in. It is far more complicated with the four legged family. My humans really wish they could take us with them, but that is the reality we must accept. So, that being said, my human mom is working with SCC to help me find a new family. So, about me, I am a pretty bossy dude and am not really a fan of other cats. I do love my humans and am a delightful companion that loves snuggling on the couch. I am a pretty skilled hunter of my toy mice. I like to play with those stick toys with feather doo-dads and those are great for bonding. Like most cats, I think bathroom doors are an annoyance - where else can you get a captive audience for a few extra pets and chin scratches? I have a perch by the window and that is for those lazy afternoons to watch the birds and squirrels. I like kids of all (probably over age 5) - they can toss my toys for me. As for other cats, well, I am not a fan. I would probably be better as an only cat. I have been known to get jealous of the other cats in the home. I don't have any dog experience, so let's not go there. I have had some outdoor time, so maybe if you like to drink your morning coffee out on the patio, I can join you. I am microchipped and will be brought current on the RCP vaccine. I am very good with my litterbox. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application.September 17, 2025, 12:48 am

Story
Hi, my name is Tina and I am a fluffy girl! My human mom is joining the military and well, I guess it goes without saying, that I would not do well in boot camp. Who wants to wake up at Zero Dark 30, to march? So, SCC is helping me to find my own new duty station - maybe your house? So, about me, I am about 7 years old and can be somewhat timid. I would probably do best in a quiet home. A senior that is home more would be great. We could keep each other company. Because those little tykes can be a bit noisy, I would probably be better with older, cat respecting kids. Especially if they can brush me. I would probably be better as an only pet. I live with a younger labradoodle, and it wants to be my friend, but, I am not amused. There is another cat in my home and I am just cautious around it. I live an indoor life and that suits me fine. I will be brought current on vaccines and microchipped as a part of the adoption process. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application.December 9, 2025, 10:19 pm

Story
I’m a typical kitten who loves to play with laser lights, wand toys and jingle balls. I love being held like a baby and I am really a sucker for the churro treats! At my foster house, we have a game where all of the toys are collected up and then tossed so my brother (CM -Tango) and I can chase them. I do have a few favorites. My brother and I are very bonded and would like a home together! We'd probably do better in a home with older kids. I think the little ones are a bit noisy. I have heard of dogs, but not quite sure what those are. I am already neutered, microchipped, up to date on my vaccinations. So if you have room in your heart and home for too sweet boys, we are ready to go home with you.If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application.January 4, 2026, 4:25 am

Story
Hi everyone! As you can see, I was named for my handsome orange and white tabby color. I was a stray a kind lady was feeding for a few months before she took me in from the cold. She says I'm a very smart guy because I managed to lock the bathroom door, where I was hanging out, from the inside - twice! She also said I am very lovable and playful but a bit timid at first. I don't like other cats right now, but in my defense, it was tough outside and I wasn't neutered then either. I do love attention and some lap time once I'm settled into a nice place. I don't think I like dogs because they weren't nice to me when I was on my own. However, kids that know how to be nice and pet or play with me would probably be okay! I have now been neutered, vaccinated, tested for FeLV/FIV, microchipped, and treated for parasites. I really would like a nice warm lap to snuggle in and my own indoor home instead of being out in the cold with all kinds of horrors to contend with. That means I am all ready to go on a new adventure - maybe to your home?If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application.January 16, 2026, 6:31 pm
