Story
Cookie is a sweet little tabby cat who enjoys having a place to hang out and pets. Not much is known about her history as she showed up at some ones house pregnant. She seems to do ok with other cats and would probably do good with proper introductions. She's never been around dogs or children that I know of but would probably be ok with children who are gentle and know how to be kind and safe around animals. She is ready for her own home. She comes vaccinated, dewormed, tested negative for feline leukemia and aids, microchipped, and spayed. If you are interested in meeting her please fill out an application at www.sccpets.comIf you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application.March 7, 2026, 3:28 pm

Story
Hi, my name is Chris and my sister Lucy (CH-Lucy) and I are looking for a very special person. You see, our human mom took us off the streets as feral cats when we were really young - as cats go, but probably as feral cats go, really too late to 'flip us', to be regular house cats. I have become more outgoing, as time has gone by, but, my human mom has always referred to Lucy as 'a ghost' I think you could actually say that I am the emotional support animal for Lucy (and she is mine) I could be a 24/7 lap cat. I love getting my belly rubbed and being brushed. When I came to SCC, I was pretty matted on my belly, but my foster person and I worked on getting all of those nasty felted mats off of my belly. That feels so nice now. We are ramping down on 12 years old now. SCC got us a senior blood panel and in the scheme of things, we are doing alright. Let me tell you about me. I am quite a bit bigger than my sister, and a very fluffy boy. I am a lot more outgoing than my sister, but still timid. As you can see from our pics, we are very bonded and are often perched together by the window, watching the world go by. We also like to play with catnip mice inside crinkly, kitty tunnels. And I really like treats! The cats in the foster home we are in come to visit us. I like to give them head-butts and am never aggressive with the visitors. Lucy stays back in the shadows and is not so welcoming. We would be best in a quiet home environment, like with retirees that live a quiet life, and are home more. If friends or family do come to visit, they might not see us, but you should know that we will be waiting for your company to leave so that we can come out. As you might assume, kids are a bit noisy for us, and even though we had a dog in our lives before, we can do without that. We are current on our vaccines and microchipped and are very good with our litterbox. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application.March 7, 2026, 3:28 pm

Story
Hi, my name is Oz. Me and my sister are learning about something called 'Allergies' Apparently, that is us. So, our human mom is working with SCC to find us a new home. We are not bonded, but if you were looking to get a pair of cats, and have room in your heart and home for two, well, that would be great! So, let me tell you about myself. I am about two years old and lived an indoor life and that just suits me fine. I love watching the birds and squirrels outside. I might be a little timid at first, but once comfortable, I am quite the lap cat. I love string toys and am quite the hunter of my toys! I live with a dog, other cats, and we get along fine. I live with older kids but I am game to play with anybody. I am very good with the litterbox, I will be brought current on the RCP vaccine and microchipped as a part of the adoption process. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application.August 8, 2026, 12:25 am

Story
Are you looking for an independent cat one that comes to you for pets but is self-sustainable? Already past the terrible 2 stage of getting into everything and destroying things but more like 'let’s chill here together and watch a movie'? A partner who encourages you to live your dreams? Gives you a majestic look of confidence and always there to tell you that you are the most important person in the world, while still allowing you to have your own space and time to yourself? Then I have the cat for you! This beautiful girl, roughly around two years old, give or take a few months is a street cat that was picked up and given a second chance through “Second Chance Companions” and is now a pretty princess who shows her majestic-ness all the time. She can be shy at first, but opens up and becomes a friend. She had one litter and was an amazing mama. Now spayed and no longer able to bare children, she’s looking for a furever home. She gets along with other cats, can be playful, submits to hierarchies, but eventually wins their hearts over. She does great with older children and will hang out with video gamers. She likes to talk to you, whatever you're doing! She is current on vaccines, FeLV/FIV tested and negative for both, spayed, clear of parasites, and litter box trained. Please fill out an adoption at www.sccpets.com and her foster will be in touch so she can come home to you!If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application.August 8, 2026, 12:25 am

Story
Tabasco is one of five kittens who arrived at the Van Plaza PetSmart in an Amazon delivery tote—a frightening start to life for such young kittens. As you might imagine, the experience left them scared and overwhelmed. After a few days of quiet time to decompress, plenty of good food, and treatment for fleas, their true personalities began to shine. Now Tabasco is a happy, affectionate kitten who starts purring the moment you offer attention. He may need some convincing to join you for lap time but should adopt him with one of his brothers, it may happen faster. Tabasco has been neutered, tested negative for FeLV and FIV, started on vaccinations and deworming, and is microchipped—ready to find a loving forever home.If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application.August 8, 2026, 12:25 am
